Battymama - lol about DD wanting to be a cat rather than a pumpkin!
Fluffy - well done on your sleep last night, hope it continues! I have always woken up for the loo at around 3am, even before pregnancy. Not sure why! Maybe I should stop drinking tea in the evening; oh well, too late now that my bladder's the size of a pea!!
Beller - maybe tell your sis you don't want just 'any' nursing bras, but pretty and girly ones to make you feel like you may not have lost all your sex appeal by becoming a mom! Maybe she just sees them as a 'baby utility' type purchase? I'm due on Jan 4th, so lulu might potentially share a birthday with you!!

Might be a good idea to download your hypnosis cds onto an mp3 player/ipod if you have one, then you can listen to them anywhere.

Awen - am starting to get a little concerned about what may be on my hypnosis cds; I could have any kind of subconcsious message implanted in there!! Like 'email us your credit card and bank account details' . Might listen to them while I'm up and about doing the dishes or something, just to be safe!

Battymamma · 31/10/2007 10:59

Happy halloweed to you lilyloo - i fainted whilst having my highlights done the other day! I think its the sitting/lying still in warm surroundings that does it! Sounds like a nice weekend away.

Awen - I got humphreys corner off of ebay. I love humphreys corner - its so cute!

Beller - i think nursing tops and bras are sensible birthday gift! Have a look on the web and point her in the right direction

Hiya fluffymummy

Battymamma · 31/10/2007 11:01

oh beller - tell us how it goes! I bet it'll be on the tele!

beller · 31/10/2007 11:03

lulubump..what a great idea! hadnt thought of that! hahaha

Battymamma - i have done that..you can make a wish list on BM, there were 2 i liked so have sent that

Amani · 31/10/2007 11:07

Beller - sounds exciting all this shoulder rubbing with celebs! Let us know any goss (i.e does Louise Rednapp wear lots of foundation to cover her pimples? etc)

Neuro - I know she got signed off work for a week.

beller · 31/10/2007 12:02

heheh well they come in they were selling tickets for a celeb sports relief night tomorrow night.....guys in the office have been buying them for £500..they had 5 to sell to our office....Lisa Snowdon came accross as quite snooty...Louise Rednap was nice...and soooooo tiny!

Battymamma · 31/10/2007 12:11

you can tell Snowdown's snooty from that Top Model programme thing on Living TV. Did the men act appropriately or not???

gingeme · 31/10/2007 12:19

Afternoon. My birthday is 6th November. My boys rang from Scotland last night and asked how old I was going to be. I told them to guess. My eldest said 32 and my second said 38. I am actualy going to be 37
I think your very brave asking for underwear for your birthdays. I wouldnt dare ask mt dh to buy me undies especialy at the moment. I circled a few pairs of nice ear rings and a nice watch with a metal strap as I have one which my parents bought me from Cyprus which is a lovely pink but Ive bought about 4 straps for it and theyve all split.
Dh has just left for the hospital. Dont think hes worried about the op just the being sick bit after. He is always sick. I guess the anesthetic affects people in different ways. Felt a bit bad having breakfast in front of him this morning too. Have put lunch off till hes gone.
I find it easier saying how long Ive got to go in weeks rather than months. I get so confused as to how pregnant I am! I have 11 weeks to go. Or if people ask when Im due I say early January.
Well off to get me and ds3 some lunch now.
Have a good afternoon all xxx

beller · 31/10/2007 12:19

not too bad to be fair....she was stomping round the room in leggings and boots...think they were speechless hahaha

Amani · 31/10/2007 12:23

To be honest I didn't even know who Lisa Snowdon was until I watch 'UK NEXT TOP MODEL' - I would have classified someone like Kate Moss to be on par with Tyra.

OP posts:
beller · 31/10/2007 12:28

yup..im with u on that Amani...not sure what lisa snowdon is famous for apart from dating George! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

mixedmama · 31/10/2007 12:35

Hey all,

Good luck for DH op Gingeme.. funny how they still need their mums isnt it.

I am off today as I had a horrible night of choking on my own saliva... awful actually contemplated waking DH up and making him take me to A&E. Went to docs this mornign tho and she said it is acid and gave me lots of gaviscon.

Spoke to Neuro on Facebook and she is just relaxin watching films and stuff... she does have access i think but one of the women on the Dec thread had some not so good news and Neuro didnt want to come on and moan. She will be back tho, told her we are all mising her.

Not much else from me I am afraid. Just hi everyone.

gingeme · 31/10/2007 13:27

Is that what it is mixedmama? Ive been choking oon my own saliva realy loads the past few days. Feel realy stupid doing it too. So its down to acid mmmm!!!
Dh's Mum just texted me to say hes gone down Gulp!! Definately the end of our baby making days now then

sabinar · 31/10/2007 13:51

eh. i really want to go to yoga this afternoon, but I suspect that I won't be too popular turning up to a room full of pregnant ladies with my stinking cold. And breathing in through the nose is not really working v well either.

I guess I'm going to have to pass. hurumph

mixedmama - eek re: choking on saliva. That sounds scary! I've been waking up throughout the night with reflux which is gross, but not scary. Sounds to me like what you're having is something a bit different... I hope the gaviscon does the trick!

Battymamma · 31/10/2007 13:54

Hi mixedmama - hope you're ok. Get some well deserved rest and sleep.

Gingeme - of course its your dh's op today! Good luck to him. God, i hope it doesn't hurt.

Beller - stomping aound in leggins and boots. Silly woman. Yes famous for George and thats about it!

sabinar · 31/10/2007 13:54

eh. and in a fabulous example of pregnancy brain, what I really meant to post originally is that I just had my MW appt and everything is good. Low BP, weeing on the stick went well, LO is head down and is on the left side now, which apparently is a good thing (it gives my poor ribcage a break on the other side, so I'm happy!), and he's measuring about right apparently.

Ah, I would be so happy if every MW appt goes as smoothly as this for the next 10 weeks.

Oh, also - I found out that from 36 weeks I have appointments every week! Every week!? That sounds like a lot. I wonder if I'll be swanning around doing no work by then and looking for diversions... that would be nice

beller · 31/10/2007 14:35

mixedmamma- hope you feel better soon xx

Sabinar - very annoying to miss yoga, but guess youre right..put your feet up! I have them every 2 weeks now until 36, then every week too! I Have 8 weeks to go!! woo-hoo xx

Gingme - Hope your DH is ok xx

Amani · 31/10/2007 14:42

MM - get well soon.

Got 8 weeks left too. When is your due date Beller?

OP posts:
susiemj · 31/10/2007 14:51

Afternoon all!

I have had a very exciting day (for a sick person)! I have been supermarket shopping for the first time in 5 months. It may sound like bliss to have such a break, but it would have been impossible for me to do this even two weeks ago so am well cheered up.

Gingme - hope DH is fine.

Beller, Amani, Battymama and Awen - due next month now. How exciting!

Madmouse - That sounds like quite some position - my babe seems to like only one very small corner of my belly and spends her time trying to squash herself up in it as much as possible. It goes way high on that side!

Sabinar - glad you're feeling better. And well done for not going to yoga. DH's colleague went to work with suspected pnuemonia last week and DH nearly hit the roof!

Lulubump - I have that CD but haven't started listening yet. How many weeks are you? I may start as have had first pang of labour fear.

Fluffy - glad you're sleeping ok. I find it amazing how I go back to sleep after at the moment, even if I do wake up loads of times.

Beller - I think it's a good present too. Have you seen the Elle McPherson lacy-type one? It's really pretty. Not cotton though - my skin's too mad for anything else so have really attractive pure cotton massive ones.

Mixedmama - the acid sounds horrible. Hope the Gaviscon does the trick.

On the note of digestional things, has anyone been burping loads lately? Sorry to ask but I'm really conscious that I've been doing it loads at night.

See you all later.

beller · 31/10/2007 15:04

Amani - 28th dec..so i have 8 weeks 2 days eek

susiemj - Elle macpherson range is in M isnt it? Im thinking of asking for vouchers so i can shoose my own? and size

sabinar · 31/10/2007 15:23

susiemj - glad to hear your up and about

I hear you on the burping. I blame it on the fact that I'm having a boy though, and that it's actually the sea-monkey making me do it, not actually me.

not sure anyone is convinced ;)

I'm just worried that I"m going to get into the habit of burping and won't notice myself doing it when I'm in public, which would be terrible!

Amani · 31/10/2007 15:29

Me too - burping lots after evening meal ...but trying to eat light in the evenings now anyhow.

Beller - am 2 days behind you, due 30th Dec, think we need to find our list as a reminder as to who we are expected to 'pop' first....

whoops - lost a bit of text

Me too - burping lots after evening meal ...but trying to eat light in the evenings now anyhow to see if it helps with my heartburn/wind issues.

Hi Beller, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'm' but this is the one I mean here. You can get it at figleaves etc and I think John lewis too. I think it's almost nicer in white, and I'm usually a black undies sort of a gal. It doesn't look terribly practical, but that's the appeal isn't it. You'd feel lika a MAMA in that I think, not 'just' a mum.

Neuro · 31/10/2007 15:51

Hello all!
I am off sick and not spending much time on computer. My off sickness is now starting to be lovely. Resting my back for a few days but will start swimming on Friday i think and going to day classes that one can't if one has to go to work.
Oh my sickness has been signed off by doc which has instigated me starting Mat Leave early....I think i am starting to like it!
Will read all your posts now
Hope everyone is well (I am posting this on the Dec board too!)
