Actually the worst of it was I didn't even hange my clothes just threw an overcoat on

sfxmum · 14/11/2007 14:05

sorry about your dad Minkus fingers crossed nothing serious.

I am seeing the GP on monday and asking for an early viability scan, have had 3mc and one of them a blighted ovum discovered at 12wks, so fully understand worries quite jittery myself.

did not have sickness before just low level constant nausea which is bearable and seems to be the same now.

hope everyone ok

MINNIE1 · 14/11/2007 14:56

Minkus
Sore throut is a bad bad thing! Could you do honey and lemon that always does the trick for me....

sfxmum
Its a horrible wait! Esp if you have a MC in the past. I somtimes feel doctors don't understand the worrie we have.

Could be an idea to steel a scanning machine and a person who could work it!

mcchesers · 14/11/2007 16:04

Evening Ladies

Just back from EPU and all is well. She said I had a "perfect little circle with a yolk sac" ..everything measuring spot on at 6 weeks. Sooo I go back in two weeks to measure again. There was no infection and the urine was clear and fine. She said the cramping was from where I had ovulated on the right side. Ahhh. Phew!

I'll be going back every 2 weeks for a while just so that they can keep an eye on my progress. This is good, I can sleep tonight

minkus - Hope you get to feeling better, and that your dad is ok.

sfxmum - I had a blighted ovum with my last which is why I went to EPU, and it's given me a lot of relief from anxiety.

now the wait 2 weeks until the next appointment

sfxmum · 14/11/2007 16:09

that is good to hear mccheesers

mcchesers · 14/11/2007 16:27

Cheers sfxmum I feel sooo much better now.

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 16:33

mcchesers - that is great news I am thinking I want to go for a scan now but I am trying to wait until 8 weeks.

One of my friends just texted me to tell me her little boy has come down with chicken pox, we visited them on Monday and have looked on NHS website and you are infectious from 2 days before spots appear to 5 days after luckily I had chicken pox really bad when I was little so am immune but still a worry as the DDs haven't had it. Apparently if caught when pregnant it can cause abnormalities mega . I suppose there nothing I can do now if the Dds get it theres not much I can do, I will just be on spot watch.

sfxmum · 14/11/2007 16:40

SK here is some info

it may not get to you at all

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 16:44

thanks sfxmum - I am quite happy as I know for sure I have had it in childhood as I was nearly hospitalised with it, the GP said it was the worst case he had seen I had spots everywhere in my mouth and even my erm vagina, I have loads of scars including two on my face

mcchesers · 14/11/2007 16:49

thanks SK! Ick Chicken Pox when we were kids our parents used to get us to play with kids who had chicken pox in hopes that we got it and had it out of the way while we were young. I caught it my senior year of high school and was hospitalized. Needless to say I didn't graduate, or go to prom and it was bad bad bad. I hope everything goes alright and maybe they can pass by being exposed.

mcchesers · 14/11/2007 16:50

Oh yeah, those spots get everywhere..even on the downstairs. yuck!

cass66 · 14/11/2007 19:01

if you've had chicken pox you will have antibodies that you will be passing onto and protecting your baby with. so don't worry about the exposure. it's if you haven't had it that there is a risk of anomalies. hope that reassures.

I think I've over done it a bit today. went to the gym, just did a bit of treadmill walking and a short swim, but then went back with my 3yr old after lunch for a swim, then usual afterschool ballet etc. feel shattered. and I am only four weeks. I feel an early night coming on. thank goodness my hubby is here to do bathtime etc. will pass on my dance class tonight I think.

To answer the question further up the thread, I'm in Surrey and I'm 37. Was kind-of hoping I still have time for another after this one (if all goes well) as my Mum had me at 41 and I always fancied 3... must be mad though as DD (gorgeous and wonderful though she is) does keep me busy so heaven knows what it will be like with two, let alone three.

I've had some mild cravings - but not sure if they count as they are for: chocolate lime sweets (which I haven't yet been able to locate) and old-fashioned marshmallows . Is a bit sad, I know. I'm also finding the smell of bread makes me gag, so toast in the morning is proving challenging, but I don't fancy anything else.

Verso · 14/11/2007 20:28

Mcchesers - fab news! Glad all is well - you must be really relieved .

MINNIE1 · 14/11/2007 20:42

mcchesers
Brill news so glad that wait is over, Its wait in the waiting room with sweaty hands and thinking all sorts.

My DDs had the chicken pox last summer one after the other, Glas there out of the way. Both had them really bad. sweetkitty lets hope your dd does;nt get them just yet.

Had a mad evening of running around, DD2 had injections and when i got home DD1 was in hipper form.
Boobs are starting to tingle.. Off to bed so sad at 8.45 but i just need sleep! Could that count as a craving

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 14/11/2007 21:09

Hello - can I join you?? I got a BFP yesterday We had just decided to try in the New Year - I must have ovulated early .

mcchesers · 14/11/2007 21:24

congrats and welcome! I'm not sure where the stats list is, but we'll need to get you on it.
gonna nip to the shops to get rice crispy treats mmmm.

sfxmum · 14/11/2007 21:30

welcome PT

verso am on the border of the county btw

sweetkitty · 14/11/2007 21:43

hello and welcome PTIYPASI, you have far too long a name

Have read up on the chicken pox and know I am fine being immune, I suppose it's better for the DDs to get it in childhood instead of being exposed to it as adults but they still seem too young, I know I'm just being a Mum.

No cravings here can't face food have no appetite and am just eating to stop my stomach rumbling.

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 15/11/2007 09:06

Good morning . I'm 37 next week and also want to have 3. I've got an 11 month old DD and I've gone from feeling rather daunted and feeling selfishly selfish about missing out on birthday, christmas and new year booze, to being just a little bit excited .

sweetkitty · 15/11/2007 09:25

pipesmoke (thats what I'm going to call you cos I can never remember the initials) - great aage gap too, 3 is the new 2 you know

oh I cannot brush my teeth for long enough without gagging and I have gone all spotty, I never bloom in pregnancy, get that radiant pregnancy glow I look like S* beginning to end. Apparently an old wives tale, if you glow it's a boy, if you don't it's a girl because apparently girls steal their mothers looks that means I'm a right ugly dog now.

Soph73 · 15/11/2007 09:43

Sorry all but can I just butt in? I am on the due in April thread but have just seen a name on here I recognise from the ttc threads - sweetkitty - congrats, am so happy for you Hope the sickness passes soon.

mcchesers · 15/11/2007 10:10

Morning all-

SK- That's an interesting theory. I must be having one stunner of a girl because I look like hell. I'm all broken out on my shoulders and face. I'm thinking about going to get my brows waxed. Looks like two dead caterpillars over my eyes. Growing a lovely 'tash as well.

I'm jealous of your nausea. I'm just a bit drooly and as before the super sense of smell. EPU says it's ok and every pregnancy is different.

sfxmum · 15/11/2007 10:18

morning all

about the theory I was fine last time had a dd
my sis gad lovely pg with her girl but with the boy she was constantly sick, got brown patched all over face etc.

absence of symptoms I think must really just keep busy and take dd out for a walk

hope you all keeping well

sweetkitty · 15/11/2007 11:52

Thanks soph - hope your pregnancy is going well

I think old wives tales are just that tales, everyone is so different and every pregnancy is different, especially the carrying for a boy/girl. Even after I had the scan to show DD1 was a girl people were still saying I was carrying for a boy(?) and the scan was wrong. And depneding on how you talk to the shape of your bump means different things.
