@SpyroC I usually hate surprises so am being very sanguine about this one!!!
Interesting you have a low placenta too - seems it's more prevalent in those who've had IBF/ treatment though I'm not sure why. All they've said so far is as you mention, that 9/10 move away but they'll scan again at 32 and 36 weeks to see what's what with it. Given we're planning a c section anyway, that's fine in itself, to not have a VB but I'd rather it moved as then less chance of heavy bleeding, complications and an EMCS!! Will just have to keep hoping for the best and trying to get through each day again til we reach July. Agree on wanting to go to sleep and waking up in July - it seems a long time away yet.
I'd not heard of the accessory placenta either and no, we just had one embryo put back. They said it could be that a part of it broke off (?) and didn't pass so is basically attached to the main placenta. I think it can be pretty dangerous post delivery is they DON'T know about it and there's also a risk of more blood loss with the removal of it too so we'll have that to contend with I guess but the main thing is they DO know about it and can remove it at the same time during the CS. I've an appt with the consultant and midwife in a couple of weeks so have decided to sit tight until then and save up my list of questions about it all as easier face to face - albeit with a mask - than over the phone - and there's nothing that can be done about any of it right now anyway, other than try not to stress about it!!
As you say - the main thing is that baby is ok so as long as they're ok in there despite the additional placenta (!) taking up their space, then that's ok. Everything else can be dealt with.
Sorry to hear you had a scare yesterday with not feeling her moving - that sounds very scary indeed. Totally the right thing to do to call and go in and be checked. It's what they're used to and they're here to help. Very pleased to hear that everything was ok with her! I think I felt baby again this morning with a couple of pops but not really sure if I'm making it up?! It's hard to tell - though think as I feel more, I'll feel more confident with what it is I am feeling. Looking forward to feeling more as time progresses as it's a bit of reassurance isn't it. I still can't believe there is a baby there most of the time tbh!!!
@ekam I also received a couple from a friend and cousin and DH bought me a "Baby on Board" badge (London - though not traveling on the tube at the mo!!) which was super sweet of him! Agree it was surreal though!!
Is it worth mentioning the blood sugar level drop to your midwife in case they want to do a set of bloods to check all is ok? I feel myself getting a bit breathless from time to time now which never used to happen and was a bit of a surprise! And having to walk at a slightly slower pace than normal.
It sounds as though you've a v active baby in there if you can feel kicking already!!! I might have a gentle poke of mine and see if it gets them moving a bit more!!!
@SpyroC forgot to say - argh on the covid student!!! Are you back in classes now or have you been in all the time? Have they put anything in place for you or is it a case of PPE and keeping your fingers crossed?
