mixedmama · 22/10/2007 14:17

worse thing is amani is i feel fine....

Neuro · 22/10/2007 14:24

Amani waht does HB mean? I know nothing!

Amani · 22/10/2007 14:28

MM - mmm...maybe you needed to get it out of your system to make you feel better.

Neuro - good question, what does HB mean...?

skidaddle · 22/10/2007 14:32

hb - haemoglobin

Neuro · 22/10/2007 14:36

I don't know what my level was in last weeks' test. I didn't think to ask.

Is it only 2.35pm???? Holy makerel, hours til hometime...

suey2 · 22/10/2007 14:36

hb = haemoglobin. The iron count, effectively. Should be 14-16 i think? Each wee hb attaches onto 4 oxygen molecules to transport them around the body to where they are needed ofr metabolism. No Hb, No O2, No energy as you need the O2 for combustion.

Neuro your boss is just jealous that he and DP left it too late and you didn't. Feck him

ohhh suey harsh words from you today.

claireybee · 22/10/2007 14:44

Loucee did you get the right size coorie or one a size too small from their measurements? Only i've heard a lot of people say they had to return their original one based on the measurements and get the size smaller. I love these slings and really really want one (which would make us a 3 buggy, 3 sling household...) but I would need the smallest size anyway so worried that even that could be too big!

skidaddle · 22/10/2007 14:44

I think hb under 10 is when they prescribe iron tablets? Mine is 11.8 and nothing prescribed so must be below that.

It probably says your level on your notes neuro

Amani · 22/10/2007 14:44

Am at that sort of language from Suey2....

suey2 · 22/10/2007 14:50

sorry amani have real problem with swearing
Neuro, i have just looked at my notes. The ideal range is 11.4 - 15.0. Mine was 13.2 last time.

mixedmama · 22/10/2007 14:54

suey2 · 22/10/2007 14:59

How funny! It is interesting the impressions we form of each other. I have definitely decided to stop being so PC on MN because lets face it, no-one else is! Shame i can't come to the curry friday- do let us know how it went MM

Well remembered Suey!
My boss and his partner - nothing ever happens to them. All they're going to do is get old. They have no children to make the different stages of life. I'm excited about the fact that i will hopefully one day be a granny. I love my maternal grandmother to bits and can't wait til i'm living round the corner from her. I'm the only one that gives her bear hugs whether she wants them or not. Thing is, i don't think old people get enough hugs and the current generation haven't been brought up to ask for them like we would. I always make my granny giggle and it gives me a glimpse of the girl she probably once was. And i tell her off for wearing beige! She looks great in red, and in bright green, and when she appears in colour she is always more jolly. Be nice to just hanging out with her and her great grandchild. 4 generations. it's so cool!

Is it me or is time going so slowly today...

Neuro · 22/10/2007 15:03

i'm waiting for a duty doc to call me back, going to take the call in open plan office and lay it on thick. Altho don't really need to as it sounds bad however i say it.

Amani · 22/10/2007 15:03

Suey2 - I always thought you were a bit prim and proper were as I think of Neuro as a bit of a wild one

No offence...!!

Amani · 22/10/2007 15:04

Neruo - that's so sweet about your grandma - I now have to change my opinion of you....!!!

mixedmama · 22/10/2007 15:07

That sounds lovely Neuro.... I am the only grandchild out of 48-50 odd grandchildren who kisses and hugs my grandma hello and goodbye always. But think that is my paternal family coming through as with Turks you hug and kiss absolutely everyone.

suey2 · 22/10/2007 15:07

None taken! You don't imagine a big, tall, very scottish (accented) foul mouthed woman when imagining me, evidently! My DH would PHSL if I was ever described as prim and proper! When his posh law school mates met me for the first time it was 'she's very direct, isn't she?'

Neuro are you still coming down to London?

skidaddle · 22/10/2007 15:11

where is claraq today? claraq I dreamt that you were employed as Benezir Bhutto's bodyguard when you went to Pakistan and you were posting on mn about all your near-escapes from bombs and terrorists - does that sound likely?
