Hey!
I was sick loads with my last - 7-8 times a day for 17 weeks. He’s totally fine and other than that it was a normal pregnancy.

I’m a bit worried today as took a pregnancy test this morning and the line is lighter. I’m 5 weeks so I know really early days - I know I just have to wait and hope. Anyone got any stories of this happening and it being okay? Need some reassurance!

toptreeroots1 · 07/10/2020 07:06

Yep 1-7 times a day for 30 weeks for me and baby was absolutely fine.

I'm 4+5 and still no symptoms which worries me.
I'm not taking any more tests this time as last time I did one every day for two weeks and it just sent my anxiety spiralling. Try not to read anything into it . They are only designed to give a yes or no answer x

Hey everyone, I’ve been ill the last few days and tested positive for Covid today. I’m 6 weeks today and no idea if the baby will be ok. Does anyone know anyone who’s been pregnant and had coronavirus?

LadyHalesBroach · 07/10/2020 21:48

Oh no @Workingmummyof2soontobe3 really thinking of you and hoping you’re ok. Have you spoken to a doctor or midwife about it?

That’s sucks! Sorry to hear it. I’ve read that it’s okay to have Covid when pregnant - doesn’t pass to the embryo or baby, especially at early stages. Only risk would be high fever I expect - which is the same for any virus. If it helps, I had really bad flu when 8 weeks with my first last time and it was fine.

This time however, despite the pregnancy symptoms, I’m definitely out. Meant to be 5 weeks but got 1-2 weeks on clear blue today and FRER lines getting lighter. So gutted but glad it’s an early loss. Just in limbo now waiting for bleeding to start.

Best of luck everyone!
x

I am so so sorry. Really am thinking of you

DMT1982 · 10/10/2020 09:04

I had food poisoning when I was 20 weeks pregnant with my first and only kept water down for 4/5 days and lost loads of weight. Midwife said babies take the nutrients they need like little leeches (lol) so not to be overly concerned. I’ve never felt so ill in my life and went on to have a healthy little boy. Speak to your doctor or midwife for piece of mind 😊

Somanyquestions111 · 10/10/2020 09:39

I’ve got
Some light yellow mucus discharge, no smell no pain no itch. Sure I had this previous pregnancy??

DMT1982 · 10/10/2020 12:30

I have the same

Somanyquestions111 · 10/10/2020 12:56

Really! ThT is reassuring

I’m almost certain I had the same before in previous pregnancy as I remember them swabbing me and was all fine
How many weeks are you

buntingandstarcharts · 10/10/2020 13:54

Hi everyone. I'm stressing out here, please help. I am (should be) 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Tested on clear blue advanced last Sunday (6 days ago) and it said 3+ weeks, then today, I had one left and tested. It said 2-3 weeks. Does this mean I am going to miscarry? Can over hydration change the result or am I grasping at straws? Thanks in advance x

DMT1982 · 10/10/2020 14:31

I’m 5 nearly 6 weeks I think 🤔 I have a 2 year old and can’t seem to remember anything from my early pregnancy 🤦‍♀️

DMT1982 · 10/10/2020 14:33

buntingandstarcharts

I have no medical background whatsoever but if you feel fine and have bad pains then try to go along not thinking about it and don’t do anymore tests as you are obviously pregnant but getting stressed won’t help you or baby xx

buntingandstarcharts · 10/10/2020 15:26

@DMT1982 thanks, i don't have any signs of miscarrying so maybe I should think positively. Ahh. I just can't help thinking that this must mean a missed miscarriage. When is the earliest time you should have an early scan? X

DMT1982 · 10/10/2020 15:38

I think the earliest you can get a private scan is 6 weeks however the NHS sometimes send mums for early scans if they are experiencing issues ie bleeding, pains, other reasons to scan that I am not aware of.
I can’t imagine you would be eligible for an early NHS scan as cramping in pregnancy is normal however if you wanted to pay for an early scan to possibly put your mind at rest the maybe look into that. All I would say if that the early scans don’t always pick up the heart beat and this may make you worry unnecessarily. If you can try to just relax and remain positive then that would be best for you and your body which in turn will help baby xx

buntingandstarcharts · 10/10/2020 15:45

Thanks @DMT1982 that's really helpful, and super kind xxx

Somanyquestions111 · 10/10/2020 18:36

Clearblue say to only use first morning urine for weeks indicator as hydration will dilute hormone

Could take apart and see if likes darker xx

LadyHalesBroach · 10/10/2020 20:46

@buntingandstarcharts @DMT1982 I was offered a EP scan to try and date my pregnancy as cycles are all over the place. Couldn’t find a heart beat but too early so going back next week, should be 6 weeks next week.

DMT1982 · 11/10/2020 08:05

That’s great you were offered an early scan due to you cycles especially in the current climate with Covid. I know some health trusts are better at offering more scans than others as some friends has three scans so 12 weeks. 20 weeks and again at 32 weeks but my trust only offer the first two which is a shame as would have been lovely to seen my little boy at 32 weeks just for peace of mind really.

Happy2be · 11/10/2020 09:29

mummy2bear · 11/10/2020 13:44

@Happy2be could you add me to the Facebook group please ? I have no idea how to pm you 🙈

MotherOfCrocodiles · 12/10/2020 17:06

Hi everyone, not sure if people are still reading this as there seems to be another thread as well and a facebook group (I don't do fb though)

Just wanted to grumble that I am now feeling really sick and yucky. Dreading the next several weeks of this (should be 7 weeks today). Time goes so slowly when you are feeling nauseous doesn't it? At least I am WFH so can have a lie down several times a day!

MrsV2018 · 12/10/2020 17:53

@MotherOfCrocodiles sorry you're not feeling very well. Hopefully the sickness will pass soon for you.
I don't do fb either so not part of the fb group.

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 12/10/2020 21:38

@MotherOfCrocodiles I’m feeling so sick too so you have my sympathy, I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and expecting it to be done with by 14 weeks as that’s how it went in my last pregnancies. I’ve had Covid and severe sickness for a few days so i have tablets now off the doctor they’ve helped so much, you put them between your lip and gum and they dissolve so if you’re sick they still get in your system. You could ask your doc for something if you’re struggling x

FurBabyMum02 · 13/10/2020 08:52

Hoping someone can put my mind at rest. I will be about 5 weeks by now and know its early but worrying I don't have symptoms and it might mean a mc. I mc before at 7 weeks and could feel in my bones there was something not right, only had slightly tender and bigger boobs that time but nothing yet this time. When did your early symptoms start?
