Anyone else out there?! Very excited but super early days so haven’t got anyone else to share this news with!

That's so funny about your 5 year old. At least it suggests she will welcome the little one. We got a lot of 'put it back' from DD who was almost 2 when we brought DS home. Erm, no thanks, ouch!

MrsV2018 · 01/10/2020 16:31

Thank you @MotherOfCrocodiles and @Workingmummyof2soontobe3

I'm feeling abit of fatigue in the day as well and then can't sleep at night. Hope you manage to get some rest?

That's so sweet of your 5year old. I've heard that young children are super intuitive with things like that.

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 01/10/2020 16:39

As a family we have been talking about having another baby for at least a year, we discuss names and who will help with what, the fact we will need a bigger car lol so she is super aware and really excited and I think she can just feel it from me that it's actually happening now.

Right after I conceived she did come to me and say I have decided I dont want a new baby cause you might not love me then (sob) but she's back on board with the plan now I have pinky promised she will always be my baby girl. Bless her

Can I join?
Got my bfp today. 3 weeks plus 6 days and due 11th June.
Have a girl all ready who is 4.5 years old.
Previous pre eclampsia and just a rough pregnancy in general last time.. excited but nervous

Moneypenny2020 · 02/10/2020 09:48

Hi ladies
Hope it’s ok if I join too. I’ve been a long time Mumsnet lurker but having been driving myself crazy for the last 7 days after my BFP I’ve finally decided I need some allies!
I’ll be due on 1st June I think. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks earlier in the year, so I’m already feeling so worried and anxious about this time. Hardly any symptoms at all, I keep trying to convince myself I’m feeling a bit peaky, but I think it’s wishful thinking (why I’m wishing myself sick I just don’t know!). How is everyone else feeling, I’m seeing lots of people starting to feel sick but if there anyone else who feels....completely normal?

toptreeroots1 · 02/10/2020 10:10

Completely fine for me at the moment .
4 week's today
Last time my sickness started at 5 weeks and lasted every day until 35 weeks
I am hoping it's not so bad this time ..I was vomiting up to 7 times a day on my worst days.

Wishing you a happy pregnancy :)

Penny2020 · 02/10/2020 10:23

Wow, 7 times a day is brutal! I Feel stupid ‘wanting’ symptoms when it might end up with my head in a toilet non-stop.
Hope it’s better for you this time.

toptreeroots1 · 02/10/2020 10:24

Ah thank you.
I hope everything goes well for you as well

MotherOfCrocodiles · 02/10/2020 11:45

I'm still feeling fine, I think that's pretty normal at this stage. I found this blog with some actual research on it, if you are that way inclined. expectingscience.com/2016/03/11/nausea-and-the-risk-of-miscarriage-how-much-does-morning-sickness-lower-your-risk/

I think the takehome is that the average point at which people start feeling nauseous is about 5.5-6 weeks, peak vom is typically around 9 weeks, and although lack of nausea at 9 weeks indicates a slightly lower chance of a successful pregnancy , she says:

"When a women’s nausea begins does not matter. Women who had nausea starting at 4 weeks or at 7 weeks have about the same low chances of a miscarriage. "

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 02/10/2020 11:59

@Moneypenny2020 I am due around the 1st too and I felt totally normal till yesterday. I feel like I could sleep for a week today and I was sick this morning. My husband cooked bacon late last night and left the pan on the side and I heaved as soon as I smelt it! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I wouldn't worry about lack of symptoms it's still early days and some people don't get any at all x

toptreeroots1 · 02/10/2020 12:14

My only symptom right now is the odd twinge really low down .
I don't remember this with my dd .
I only remember the sickness

Penny2020 · 02/10/2020 13:12

@MotherOfCrocodiles thank you so much for sharing that. I’ve just been reading the article and it’s actually the first time I’ve felt reassured!
I’ll just try to enjoy myself whilst I still can

MrsV2018 · 03/10/2020 09:05

@MotherOfCrocodiles that article is really helpful

What supplements are you all taking? I'm only taking folic acid and vitamin d at the moment. But I've heard that dha is meant to be good during pregnancy?

toptreeroots1 · 03/10/2020 09:35

I purchased a pregnancy multivitamin yesterday.
Just a boots own brand one

IntotheWoods84 · 03/10/2020 23:34

Hey!
Can I join? Just got a BFP today at 17dpo. This would be baby 2 for me and I’m really hoping those little cells keep doing their thing.
Have cramping, morning sickness (already - fml) and the craziest fatigue so I guess my body is telling me it’s real!

Somanyquestions111 · 04/10/2020 07:47

Panicking again here.... those lower abdo cramps we all had, mine seemed to stop around 5 weeks +2, in 6+2 now. Anyone else’s stopped?

Somanyquestions111 · 04/10/2020 07:47

Hey congratulations!!! The fatigue is the one thing that’s shocked me this time around

toptreeroots1 · 04/10/2020 08:04

4+2 here and my twinges have stopped.
After a symptom heavy pregnancy with my daughter this is very strange .
Hoping all is ok

Somanyquestions111 · 04/10/2020 08:11

It’s driving me mad analysing all the symptoms too. Hoping for a reassuring scan so can then relax. It’s still early days for symptoms don’t worry xx my pregnancies with my my other two children were vastly different

toptreeroots1 · 04/10/2020 09:53

I really should know not to wish sickness and all the other symptoms on my self haha x
It's maddening isn't it .
I had forgot about all this

Meganwarbs · 04/10/2020 13:22

Hi! Can I join? Smile I am 4 weeks 3 days pregnant after our first round of ICSI. My due date is 10th June according to my app!

toptreeroots1 · 04/10/2020 13:36

Congratulations.
I am the 11 June so very close 😁

Somanyquestions111 · 06/10/2020 14:48

How is everyone doing? I’m 6.5 weeks now and sickness has truly set in. Have a scan in a couple of days hope that will be ok. Anyone ever worried if being sick harms baby? As obviously
I’m
Worried lol. I’ve only actually vomited 3x. Just hope it doesn’t dislodge baby or something. That sounds mental I realise lol.

MummyOfZog · 06/10/2020 15:20

@Somanyquestions111 Sorry you're feeling sick! It's the worst. Don't worry, being sick won't hurt the baby! I was throwing up all the time during my first pregnancy and he's fine!

I'm 4+5 and no real symptoms here. Could honestly forget I'm even pregnant.... rather strange. But also, dreading when the sickness does arrive!

toptreeroots1 · 06/10/2020 16:21

I was sick every day from 5-35 weeks in my last. Very healthy baby girl. It won't harm the baby

4 weeks and 4 days here. No symptoms still. Bracing my self for the sickness. I know what to expect this time and I am dreading it haha but also worried about the lack off symptoms
