Anyone else out there?! Very excited but super early days so haven’t got anyone else to share this news with!

@Motherofcrocodiles I'm also dreading telling my work, I've only been back 5 months since my last maternity leave ended.
I'm trying to work out if I can afford to take a year off next time.

MummyOfZog · 28/09/2020 14:17

Marking my place.

VERY early days for me. Found out on Saturday eve at 9DPO and have since got stronger lines and BFPs on digitals.

Really cautious atm as I have got low progesterone levels typically which can increase miscarriage risks. So taking it all day by day!

MummyOfZog · 28/09/2020 14:23

Oh also ... this is my second. My DS just turned 4 last month (now at school). It feels so long ago since I did this whole pregnancy thing that I've got no idea what's going on! And I admit, I too have taken so many bloody tests!

Somanyquestions111 · 28/09/2020 14:39

I feel the same congratulations!! I am going to be pissing on sticks until I can have scans regularly I think. I’m such a worrier. Trying to take symptoms I now have as a good thing congratulations

So sorry about your BIL!! Urgh people always love to stick their nose in don’t theg

MummyOfZog · 30/09/2020 14:32

Hi everyone! How are you all? Any strong symptoms showing yet?

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 30/09/2020 15:09

@MummyOfZog I haven't got any. In my head I felt horrendous from the moment I got a bfp with my last 2 but I don't know if I have made that up. I am only 5 weeks so still really early. How about you?

Somanyquestions111 · 30/09/2020 15:13

5+5 now. Nausea is really really setting in. Feel intermittently very sick but not all the time?? Same with boobs - intermittently sensitive. Clear discharge on and off when wipe - only a small amount.
Cramping seems to have settled don’t know if that’s normal which worries me

Somanyquestions111 · 30/09/2020 15:59

I can’t remember pregnancies before but my nausea comes and goes rather than constant is that normal?

MrsV2018 · 30/09/2020 16:13

Hi. Can I join? Just did a test this morning and got my first ever BFP after years of trying and going through ivf. I've already told work and close family as they already knew we were going through ivf but still can't believe it. I think I'm due early June

Somanyquestions111 · 30/09/2020 16:22

Oh my goodness this is wonderful news for you congratulations xx

rosegoldivy · 30/09/2020 18:00

Congratulations @mrsV2018 that's amazing news.

I told my manager today, he just laughed and said it was fab news.

I don't know if I've been feeling a bit sick or imaging it, is anyone else like this?

Somanyquestions111 · 30/09/2020 19:35

How far are you? I thought that about a week ago but now I’m well and truly sick hah

MummyOfZog · 30/09/2020 20:51

aww congratulations @MrsV2018 !

I'm still early at just 4 weeks pregnant. I didn't get any normal pregnancy symptoms until about 6-7 weeks with DS and that's when the nausea and extreme fatigue set in so I'm trying to relish this time when I feel normal as I know what might lie ahead! I've had some v minor cramping. With DS I remember having terribly painful cramps for the first few weeks though.

MrsV2018 · 30/09/2020 21:20

@Somanyquestions111 thank you and congrats to you too

@rosegoldivy congrats! I haven't had really any symptoms at all except for some really bad cramps which mainly come on at night when I get into bed. But I'm hoping it's normal. Other than that no real symptoms but I'm guessing they will come soon enough

@MummyOfZog congrats to you too. I'm 4 weeks today as well.

Have any of you contacted your gp to start the ball rolling? I'm just not sure how all this works. I'm still under the fertility clinics care and they are doing a 7 week scan but I don't know if I should let me Gp know as well

MummyOfZog · 01/10/2020 07:24

Where I live we can self refer to community midwifery team by an online form - I've done that already which feels terribly early but the NHS date the pregnancy by last period date until you've had the dating scan at 12wk and due to my random/long/irregular cycles that would put me at 6.5weeks+ (which I'm not as I know when I ovulated! So I'm 4weeks) and the midwifery team like to do booking in appointment here at 8 weeks or just before.... so thought I best contact them!

Jinglebells87 · 01/10/2020 10:31

Morning everybody! How is everyone doing today? I woke up with lower back ache which I don't know if it's a good thing, bad thing or totally unrelated to being pregnant. Anyway, it's made me feel really anxious (even more than I already wasSad).

Somanyquestions111 · 01/10/2020 10:35

I am 5+6 now but about a week ago I had so much lower back pain! That’s settled now - seems maybe very normal for this stage??

Jinglebells87 · 01/10/2020 10:48

@Somanyquestions111 thanks, that's reassuring. I'm only 4+4 so about a week behind you! I don't remember getting it this early with my previous pregnancies. It's silly really because I worry when I don't have symptoms and worry when I do! Oh the joys! Has the morning sickness started to kick in yet for you?

Somanyquestions111 · 01/10/2020 10:51

I’m exactly the same!!! The backpain seems to have passed now. I didn’t have early in previous pregnancies either! I wonder if maybe everything more relaxed and stretches quicker the more pregnancies you have?

I am getting really bad nausea every day but not all day it’s intermittent - can’t remember if that’s normal. One hour I feel ok then next feel mega sick xx

rosegoldivy · 01/10/2020 10:55

@somanyquestions111 I'm the same with the nausea but it's thst milkd I don't know if Ive just convinced myself I fell nauseous because I know I'm pregnant if that makes sense?
I'm about 5 weeks so if my last pregnancy is anything to go by I have about 2 weeks before I'm full out lying on the bathroom floor ill.
At least this time I won't need to hide in the bathroom at work trying to hide it!!

Jinglebells87 · 01/10/2020 10:56

@Somanyquestions111 yes I think it's completely normal for it to come and go in waves. At least you get a little break in between feeling rubbish! I have ordered some of those travel sickness bands for when it ramps up a bit. Not sure if they even work but makes me feel better having them on and used them in previous pregnancies! Lol!

MotherOfCrocodiles · 01/10/2020 12:32

Congratulations MrsV!

I'm not feeling sick yet but pretty sure I will be soon. Have been desperately trying to tackle things round the house that require standing up and feeling strong (like, chucking out the old flat pack furniture from the loft and finishing the half-built cupboard in toddler DS's room) before I lose that ability for 8 weeks!
Last time round I got caught out in the middle of digging up the front garden when the sickness came on and we have no front path for a couple of months as a result - you stepped out the door into the trench where I had been about to install it! Poor postman having to navigate that every day for weeks! :-(

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 01/10/2020 14:17

congratulations @MrsV2018 how lovely for you.

I'm super tired today, not like I could sleep but like my body needs to lie down lol. Feel like I might be coming down with something but is that just fatigue? Anyone else feel like this?

Workingmummyof2soontobe3 · 01/10/2020 14:18

Also I still haven't told anyone but I swear my 5 year old knows, she keeps patting my tummy saying aww baby sister

MotherOfCrocodiles · 01/10/2020 15:02

I think it's that special pg fatigue. I remember the first hint I was pg with my first one - was on holiday in the Alps and went for a 'gentle stroll' (as in, actually recommended by a freind with a 5 year old - I'm normally an enthusiastic hill walker). I got about half was round and just had to sit down, couldn't continue uphill at all. Very specific feeling - not tired out by activity, not sleepy, just running on empty. Oh the joys!
