OK hopefully no-one else has started a new thread!

OP posts:

BTW claraq, have you seen this thread on VBAC?

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 13:33

I thought that the BF helped to reduce the size of uterus. altho no firsts hand experience as didnt feed for long enough.... so may well be spewing rubbissh once again, but got to be worth a go.

skidaddle · 01/10/2007 13:36

yes that's right MM - encourages the uterus to contract - but think it's all the energy used in producing the milk that actually makes you lose weight

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 13:41

That makes sense. Defo going to give it a real go this time with no influences from anyone else, feeling quite positive.

Neuro · 01/10/2007 13:44

Skidaddle - An A means less far to fall/point downwards.

I think definitely a good bit of walking every day will help body and spirit (and things easier to achieve if both sides working), plus a couple of gym visits pw/swimming and i reckon yoga once a week. Gently put it on and gently lose it must be best otherwise you'd end up like some of those celebs with skinny bodies but their stomachs look all wrong. AND fresh air for baby = baby sleeping longer. In theory.

And obv just maintaining a regime must be key. Regime is the wrong word! Sounds too much like punishment.

I am looking forward to our post natal chats. I know it's a bit sad, but i don't know any other pregnant women, so without MN i now think i'd be a bit lost.

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 13:47

You know i am really looking forward to them as well. All the little things baby does and it has to be said that the support on here will be second to none for any baby blues, weight loss and milestones.

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 13:59

Am looking forward to it too, will be nice to chat to people whose LOs are the same age as mine, especially as we have gone through our pgs together too!

skidaddle · 01/10/2007 14:01

becklespookle? are we all changing our names today?!
Can't wait till we can all talk about our babies instead of our bumps either

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 14:02

beckle - have u name changed as well...

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 14:08

Thought I would try on a Halloween name seeing as it is October now!

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:20

i'd imagine posting on MN when post natal becomes a night time activity. Thank goodness for the internet

Wizzska · 01/10/2007 14:24

We can name ourselves, but not our babies! Is that right? I still can't think of names.

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 14:29

Wouldnt like to saddle my child with Mixedmama tho...

skidaddle · 01/10/2007 14:35

I have actually just scrolled down to see if any of your mn names could be given to my baby!
Amani for a girl, Wizzska for a boy - what do you reckon?

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:37

Mixedmama sounds quite hip hop though. Could be a good stage name?

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 14:48

I am so stuck on names. I have a boy's name ready but am really struggling with girl's names! There are a couple I like but nothing that feels right, nothing I really love. Might have to resort to starting a 'names' thread if I can't think of one soon!

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:51

I don't like any of the names i started out with all those months ago...reckon you need to see little one's face in order to name.

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 14:52

I agree Neuro but it would be nice to have some idea before I give birth! Don't want to end up giving baby a name I don't love just so s/he has one IYKWIM?

Wizzska · 01/10/2007 14:53

Will The Boy Wizz ever be anything else than The Boy Wizz? I've given up on names and am hoping for divine inspiration when I finally meet him.

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:55

Does everyone on here know what sex they are having?

MamaMaiasaura · 01/10/2007 14:59

My names that I thought I had decided on are now not feeling right. Argghhh is a difficult one.

PUdding is kicking me in exit and it is very disconcerting.

Neuro - congratualtions on job

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 15:01

having a little boy and it seems that DH has decided on Ediz (which I actually chose and he said he hated) yet he suddenly announced that he really likes it and thinks we should stick with that. So very pleased with myself for letting him think he is making the decisions and getting my own way.

MamaMaiasaura · 01/10/2007 15:07

that is great mixedmama. I remember th edebate. We are between Samuel & Daniel atm.. Matthew is now creeping in as a possibility and so are sooo many others! lol

Wizzska · 01/10/2007 15:07

Mixedmama, how did you pull off that particular trick? Well done!

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 15:12

Well done Mixedmama! Am failing horribly to get DH to like anything I am keen on!
Neuro, sonographer thought baby might be a girl but as legs were crossed at the ankle it could be a boy who was hiding his bits! Not sure if that counts as knowing or not! Feels like not knowing to me though because we can't plan anything definite! Am looking forward to the semi-surprise though and it is nice to plan boy's names as well as girl's ones!
