want a jacket potato for lunch too - but it leves me feeling so full and the carbs make me feel so drowsy in the afternoon. Could fall asleep at my desk

Amani · 08/10/2007 14:44

Happy Wedding Aniversary for tomorrow Beckle!!

Neuro · 08/10/2007 14:46

Suey I can't wait to feel light again. Is going to be amazing.

Loucee · 08/10/2007 14:54

Yes it is quite quiet in here today, I'm stuck indoors all day for courier to collect my pram to go to its new home. FIL came to mind DD for an hour whilst i went to the physio so at least I got out of the house for a bit.
Physio again commented on how far apart my stomach muscles are and said I am not allowed to pick up and carry DD now and i'm to do a million tummy pull ins a day. She's scared me a bit as she said "i'm very aware you STILL have another 10 wks to go" Just how bad can they get?

Amani - which brand of video monitor did you get? I did have a Boots one but exchanged it for a BT digital as the picture was so bad.

Suey - no wonder you're shattered with all that going on at the weekend! You're right though to start taking things more slowly at the weeeknd, just one dinner party per week I think.

We've cancelled the hypnobirthing course, I've ordered the book and CD from a mnetter instead to try and help a bit but my car is making very strange noises and is really on its last legs so we need to put all finances into a new car.

Wizzska · 08/10/2007 14:56

Housemum - pmsl re lawn. Are all men the same?

Loucee · 08/10/2007 15:07

Suey - the tiredness after the baby is totally different to what we're going through now. At the moment it's also a physical struggle to do somethings whereas afterwards it's just a tiredness.... and that's what parents/friends/partners etc are there to help with! Don't let them frighten you

Wizzska · 08/10/2007 15:08

I can tell you one particularly unexpected side effect of being 32 weeks pregnant is - I'm really enjoying the football and rugby. DH would watch it all the time if he could, I usually am going to the gym, cleaning the house, mowing the lawn - generally being busy. I could never sit still for long enough to watch a whole game. Now I find it really nice to have the excuse have a nice long sit down.

fifisworld · 08/10/2007 15:27

Glad im not the only one who's feeling totally exhausted
Ive only got 12 more days to work and i cant wait to leave. Im only part time and do 4 days a week but its wearing me out. My day starts at 5.15am coz ive got to get both me and ds ready and get him to whoever's having him on that day, and then make a further 2 bus journeys to get to work

I went into town for a night out with dp and a few other couples on sat night, never again. We were back home for 11, i was knackered and it was awful being sober when everyone else was drunk, including dp who fell asleep on the toilet

skidaddle · 08/10/2007 15:45

fifi - starting your day at 5.15 sounds horrendous, thank goodness you've only got 12 days left of work

wizzska - I'm also getting quite into the footie if I can stay up for Match of the Day

that's true about the tiredness loucee - it is just tiredness rather than struggling to do everyday things like go up the stairs

what's happened to MM - she hasn't been on for ages - has anyone 'seen' her on any other threads? Hope she's OK

Amani · 08/10/2007 15:48

Skid - Was asking the same on the Jan 08 thread but it seems no one has heard from her! Bit worried as she usually mentions when she is not going to be around.

Loucee - think you got the wrong person regarding video monitor!!!

fifisworld · 08/10/2007 15:52

Just done a search for mm, she hasnt been on since the 4th
Hope she's ok

claraq · 08/10/2007 15:53

Fifisworld - boy your mornings make me feel more knackered just thinking about them. I am even more tired than earlier as just did a massive shop in Sainsbury's - spent £117 how did that happen? and had to lug everything up stairs when I got home as our kitchen is on the 2nd floor. Wonder how long I will be able to continnue doing that?

Suey2 - as others have said, the tiredness after the baby comes is very different from what you are feeling now. One of the nice things is that although you will get less sleep, you will get much better quality sleep. I just remember getting into bed and turning out like a light; these days I toss and turn and then half an hour later have to get up for a pee... Plus I think all the extra blood or oxygen or something we are creating also makes up more tired. Apparently pregnancy is like climbing a mountain every day! Btw I could still get my wedding ring on but pregnancy has caused me to have very dry skin and I have been getting ecezma where the rings are so have stopped wearing them.

Becklespookle - after Nov 5 are you going to be Becklesnowflake?

insywinsyspider · 08/10/2007 15:55

fifisworld - at 12 days left at work, not at how early your day starts tho, I'm up for 6am but childminder lives across the road so I leave early and dh walks him over for 8am - I've got 8 wks and counting.... i know I need to get as cloase to xmas as poss but its going to be hard going

thanks for cold advice - I can't stand honey so will have to try ribenna when I get home and bath but once bathroom is cleaned, was going to do it last night but fell asleep its horrible, wish I had a cleaner!

claraq · 08/10/2007 15:56

Skidd - was wondering about MM too - just had a look back and she was here on Thursday saying she hadn't been too well the day before so perhaps she is at home sick? Hopefully nothing serious...

Loucee · 08/10/2007 16:02

Amani sorry I meant Ambi - what make is your video monitor? The Boots one I tried was awful.

skidaddle · 08/10/2007 16:54

Oh dear hope MM is OK

also meant to ask you claraq - when your dd was breech last time - could you tell she was breech by feeling your bump? I keep thinking I can feel his feet at the bottom of my bump and then trying to work out whether he could still be head down but with his feet up around his head - I'm sure it's completely pointless and I'll just have to wait until my next mw sppt but could you tell?

Wizzska · 08/10/2007 17:34

I think DS is head down at the moment, kicking me in the ribs on my right side. He's been doing that for a couple of weeks now since my last mw appointment. I hope that's him settled, don't want to worry about him turning to breech.

fifisworld · 08/10/2007 17:38

At my last mw appointment ds was head down, but the week before he'd been lying right across me.
With ds1 he was head down from about 26 weeks and stayed that way.
Is anyone else on here having an elective cs???

Loucee · 08/10/2007 19:23

MM - hope you're alright hunny. Bit worrying after she had those braxton hicks too eh?

Fifi - no I'm not having an elective cs but I sometimes wonder if I should, the nearer the dd comes the more nervous I am.

Oh my goodness, just had the shock of my life, weighed myself on the scales upstairs and it made me 2 stone heavier than I thought I was so prompted me to go to the gym where I weighed myself and phew, I am a lot heavier than I thought but not as bad as the scales upstairs!

cazzybabs · 08/10/2007 19:41

I am off to the midwife tomorrow - about a month after I should have gone. Hope everything is alright....

I don;t have water retention on my thighs just fat retention!

I am also knackered.

Amani · 08/10/2007 20:58

Evening all,

Just checking to see how everyone is...

LO is having a party inside me today and feeling lots of movement this evening - so uncomfortable!

Am due to see m/w tomorrow aswell to draw more blood - looking forwad to hearing heartbeat though.

Feeling really drained these days to. Felt really guilty as DD wanted to play with the water in the bathroom sink and I just didn't have the energy to watch over her so tried to distract her with books but she ended up having a tantrum and crying. Felt so awful too that I had tears in my eyes and managed to calm heb down by singing to her ('Happy Birthday' to the entire cast of 'In the Night Garden'!)

Ambi · 08/10/2007 21:12

direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-6499.aspx hope that link works to the monitor.

Ambi · 08/10/2007 21:17

Just realised we do have similar names Amani, hang on I'll change over...

Amberooni · 08/10/2007 21:21

Hope name change has worked,

Bouncingturtle · 09/10/2007 07:40

Hello just caught up!
Yes I'm also feeling tired!!
Wedding rings are too uncomfortable, struggle to get them on and off as my fingers are very prone to swelling so now wearing them on chain around my neck. Had this problem pre-pg but it is worse now. Ankles fine though!
Anyone got any weird itchy rashes? I have on my left arm, and my collegue (whose dw is 27 weeks pg) also has had unxplained itchy rash too! Can't recall coming into contact with anything that has caused it so will ask MW but probably will need to see GP. Apparently your immune system is quite low during pg, so avoid germy folks!!!
