Thank you all

I'm currently on the way down to hospital again as I woke up with shoulder pain it did just feel like I had slept funny but as day goes on its sore and worse when I breathe in. They told me yesterday when they discharged me to come straight down if I experienced this as it's a sign of tube rupturing. I rang maternity and they said to come down. Hoping it's nothing

sachaf08 · 17/06/2020 12:40

@Hopefulmummie oh dear, I hope you get seen quickly and they get it sorted out once and for all. I almost can't believe they sent you home but I guess they do know what they're doing, and better to be safe than sorry so you're doing the right thing going back. Keep us updated!

@Skyla01 it's pretty bad at the moment tbh, yesterday I had an okay day and I thought maybe it's starting to slowly go away, but today it's worse than ever! I'm in week 11 now so really hoping it'll start to go away soon! Is yours getting better now?

Hopefulmummie · 17/06/2020 13:17

@sachaf08 thank you.
I think cause I was feeling alot better the past 2 days and I had already been in a week they had no reason to keep me in

Skyla01 · 17/06/2020 14:36

@sachaf08 I'm sorry your nausea is still bad! Maybe it's a girl?! Hope it gets better soon. Thankfully my nausea is a lot better most of the time, think I've been quite lucky. Still feeling generally hungover & exhausted. I'm 9.5wks so we're getting there, hopefully not long until we feel normal again!

sachaf08 · 17/06/2020 19:17

@Skyla01 I would love a girl! Mostly because we can't find any boy's names we like πŸ˜‚
You're right, not long to go till we hopefully feel more normal. I'm moving house in 2 weeks so I'm really counting on it!!

Skyla01 · 18/06/2020 08:16

@sachaf08 I've realised I really want a girl! Have name picked out and everything. Nearer the time I'll need to prepare myself for either so I'm not disappointed if it's a boy! I know a healthy baby is all that matters but my subconscious has already made up its mind what it wants.

The main thing killing me now is exhaustion. I'm in bed by 9pm each night, unable to stay up any longer. Then I go to bed and mostly have insomnia and barely sleep. Driving me bananas! Bring on the weekend so I can snooze all day too.

BabyG123 · 18/06/2020 08:37

Girls partners allowed for scans next week in my hospital. They didn't call I call them!

Oooh @BabyG123 that’s great news! When is your scan?

I’ve been chasing my referral and the ultrasound dept emailed me Tuesday to say they’ve booked me in and I’ll be getting a letter soon 😬

Still doesn’t feel real as no nausea etc. still, just a little tired in the afternoons πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ So looking forward to actually seeing something.

BabyDust13 · 18/06/2020 09:21

Morning ladies

Just waiting for my call from the midwife this morning for some reason I'm feeling nervous

Hope You are all well

BabyG123 · 18/06/2020 10:15

@OrangeJ not until Thursday. I'm terribly nervous about Mmc and don't know why πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

@BabyG123 that's great news! Is your 12 wk scan next week, you must be a bit further along than me. Sorry have forgotten everyone's dates! I will definitely be phoning to check before my scan- just under 3wks to go so plenty of time for rules to relax for us too.

I know exactly what you mean about mmc. I know the chances of that without any symptoms of it are really small but until you have a scan you just don't know... Time is moving slowly but scan date is gradually getting closer for us all!

sachaf08 · 18/06/2020 14:17

@BabyG123 I feel a bit nervous about that too, but I'm trying to adopt the attitude of not worrying about it till/unless it's happened.. easier said than done I know! Hopefully we'll all be feeling more calm and positive after our scans. I still haven't got my date even tho I'm in week 11 right now.

I'm struggling so much with sickness today and to top it all off, after a morning of throwing up I realised my engagement ring has vanished from my finger sometime in the last 12 hours! I've searched everywhere and starting to think it might have gone down the drain somehow when I was feeling too awful to notice! 😱 It wasn't super expensive but obviously it has so much sentimental value😭

sachaf08 · 18/06/2020 14:18

@BabyDust13 sorry forgot to ask how was your call?

Hopefulmummie · 18/06/2020 14:31

So I've ended up being admitted to hospital again :( I went for my scan this morning which showed the pregnancy has got slightly bigger than last week so they told me I would more than likely require surgery as methotrexate injection hadn't worked.

Then they were asking me did I want to try another dose of methotrexate or go for surgery which is a big decision to make.
In the end my blood results came back and showed that pregnancy levels have actually went down
Methotrexate affects the liver and tests have shown mine has got worse so they don't want to have to give me it unless it's necessary.
I'm being kept in overnight to have more tests done tomorrow and if levels go down again hopefully I will be allowed home and no more treatment

BabyDust13 · 18/06/2020 14:37

@sachaf08 it was ok only about 20 mins long just asked general medical history questions then booked me in for tomorrow for bloods and some other tests 😊

Have to wait for a letter to come with the date of my scan

How are you?

Skyla01 · 18/06/2020 15:58

@sachaf08 oh no that's a nightmare! Really hope you find your ring. Maybe try chasing up your scan? Not long until 12 wks...

@Hopefulmummie so sorry to hear you are back in. Hope you can avoid surgery xx

NicNac85 · 18/06/2020 19:37

Hi @BabyG123, I haven’t posted much on here as been to ill to do anything really. Just wanted to say I have a scan next Thurs too! I’m extremely worried as had a mmc last Sept even though had all the symptoms, exactly the same symptoms as I do now. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🀞

sachaf08 · 18/06/2020 21:46

@BabyDust13 yes I'm ok, I had the same call last week but where I am they're doing the bloods etc at the scan appointment, not sure if that varies from place to place! Also my midwife put me on daily aspirin because I had a high blood pressure reading at the docs last year. My nausea has really ramped up the last 2 days, it's been pretty grim!

OrangeJ · 19/06/2020 09:29

Oh gosh. Here I am, 8 weeks today feeling little symptoms then BOOM...threw up! I wasn’t feeling nauseous, just felt as though I could be sick 🀭

@NicNac85 sorry about your MMC, that must have been so hard. Hope you feel better soon and good luck for your scan. Not long to go now.

@Hopefulmummie so sorry you’ve had such a tough time. I’m really hoping this is all over for you soon. X

Skyla01 · 19/06/2020 15:46

@OrangeJ uh oh- I hope it was just a once off for you. I get nausea on and off but fortunately I haven't actually been sick. I went to bed at 830pm last night- can't believe it's come to that & I still feel tired today! Just a few weeks to go until 2nd trimester.

OrangeJ · 20/06/2020 21:53

@Skyla01 hopefully so 🀞 8.30 sounds lush!

Finally got my scan appointment through today - 16th July 😬 and says partner is welcome!

Nothing about a booking appointment though and just says bloods will be done same time as scan. Is anyone else not having a booking appointment? Think I might call to double check on Monday just in case.

BabyG123 · 20/06/2020 22:04

I had a private scan today and it was amazing. Nhs one in the week. We booked today's as was worried my husband couldn't come. Turns out he can now anyway!

sachaf08 · 20/06/2020 22:32

I had my booking in appointment over the phone with midwife yesterday and she said still no partners allowed.. I guess it might be different in different areas?

Skyla01 · 21/06/2020 09:27

@OrangeJ I would chase up booking. It's only a load of questions but you should be due it soon. I had booking + bloods in person but in many places they do it over the phone with bloods taken at the scan.

@BabyG123 that's lovely- and you both get 2 scans to see now!

@sachaf08 yeah it's sounds different all over the place. I've still got fingers crossed my hospital will change policy too. Still 2.5 weeks to go.

I've finally started sleeping better the last few nights- thank goodness! So I'm slightly less zombie like during the day. Has anyone noticed their tummies getting any bigger yet?

OrangeJ · 21/06/2020 20:32

@Skyla01 yea will definitely give them a call tomorrow. And omg yes, but only because of the carbs I’ve been shovelling down my throat 🀣 I’ve read some threads where women say they didn’t show til like 16 weeks with their first 😱 Are you showing? Is this your first?

@BabyG123 ah two scans sounds perfect πŸ‘Œ glad all was good 😊
