@MoonW Congrats on your BFP! π
@BabyDust13 glad youβve got your scan booked in pretty quick and this time tomorrow you will be feeling more reassured. X
@Positivetime glad your scan went well. Iβm sure if the fibroid was a concern they would have said something. Could you call them up to double check?
Iβve called my gp this afternoon to tell them and get myself booked in etc. (Bearing in mind nhs website does state to call as soon as you know you are pregnant). Told the gp my ovulation date - 8th May, and that I got a positive test last Monday and have been testing positive since then. She asked me to double check my dates and confidently told me that, and I quote, my dates βmake no senseβ. I double checked as she had me doubting myself and feeling very stupid and they are 100% right! Do medical professionals not know about 10miu tests? And more to the point, does it matter when I got the positive test?! I really dislike this doctor. Iβve been to her once before to ask about irregular periods and PCOS. She told me βitβs very common, lots of women have it and if you have got it, thereβs nothing you can do about itβ.
Anyway, she went on to say that I was very early (I know this, but following nhs guidance here!) and nobody would need to do anything with me until the 12 week scan. So maybe I donβt get a booking appointment in my area? When she asked where I wanted to have the baby I explained that we will have moved house by then to Cambridge (currently in Essex, my postcode is 29 miles from Rosie hospital in Cambridge), she told me they donβt refer to that hospital and to look on their website...but I have and they donβt take self-referrals. She suggests I have scans etc. in Essex and transfer at a later stage.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? I donβt know what itβs like to transfer care halfway through your pregnancy?
I feel so lost, unsupported and really donβt know what to do βΉοΈ
