@BabyDust13 glad your scan went while and how exciting that might be twins. Did they say they would definitely be able to tell you at your next scan?

BabyDust13 · 29/05/2020 00:31

Thanks everyone

@Hopefulmummie she said by the next scan if it is another baby we should be able to see another heartbeat. Just have to wait and see I guess

It's scary but exciting at the same time

Positivetime · 29/05/2020 08:56

@BabyDust13 ahh that’s brilliant news! So relieved for you that everything is ok!

Sorry I didn’t check in and wish you luck beforehand. I’ve felt crap the last couple of days cos of work issues so under a lot of stress which is not good for the baby I know!

BabyDust13 · 29/05/2020 09:36

@Positivetime that's ok thank you πŸ₯°

Positivetime · 29/05/2020 09:40

Hope everyone is keeping well x

MoonW · 29/05/2020 09:44

@Positivetime I’m sorry you’re feeling so stressed at the moment and hope the work issues are sorted soon for you πŸ’•

Skyla01 · 29/05/2020 09:48

@BabyDust13 that's great news everything looks good, very reassuring for you!

BabyDust13 · 29/05/2020 11:42

@Skyla01 thank you 😊

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 14:20

Has anyone else decided to get a private scan? I've booked one on Tuesday mostly because I've realised I can't deal with assessing every slight symptom anymore up till 12 week scan! I know I'm being overly paranoid but I think I just need to know either way if it's progressing normally.

MoonW · 29/05/2020 14:40

@sachaf08 I’ve spoken to window to the womb today and will be booking an early scan for in 2 to 2 and a half weeks time unless anything happens in the meantime 🀞 Who have you booked yours with and how many weeks will you be on Tuesday? Smile I don’t think you’re being overly paranoid at all, it feels like a long time to wait until the 12 week scan to know everything is OK xx

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 14:46

@MoonW thanks, glad it's not just me! I'll be roughly 7.5 weeks on Tuesday, and I'm going to Window to the womb who have a 7 week minimum I think on the early reassurance scans. There's a bit of confusion around when I actually conceived as I skipped a period the month before, but it means that 7.5 weeks is the minimum I could be (I think).. I could actually be more like 9.5 but based on when I started having implantation style symptoms I think 7.5 is more likely.
How far will you be in 2 weeks time?

MoonW · 29/05/2020 15:48

@sachaf08 definitely not just you, and I’m also feeling the same regarding analysing every symptom/twinge etc. When I spoke to them today she said they do early scans from 6weeks but they recommend waiting and having one from 7 weeks as she said by that point there should be a definite heartbeat. I’ll be 7 weeks on the 17th June so aiming to book for a couple of days after that 🀞

How are you feeling today? x

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 15:54

@MoonW oh good, at least I've not booked mine any earlier than that. I'm alright, I was worried this morning that I didn't feel sick like I have been recently but I think it's coming back now. Have you had any symptoms yet?

MoonW · 29/05/2020 16:12

@sachaf08 oh bless you, I hope the sickness isn’t too bad for you x

I’ve not really had a huge amount of symptoms, but still got ongoing sore boobs since ovulation which usually goes when af arrives, and yesterday I took a bite out of a sandwich and instantly gagged and couldn’t bear the taste (and it was all my favourites in it!). Also have had ongoing niggly β€˜feelings’ and mild cramps in my lower abdomen but not always completely painful.

Skyla01 · 29/05/2020 16:14

@sachaf08 I'm thinking about getting a scan. The clinic near me only scan from 8wks. I'm 7wks tomorrow by lmp but I ovulate late so might be a bit less. So I might wait until 8.5wks just to be sure. I'll wait and see when my 12wk date is and see if I want to wait that long! It would be nice to get some reassurance earlier but also don't want to waste money... Not long to go until Tuesday!

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 16:50

@MoonW it's not that terrible, I threw up on Monday but it's been a bit more manageable since probably because I've been making myself eat regularly. I had the same thing with sweet potato- had it for dinner one night, the next day the thought of it made me gag, it's still the same now. Really annoying because I love it normally. I still get cramps every now and then but I think they're milder as time goes on.

@Skyla01 oh really, is that not window to the womb then? I wanted to wait until 8 weeks but tbh I keep getting random pains (which is probably just indigestion or things stretching) but I manage to work myself up every time convinced it's an ectopic even though I don't really have any of the symptoms of it. I basically just need to be told it's in the right place so I can chill a little bit! I'll let you know how it goes. I read today that because of CV in some places booking in appointments aren't happening till 12 week scan which could be pushed to 14 weeks! I don't know how they can expect people to wait that long and not go completely mad with stress!! You sound like you're being a bit more sensible about things than I am though!Blush

BabyDust13 · 29/05/2020 17:02

So does anyone else feel sick unless they are eating? Or is it just me πŸ·πŸ˜‚

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 18:33

@BabyDust13 I think this is pretty much my situation, although I sometimes feel sick as well if I eat too quickly ! And water isn't sitting too well, but I've found those little triangular orange ice lollies an absolute godsend πŸ˜…

Hopefulmummie · 29/05/2020 18:40

Hi everyone

I've discovered I'm slightly spotting this afternoon.
Theres not much but looks like could be start of something.
I'm unsure what to do?

BabyDust13 · 29/05/2020 18:44

@sachaf08 I love those lollies will add them to my shopping list thanks

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 18:53

@Hopefulmummie I'm sorry to hear that, although as far as I know it could be a non threatening bleed just as much as it could be something bad. How far along are you? Are you able to get in touch with GP or local early pregnancy care to get a scan? They might give you a scan if you've had bleeding depending on how far along you are.

Hopefulmummie · 29/05/2020 18:56

@sachaf08 I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no pain just noticed it when I wipe. Would it be worth ringing gp to tell them?

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 19:02

@Hopefulmummie yes I would give them a ring and see what they say, worst case scenario they will ask you to wait a few days and monitor it until a scan would be able to pick things up.

sachaf08 · 29/05/2020 19:07

@Hopefulmummie also sorry meant to say, if you have bleeding and no pain they may well say that's nothing to worry about unless it gets worse, but there's still no harm in phoning them!

BabyG123 · 29/05/2020 20:14

@Hopefulmummie I hope you're ok. I know it's common but get checked if you're worried!
