Thanks Derah...I can't get enough of these kinds of stories. I just KNOW that home birth is the way forward for me.

I'm due March 9th, and am 17+2 today Lauren.

Don't get me started on bras- mine have hardly changed at all! Now, while this is nice for some things (like turning over in bed) it's just one more thing to worry about, as in "am I normal??". Like when you don't have ms and worry everything is ok, or bump isn't showing and get all panicky, etc...
Worry is a big issue this week. Anything can set me off. Please tell me I'm not the only one!!

Went back to gp this aft, and they hadn't done all my bloods!! So I have to go to the hospital tomorrow just to officially say that I'm O+, when I know it already!

Right, going to have tea and cake. That should right all the wrongs.

Prisci · 02/10/2007 23:20

Lottie 22, I am a bit like you, I don't have a bump, finally feeling fine i.e. not exausted yet...so I do forget sometime but then there are so many people to remind you, giving advice which simply don't make sense that I am quickly back to reality. I really can't wait for my bump to show ...and my breasts to grow properly, if they do. Only have gone one cup so far, and I was only a 32B before hand. I guess no one is ever happy either they are too big or still too small .

MarchMum · 03/10/2007 08:00

Loving the boob discussion, as have just been thinking about this. I was 34DD, now 34G at 18 weeks. Question for the second timers...how much more to expect? do they grow again/differently when you start nursing? will we eventually grow bigger around (34 to 36?) as well? I recently bought a cheap maternity nursing bra on mumstheword.com that I like [www.mumstheword.com/products-Carriwell-Seamless-Maternity-Bra_CRW017.htm here]

Anyone found a good aquanatal class in central/west London? I found 'Water Workout' at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre but it's for anybody.

VPs has no banquette but a back area which will be perfect - am hoping to snag it by going early and throwing a hormone fit. I will leave word at the entrance that people coming in asking for reservation under 'March' should be directed there. If our small bumps are no indication, perhaps our large boobs will be!

And Clapham Lauren, I get dizzy too. Dr says it's low blood pressure, common and not a ton to do except good basic suggestions [www.midwivesonline.com/parents/parents.php?ttl=faqans&faq=598 here]

MarchMum · 03/10/2007 08:02

am pants at adding links:

bra here

dizzy here

bealcain · 03/10/2007 08:04

sorry to crash. am not pregnant, wish i was. march mum just to say before ds1 i was a 32F, whilst pregnant went to 34H, bfing took me to 34J, then got pregnant again went to 34JJ, bfing still and am now having trouble finding a 34K. and i only feed on one side, so i'm all lopsided....lol

Brazilianmum · 03/10/2007 10:13

Did anyone watch bring up baby last night. Those group discussion between the 3 are funny, I feel sorry for Continuun lady as blondie seem to want to kill her and dismisses everything she says.

Boob wise I bought some maternity bras from M&S and they are still fine, but I had to get the biggest they do so soon will need to go to Bravissimo for a bigger size.

On knickers I put my sexy undies to the back of the drawer and am only wearing big Bridget Jones size cotton knickers, much to DP's despair. But I can't bear being uncomfortable.

MerlinsBeard · 03/10/2007 11:58

has anyone heard from angua in teh last few days?

derah · 03/10/2007 12:42

MoM - haven't heard from her for ages. Why? And how are you doing? Haven't seen
you much either.

I'm on a course at work today, how to develop myself within my pay band. All rather boring so far and isn't anything that they haven't covered in other courses I've been on. Still, it's 2 days out of the lab...

MerlinsBeard · 03/10/2007 12:44

she was going for a scan the other day and i can't find any recent post. bit worried on the mc/thread for her.

I am ok, have been offline and trying to catch up is proving HARD! am 16 weeks now and enjoying getting bigger

How are you? I am not even going to try and catch up with this thread!!

gingercat12 · 03/10/2007 12:58

Brazilianmum I watched 'Bringing up baby'. It was very interesting, but it seems to me they did not do a lot of filming, just keep repeating the same shots with different commentary. Also all three maternity experts seem to be scary zealots. Sorry. I am still watching them though, just find tunnel vision a bit hard. I am sure they are totally different in real life. This is just a TV programme.

glammama · 03/10/2007 13:36

I watched Bringing up Baby as well. I was amazed at 50's woman warning Grandma off even touching her grandbabies by making noises at her! I got a bit cross at a few parts. Felt terrible for the woman struggling to breastfeed. She just looked like she was not enjoying her experience of motherhood.
Marchmum,I have not heard anything from/about Angua either. Hope she's ok.
The back area in VP sounds great. Will they not reserve it for us? I could come earlier with you if you like(no child this weekend) I have a convincing baby belly although it is mainly displaced fat! I'm also very presuasive!
Talking of which, e14mum I did actually phone Wild cherry today and it is one of their random Banofee Pie days!!! DP has whizzed there on his motorbike right now. I am a very lucky woman. I hope everyone is having a good day!

e14mum · 03/10/2007 14:07

Hooray hooray Glammama!!

(Have to tell you... we don't have a tv... so I'm way out of the loop when it comes to programs y'all are watching!)

I'll try to be there early too, as will have to jet off to meet friends coming up for the night.

tori32 · 03/10/2007 15:22

Hi all! I've been grinning about the pregnant ladies lying in the VP listening to heartbeats and talking about nappies!

Since everyone is coming out my names Vicki and I'm an alcoholic, oops pregnant lady!

What a bggr, I forgot to watch Bringing Up Baby. Although last time my bp was up on the roof with the dreaded CV woman! Hopefully I can catch up later.

I missed the last couple of days, had a stomach bug. Better now. I went to see the MW as they couldn't hear the FHB last week, but it is all ok and I heard it today, yippee!!

PinkMartini · 03/10/2007 15:39

Angua started another thread - she was watching BUB last night too. I've taped it but not sure I'm up to it!!

glammama · 03/10/2007 15:40

Aaagh, someone tell me if I should start speaking to DP again. Why did he have to go and ruin a perfectly nice afternoon by saying "All women are irrational and you can't reason with them" And he meant it and said 99.9% of men would agree . I tried to tell him how offensive I found that but he wouldn't budge or apologise so I've stopped speaking to him. Not because of a power trip thing but because I'm upset (and rationally so!). He's gone to the library (I didn't want to go with him) and I'm not sure how to be when he gets back. Aaaaagh.

ClaphamLauren · 03/10/2007 15:48

Just be nice when he gets back. IMHO it's not a massively unfair comment (don't hate me too!!), most women are irrational from time to time, as are most men and I'm sure 99.9% of women would agree with that too!! We're all human at the end of the day

Give him a cuddle when he gets back, being mad at him isn't fun for either of you. He'll be thinking how lucky he is for having such a forgiving partner that'll he'll probably be delightful for the rest of the day!

Anyway, that's my two pence worth, I don't have the energy for arguing at the minute so that's why I'm attempting to solve everything with a cuddle hehe.

glammama · 03/10/2007 15:59

Yes CL, I guess I should forget it but I just think that if I said something that upset him I would say sorry! And he is waaaay more irrational at times than me. I just can't stand this "women are irrational, women like kittens, women are highly strung" rubbish. Women are strong, capable and much more rational than men at times. I think it is sexist rubbish. However, I will rise above it. But it will be hard.

merryberry · 03/10/2007 16:03

aw, glammama, rise above it knowing:

at least it's scientifically PROVEN that men are irrational

and the interesting point is what do they mean, we're irrational?

would like to point out however that i cried from hormones earlier in the week when my news that i had coped thru a sick+ blackout episode was met by iiritable 'you should have called me'. so i can do irrational!

ClaphamLauren · 03/10/2007 16:10

It is hard, my boyfriend is so irrational and annoying oh and sexist about driving in particular (why am I with him again?!!?) but I just have to remind myself that he is a completely different breed. Then I start feeling sorry for him that he is so simple and lacks the ability to understand emotions, why I am upset etc and all is forgiven. It's generally so much easier in the long run anyway! Especially as I think men are generally less bothered about arguements and so I would potentially sit there steaming about something that he has completely forgotten about. That makes me want to go crazy hormonal bitch on him!

I'm feeling the need for an afternoon pick me up of something chocolate flavoured

glammama · 03/10/2007 16:10

I love you MB
I agree, I'm quite capable of being extremely irrational but ah well......I've let it go

glammama · 03/10/2007 16:11

I love you too CL

ClaphamLauren · 03/10/2007 16:24

Right back at ya

I've been sitting at my desk secretly listening to the baby through my headphones today. Bloody dangerous bringing it into the office! Does anyone wanna take it off my hands for a few days?! I think it's taking over my life!

Has anyone done an MN profile page yet? Was thinking of sorting mine out, putting scan pics on etc. You can tell how thrilling I am finding my job right now!

Prisci · 03/10/2007 16:49

Shall we just all blame it on the hormones.... .

glammama · 03/10/2007 17:07

The hormones definintely play their part Prisci!
I did a profile page some time ago. I think I was bored.
I'm so looking forward to having a go on the Doppler but I have two unwelcome thoughts: 1) What if I can't hear the baby as I'm so well covered? and 2) How will I know it's that and not something wrong with baby?
Irrational, I know!!
