I'm also doing hypnobirthing classes later down the line. Figure if I don't have the option of an epidural (home birth) need to fully stock the arsenal just in case.

HQ my BF goes to the active birth centre yoga classes, she says it's very good. You can watch a few of the instructor's pregnancy yoga video clip here www.babychanneltv.com/ and click on the exercise menu and scroll through the different exercises.

I would love to do some yoga classes but unfortunately where I am, it doesn't seem that there's anyone who does it .

hello all, been a busy few days, drove 100miles to go to a kids bday party on saturday, the boys had a great time, and it was nice to see some friends again, they were like "where is your bump?" as i am still in regular jeans etc, and have lost weight. sure it will arrive soon enough.

my hormones have gone mad, i had to talk to ds1's teacher today, well make a complaint actually, and i ended up crying ffs i was more angry than upset but god i felt sucha prat, infact i am pretty close to tears full stop at the mo, the boys were fighting, dp is at work till late etc and i feel tired and hormonal, what fun.

my1stbaby · 24/09/2007 17:00

aww 3madboys sorry you're having a crap day. big hugs. we've been nattering here about baby's sex prediction and whether we want to find out sex or not . this might make you smile; picture a really hairy baby girl... that's what all the prediction says I'm having x

glammama · 24/09/2007 17:36

hello all, sounds like you're all having a good day, except you 3mb, sorry, have some {{{{{{hugs}}}}
All you and you gender tests! I did both things and both said I was having a girl, although I put in the dates for DD in the Chinese one and apparently DD should be a DS DP thinks this one's a girl, I'd like to know but he wants to wait. I have until 31st October to persuade him. Trying not to read too much into the fact that anomaly scan is on Halloween.
I have been a bit of a numpty re the meet up dates There I was, saying I couldn't do those dates everyone else could and going off and setting another and it turns out my brain is made of porridge. So now I'm a bit stuck, don't know what to do. I'll post on the other thread perhaps....
Went to see Run Fat Boy Run yesterday. At one point I was nearly hyperventilating. I recommend it, especially to you 3mb, sounds like you need a laugh at the mo.

PurlyQueen · 24/09/2007 18:06

I really don't mind what sex my baby is. Getting pregnant was such a fluke that I don't dare ask the gods for a boy/girl.
That said, I think I'm carrying a boy as my morning sickness wasn't too bad.
Guess who's going to fall off the delivery table when she's handed a girl?

3madboys · 24/09/2007 18:16

ditto purly, having had two miscarriages in the past i am just grateful that this baby is still growing and seems healthy, really dont care what sex it is, but i am very tempted to find out at the scan. we kept it a suprise the last three times, but i may find out this time my scan is the 12th oct, so not long to wait

thanks for the hugs guys, i think it was just one of those days, and unfortunately i needed to raise a few issues with ds1's teacher, not a good idea when feeling tired and hormonal

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 18:31

Can I just add on behalf of everybody that we all are just hoping for healthy babies, will be pleased no matter what, but we all know that if we were able to choose between healthy boy or girl that we would sway one way or another. x

I don't want to know if LO is a boy a girl - in case they make a mistake!
Does anyone know how many weeks = four months pregnant? My non pg friends don't understand the weeks!
Just been looking at moses baskets - wondering at what age the baby will become to big. The baskets look as though they have lids, do these come off? (v ignorant first timer )

piggyp · 24/09/2007 18:47

oops too not to!

glammama · 24/09/2007 19:10

Piggyp, moses baskets have lids? So you can shut them in? I am wondering where you saw these baskets with lids, are you sure they're not picnic baskets?

glammama · 24/09/2007 19:13

I'm waiting for Dd to return from Brownies, at 7 she can get the bus by herself I think.
Did I get you then? Obviously she is coming home in the care of a mature and responsible adult. I don't think they'll let her go back as she is 7 but my neighbour who is doing the school run tonight took her with her own 8yr old daughter. DD is going to be exhausted, it's a Monday, she had swimming, a day of lessons, after school club and Brownies. Poor thing.

3madboys · 24/09/2007 19:21

a moses basket with a lid? lol, we never bothered with a moses basket as the pushchairs we had for eachbaby had a carrycot bit that we used. we were lent one for ds1, by the time he was 8 wks he was too big for it, but i have large babies, all 9lb+ so it will depend on your baby, but if you are getting a pushchair with a carrycot then i wouldnt bother.

also i have to say that there is no way i could choose the sex of a baby i was having and i wouldnt want to, unless for xample i had a medical condition that could be passed onto a certain sex baby etc? even then i think i would find it hard. i really have NO preference at all either way.

piggyp · 24/09/2007 19:30

Maybe lid was the wrong word to use!! What I meant was that there seems to be a stiffish looking material bit over the bottom half of the basket! I think I need to look at real ones not just on the internet!

spugs · 24/09/2007 19:47

im finding out what im having (hopefully) on the sasme day as you turtle

i found out with dd1 and didnt with dd2 it was lovely having a suprise and getting to tell people but i couldnt stand the waiting. so hopefully will find out and then not tell anyone in RL what it is

skidoodle · 24/09/2007 20:01

hey hey,

i can barely keep up with this thread. just checking in really.

I would definitely find out the sex but my hospital won't tell me, as I was telling you all before. I don't really mind though. I'm kind of hoping for a girl, but I sort of feel like it's a boy iyswim.

turtle, as soon as you said you had a special name for Easter I knew the name(s) you had chosen. Catholic education finally pays off - yesssss! I especially like Pascale for a girl. I don't think I've ever met a women with that name, it's lovely.

I thought I might be the only looper thinking of names already, but I'm kind of obsessed by names [I guess the way some of you appear to be obsessed with nappies and prams ;)]. I've been pestering my DH to think of names he likes and he keeps just suggesting ones I already suggested a while ago. he's not very good at such matters. He has nixed one of my favourite boys' names as he thinks to an English person it sounds like a girls' name. grrr. Oh well.

I exhausted myself on Saturday as I was home for the weekend and was runnning about trying to see friends and stuff. By Saturday evening I felt sick from too much rushing about and too little food. I'm just so excited to have my energy back. Need to remember not to overdo it.

I visited friends who just had a baby girl. I was holding her for ages. She was just 3 days old - so new. It's so hard to imagine I'll have one of my own in six months or so. Less!

modsaluk · 24/09/2007 20:09

Advice please,

I am 13 + 3 and carrying twins, i have just been to the toilet and noticed there is a little blood only when i wiped it has not gone on my pants. I am little worried well very worried as i fell down the stairs with DS this morning only on my bum and elbow though.

I have called our local womens and childrens hospital and they said it should be ok but if there is anymore blood i should either call my GP or pop to A & E.

I am a really scared as when i found out i was having twins with the shock of it all i said to my husband i only wanted one baby, what if this is someones way of punishing me for thinking that way ?

Really scared please help !
