oh i have to find out- i'm one of those people who rummages under the christmas tree to guess what the presents are (dh hates it!!)

I would love another girl but equaly a boy would be nice, we have names already, Amelia Carys for a girl and Issac Noah for a boy.

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 14:08

Lauren-that is exactly what I have been saying. I do not know now, so how can it not be a surprise when I find out?!
Is it chocolate? No, but at this rate it may well be Cheddars!!!
I'll give you a clue(if you all promise not to make fun of the name as my mother does.)

HolidaysQueen · 24/09/2007 14:13

clue please, turtle! i love solving puzzles

e14mum · 24/09/2007 14:15

Scan on Oct 29th... tempted also, but not sure!
Preggers, aren't you having twins? Is that first and middle names, or names for the twins?

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 14:16

My1st--babies ears are nearly there by 15 weeks and by 19 weeks are hearing fine according to what I've read? I have started playing my chosen "it's bedtime" music already and talk to my bump. Well, I've always talked to myself a bit!! (Comes from years of having babies and toddlers...all of you will soon be narrating your day. Sometimes you will even forget that the people around you aren't small children. Honest. Just wait!)

HQ- The name sounds the same for a boy or girl, but is spelled slightly differently. Also means "born on Easter."

OP posts:
preggersagain · 24/09/2007 14:18

no, boys names and girls names- we know they are identical so no chance of a boy and a girl- sometimes slip into forgetting about having the two of them!

I could cope with 3 girls and 2 boys but 4 boys and 1 girl would cause absolute mayhem in the future!! hence i would love girls!!

timmyinatizzy · 24/09/2007 14:22

I got a girl on the Chinese Predictor thingy too. Is it a conspiracy? Or is it that we are all the same age and concieved in the same month?

HolidaysQueen · 24/09/2007 14:24

turtle - does it begin with a P?

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 14:28

HQ- well, that wasn't much of a guessing game, was it?! Yes. If my little one is an Easter chick it will be Pascal or Pascale. If not, it will be Katherine or Tristan.

OP posts:
onemore · 24/09/2007 14:30

turtle - you have to give more of a clue than that?! I have no idea..and it's going to bug me!!

I would like to find out this (last) time, but cause we didn't with the last 4 dh says it would be odd to with this one?

But he has just said 'well..maybe..' so hopefully I can persuade him in the next 7 wks!

onemore · 24/09/2007 14:30

xpost - I wouldn't have got that in a million years!

HolidaysQueen · 24/09/2007 14:36

onemore - i googled "baby name born on easter" - wouldn't have guessed otherwise!

Turtle - i really really like Katherine (Kathy for short) but DH has cousin with taht name so would be exact same name and SIL is Kate so too many people too similar for us!

MarchMum · 24/09/2007 14:48

Chinese says I am with girl! BUT, I plugged in 5 random dates and they all say girl, definate conspiracy.

Our pg was a surprise so we're done with that and are finding out (if baby shows) at 20 wk on Oct 18. Can't wait. My birthday present is shopping trip to Paris so has been strategically placed week after that.

Want a boy (I know...I know... I really should say I want a healthy baby) so I only listen to wives tales that confirm I having a boy :.) check out this quiz

Am curious what your dh's say/want? Mine is being non committal and gets cross if I say what I want or call it a he!!

Finally showing this weekend - so thrilled!

PS People with names picked out, well done, haven't even started...

frannieinthecity · 24/09/2007 14:50

hey all :-) things feel like they are starting to happen now. I have booked my first pregnancy yoga class (they recommend you start around 14 weeks, anyone else a yogini?) and am mtg my midwife (who sounded scary on the phone!) on Friday.

Despite being determined not to get 'pregnancy brain' and to retain some intelligence throughout this period, I have spent the whole of today (off work with a cold) mooning about, daydreaming of names and wondering if it's a boy or a girl. I'm def going to find out - impossible not to!

MarchMum · 24/09/2007 14:50

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 14:52

When we got pregnant DH wanted a boy. Have watched him going all gooey over newborn girl of a friend of ours, and he now says he'd just like a baby.
That quiz says I'm having a girl too...except I couldn't answer the first question really as I'm not carrying high or low yet!

frannieinthecity · 24/09/2007 14:52

pascal/pascale is a lovely name turtle :-)

AnguaVonUberwald · 24/09/2007 14:55

I would like to know what sex the baby is, not big on surprises, but DH really doesn't want to know, and I can understand why, so this feels like something I can give him.

Plus think we would end up telling everybody - no way I could keep that a secret.

turtle23 · 24/09/2007 14:56

Thanks frannie! I'm doing pg yoga and LOVE it. Although (hope it never happens to me) there are some girls in the class who fall asleep at the end (they're 35+ weks) and snore so loudly it puts me off the relaxation bit. It is good though. Have a great relaxation'pregnancy visualisation CD that I got free with it if anybody would like a copy.

i'm thinking of doing yoga or pilates but have also found an antenatal class (and a postnatal class for afterwards!) run by an Active Birth Centre teacher which I quite like the sound of - anyone had any experience of that?

frannieinthecity · 24/09/2007 15:16

activebirth are supposed to be very good from what I've heard. I'm going to be doing yoga at the sitaram partnership who run classes at Kings Hosp and St Thomas' - looks good - will be going to the soho NHS centre one.
