Huge congratulations to @facevalue & @Lu1u

Best wishes to @sao81

xx

MarshmallowsOnToast · 13/05/2020 07:54

@Helensss

I'm due a sweep tomorrow so would love to hear how you get on if you wouldn't mind updating us?

Good luck with it!

Helensss · 13/05/2020 08:20

@MarshmallowsOnToast yes I will do xx

november90 · 13/05/2020 08:41

@sao81 sending lots of luck and wishes to you today! I can't wait to hear your update :)

@Lu1u not much going on over here I'm afraid. I've tried all the old wives tales, I have no more floors left to scrub 🙈 I went into DAU on Monday and they commented the baby had a high head. My midwife then cancelled my app yesterday and a co ain't ant rang me instead who said she'd like to examine me as she's concerned about how high the baby's head is. She was extremely negative about an induction, but said that I can have on on Saturday due to previous baby size. Feeling a bit disheartened, I just wanted everything to happen naturally but hey ho!
I've woke up again with another wet patch on my pjs 🙈 I feel absolutely fine though so I'll just see what today brings!

Hope everyone is feeling well :)

Bumpingalong84 · 13/05/2020 09:02

Morning ladies.

Good luck today @sao81 hope all goes well.

Ahh all this waiting is torture in ways. It’s mad Cos I know once baby is here all will be forgotten.
I’m 39wks today a whole 2.5wks more pregnant than I was with my first. Feels weird! I slept the best I’ve done in a while last night. Another day in lockdown with a 4yr old and waiting to go into labour 🤪

AppropriateAdult · 13/05/2020 10:11

Little boy arrived this morning after a very short and intense labour - all 10lb of him. Got an epidural but it was too late really and it never kicked in, but I got to experience the full intensity of delivery and it was amazing. Feeling great now.

Emmacb82 · 13/05/2020 10:14

Congratulations @facevalue @Lu1u and @AppropriateAdult! Enjoy all the newborn snuggles 🥰

Good luck today @sao81

Naughtysausage · 13/05/2020 10:17

Wow congratulations @AppropriateAdult !

Hope you're getting a chance to wrap your head round it all! How do you feel?

And congratulations @Lu1u and @facevalue!

So many lovely babies!
Have you all named your babies already?

I am still firmly in the keep baby inside as long as possible camp. I'm 38+6 but I'm telling myself I've got another 2 weeks at least! I just want more time!

Lady7978 · 13/05/2020 12:26

Congratulations @AppropriateAdult @facevalue Flowers Flowers
Hope you'll both be home as soon as possible.

Lady7978 · 13/05/2020 12:33

@Moongirl10 When's your due date? I think we have the same as I'm 37+5 now which I think you are too.
How are you getting on? Smile

november90 · 13/05/2020 12:39

@AppropriateAdult congratulations on your lovely boy ❤️ I'm so glad everything went well :) how are you both doing now?

So I need plug advise!!! Sorry if this is a bit grim.

I've felt a few trickles on water from down below all day, but very similar to Monday when I went into DAU so I didn't think much of it. I just went to the toilet and whipped and there was a small amount of discharge. It wasn't a big clump but it was a bit jelly like and ORANGE!!!! It's was too small of an amount to look like plug I've lost before and was across the tissue. My tummy and lower back is a bit soar but not contraction soar, more constant. Not sure what to dooo..........

Raindancer411 · 13/05/2020 13:05

Well after going in for lack of movement last night, the hospital have called me this morning to ask how they were today. They have decided to call me in for a scan later.

May2311 · 13/05/2020 14:24

@november90 I would probably give the Midwives a ring again. It sounds similar to me- I went to the toilet at 9am and had a bloody discharge which was very watery and then things progressed fairly quickly but waters were never a gush they just continued to trickle. Pop a pad on as they may be able to check that way as that's what they told me to do.

Congratulations to all those that babies have come over the last couple of days! I do keep checking up on you all but it's hard to keep up with a newborn 😂🥰 xxxx

Moongirl10 · 13/05/2020 14:31

@Lady7978 my due date is May 27th, what about you? Smile I woke up in the middle of the night and felt SO nauseous. I finally managed to get back to sleep though. Haven’t had any other symptoms really yet!

Congrats ladies on your lovely newborns!

Lady7978 · 13/05/2020 14:41

@moongirl10 mine is 29th. It was the 27th, but got moved.
Yes, the nausea is constant and can be horrific as also the back and waist pains. I'm also waking up almost every half an hour to an hour to pee.

I haven't had any other symptoms either, so the waiting game continues [laugh]

Sunshine8888 · 13/05/2020 14:42

I am still checking in too when I can! Congrats to all the new babies and look forward to the arrival of many more soon x

May2311 · 13/05/2020 14:47

@Sunshine8888 aw she is absolutely adorable! Is she doing well- she looks it! How old is she now? Xxx

Helensss · 13/05/2020 15:40

@MarshmallowsOnToast I had my sweep and it was really positive! She said it’s really stretchy and already 2cm, head super low and waters bulging so could really be any day now! I didn’t find it uncomfortable either, she was really professional about it xx

MarshmallowsOnToast · 13/05/2020 17:01

@Helensss

Thanks for the update, glad to hear it went well & there are some good signs 🤞

Feeling more positive about mine tomorrow now

Raindancer411 · 13/05/2020 17:50

Had my scan and all seems ok, but they have now gone from saying I am having a small baby to a latter baby!! At 39+1 she is estimated at 8lb 2 already!!!

Not sure how accurate the estimates are...

woollycat · 13/05/2020 18:10

@Sunshine8888 she is so cute 😍 how are you getting on? She is over a month now, isn't she? Are you feeling like you are getting the hang of things?

I am 39w tomorrow, got no symptoms really. There really isn't much space in my tummy - as soon as I eat a little more than normal, everything gets really stretched and uncomfortable.

GinUnicorn · 13/05/2020 18:10

Hi all.

My little girl surprised me by arriving very fast this morning and turning out to be a boy!

Knackered and hoping to go home soon

woollycat · 13/05/2020 18:17

@GinUnicorn wow big congratulations! I think we were both due May 21st so I am hopeful now :) was it the 20 week scan that told you it was a girl? How are you doing?

helpasisterout · 13/05/2020 19:05

@AppropriateAdult @GinUnicorn congrats to you both lovely news keeping me going at 39w today! Xx

Donnacha11 · 13/05/2020 20:09

Hi everyone, congratulations on all the new babies!

So sorry for the late response after my first message but thank you so much for all the replies. But just a quick update little Harry James was born May 6th at 9:13 weighing 6lbs 12ozs. I was told to be at the hospital for 8 and then they said I was first to theatre for that day so didn't really get time to think about! But I just want to reassure anyone who is giving birth by themselves at the moment it is fine, all the nurses and midwives were absolutely brilliant and so lovely. Then all the other women in the ward with me were in the same position not being allowed visitors/partners, the nurses couldn't have done more for us they were absolutely great and so helpful! It was actually nice and peaceful just having the time with myself and Harry. I was lucky I had him via planned section on Wednesday morning and we were let out of hospital Friday lunchtime.
I know the thought is so scary and worrying giving birth by yourself for anyone doing it but I want to reassure people it's actually ok when you are there! Very best of luck to all the rest of the May babies I hope everything goes great for everyone x
