I can feel my braxton coming on, a gradual tightening then goes rock hard for about 30seconds then relaxes. When I was hooked up to the CTG you couple see them coming up on the contraction line, so interesting. Right now I just want them to ramp up to the real thing.

My husband thinks I’m weird because I’m excited to go into labour 🤣 he was like but it’s gonna hurt. I’m like yeah I know but we get to meet our gorgeous baby at the end of it and I’m getting impatient now.

After a shock at 36+3 with my first, have a feeling this one is gonna keep me waiting and I’ll end up with a sweep!

I have a feeling lockdown won’t be lifted this weekend! Anyone else??

helpasisterout · 07/05/2020 20:54

Are BH quite obvious? I've got a stomach ache tonight and top of bump feels quite hard and I feel a bit sick but to be honest all of the above could be due to the amount of crap I have crammed in my mouth today 🤣

sao81 · 07/05/2020 20:59

@Bumpingalong84 they say more babies are born around a full moon, and its a full moon tonight 😂😂 so you never know!
@helpasisterout i didnt have them at all with my first baby! For me they feel abit like period cramps, mainly uncomfortable but not super painful

Bumpingalong84 · 07/05/2020 21:01

Haha @helpasisterout that made me chuckle. Yeah personally I know they are coming on, as it’s exactly like a contraction in a way but doesn’t hurt as such just uncomfortable tightening. I’ve had friends who’ve never had them it’s weird because I’ve had them with both my pregnancies and this time they started earlier at about 26wks I started feeling them.

How far along are you??

I’m willing to have signs, but like someone posted earlier in the thread it’s like the tww 🙈 you are just waiting and analysing everything. Difference is the baby is a sure thing so all worth the agony. I’m only 38+1 so I really need to calm down 😂

facevalue · 07/05/2020 21:31

@helpasisterout i've had a similar day - woke up feeling ok ish then not sure what happened with period pain sickness and uncomfortable bump. i was convinced i'd be going in to be checked. but had to persevere because our new cooker arrived and the guy was coming to install it that afternoon. so took the meds and had a nap- dont about everyone else with a toddler i'm literally struggling to give any childcare and i keep bossing my husband about what he should do with her and how it needs to be done- i'm driving him nuts!

we set up the next to me cot- moved the TV from the storage into the bedroom ( for the sleepless breastfeeding nights) - preparing for the tough times a head!

facevalue · 08/05/2020 00:47

who can't sleep? i was asleep and woke up with my heart racing but it's still only 90 beats per minute so i guess it's ok unless goes higher.
i feel like i'm running but i'm in bed !

my mistake is eating dinner then slide of chocolate. after!

Moongirl10 · 08/05/2020 02:24

Hope you manage to get back to sleep @facevalue! I’m 5 hours behind so I’m around.
37 weeks today, had some light cramping this morning when I woke up but nothing else so far. Just feeling quite uncomfortable!

helpasisterout · 08/05/2020 04:00

@sao81 @Bumpingalong84 @facevalue thanks guys think I was maybe just getting one woke up with intermittent stomach tightenings with cramps as you say not sore just uncomfortable! I'm 38+2 today. Now to try and get back to sleep so I don't do my usual crash out at 3pm 😴

Raindancer411 · 08/05/2020 04:08

I am awake and now I am back in bed, I can feel a period like pain. Trying to sleep...

woollycat · 08/05/2020 05:44

I have bee getting BH from very early on in the pregnancy - before 20w I think. The bump becomes rock solid for a short time then eases off, no pain. I usually get it when I am walking or active. I have been getting them less and less actually - or maybe I have gotten used to them, not sure!

GinUnicorn · 08/05/2020 08:22

Worst night sleep! Back ache and insomnia. I’m so tired and uncomfortable

MarshmallowsOnToast · 08/05/2020 08:30

@ginunicorn

Sorry to hear that Sad

Clairesoph · 08/05/2020 08:53

I love these symptom spotting chats, It's so strange for me to want to avoid it all haha! Now that the section is booked I just keep looking at the calendar incase I miss counted and the dates actually closer 🤣🤣

Can I ask- has anyone been to Tesco? Sounds ridiculous but I have literally gone NOWHERE for 8 weeks, I've been mega strict and careful and tried not to get Ill but now they have 50% off clothing and I am ITCHING to go. I also wanna get some birth bag snacks and despo for rennies so not a totally non-essential trip but I can't help but feel like I'm an idiot to go two weeks before baby arrives when I've stayed so safe this far. Feel like I'm gonna jinx myself and get the virus 🥴

woollycat · 08/05/2020 08:57

@Clairesoph whereabouts are you? I haven't been to Tesco but have been to Waitrose in London a few weeks ago and it wasn't too bad - they only let a fixed number of people in so it's never too busy inside. That does mean queuing outside though and some people stand closer to each other than others. I have heard from friends though that Tesco is actually doing better - they have a one way system inside and more strict distancing rules. Good luck!

Clairesoph · 08/05/2020 09:04

@woollycat in a relatively sleepy town in Cambridgeshire, although it is a big Tesco but their clothing section is upstairs on a seperate floor so I wouldn't even need to go into the main supermarket, I can even pay upstairs too. I'm wondering about going the hour before it closes to avoid as many people as poss. Oh I don't know, why don't they have a website 😭

Lu1u · 08/05/2020 09:21

@AppropriateAdult I am getting very bored waiting now! Lovely ages, are they excited for their new sibling? I have a 20 month old boy, so he is going to have a surprise when his brother arrives eventually 😂 I don't think he is going to be very impressed but hey ho!

Raindancer411 · 08/05/2020 09:31

@Clairesoph Our Tesco has no baby clothes in at all!! They had all sold out.

@GinUnicorn That is how my labour started the night before, but to add to the backache and insomnia, I was on and off the loo too

GinUnicorn · 08/05/2020 09:31

@MarshmallowsOnToast thanks! I’m getting so fed up! Not long now though

november90 · 08/05/2020 11:02

@Clairesoph most supermarkets are only letting a few people in at a time so you should be fine :) I do my food shop at Asda every Friday morning and it's quite easy to keep a distance from others. I don't really have a choice, I have nobody to go for me so I suppose it's a little different but I always take my dettol whips and clean my trolley and hands etc. Asda was so quiet this morning! Everyone must be staying at home for the bank holiday.

I dreamt I had my baby last night and I had to deliver him myself 😂 i woke up in a hot sweat! I hope that doesn't bloomin happen hahah! Few little uncomfortable pains low down today but nothing to get excited over... I'm probably imagining them 😂

Lady7978 · 08/05/2020 11:03

@Clairesoph you could go first thing in the morning or as late as possible as you've said. I reckon either of those times will give you the possibility of less contact with others.

I would be a bit nervous too going out 2 weeks before after not been out in such a long time.

Good luck and let's know how you get on if you do go out.x

May2311 · 08/05/2020 11:20

Morning all,

Still keep checking in on you all to see how your getting on. Ada is 5 days old today I can’t believe it!! She is doing really well and we are at the midwife later for the heel prick and checks.

Those of you that had period like pains that how mine started- I had it for a few days and then woke up on Sunday with show& waters going so hopefully it won’t be too long for you all.

Take care and I’ll keep popping in! Xx

@May2311

Aww she's gorgeous.

Good luck later with heel prick & checks.

helpasisterout · 08/05/2020 14:48

@May2311 she is super cute hope appointment goes well!

helpasisterout · 08/05/2020 14:49

Had my 38w appointment today and measuring a bit behind at 36 weeks but MW not concerned. I'm 99.9% certain of dates so hope it doesn't mean baby is going to be too late I'm so impatient! Otherwise all good!

Holdonitllgetrough · 08/05/2020 15:13

Hey everyone, hope you don’t mind me jumping on this post?
I’m due on the 26th but booked for induction on the 21st (which I’m not keen on) so trying everything to get it going naturally.
Feeling impatient and fed up now.
