@november90 i love being pregnant and i enjoyed every minute until this bloody covid shit freaked me out. now i just think i want my baby out into this world alive and i'm hoping that means a better chance.

my appointment was ok. my midwife is lovely but she didn't reassure me- she couldn't .. she kept saying 1000s of ppl are dying from corona so u can't have visitors it's dangerous bla bla bla ... freaked me out even more. i ended up feeling sorry for her x

told baby's head is very low ( engaged) and listened to the heartbeat ( lovely) talked about my section and how i'm feeling about things.

it's our 4th ( i think) wedding anniversary in few days and i don't even care.. we got flowers and bottles and cards ( didn't make me even smile) - i absolutely don't care. i just want a pause button on life 😂😂😂

@CharlieB93 I felt completely normal until I saw the plug, now I’m really waiting for it it’s annoying me! I’ve heard it can take days/ weeks from seeing it. Walking 3 Miles a day is great! I started bouncing on my ball tonight although god knows if it’ll help xx

@facevalue oh bless you. When I really think about the virus I totally freak out and worry myself silly so I'm just doing my best to stay in my own little bubble. It's hard when my ex is a key worker and lives with another key worker and he'll be wanting access to the baby.... but for the time being I'm just trying to focus on today because I don't know what tomorrow will look like 😬 I'm anxious about going into hospital, but I've heard wonderful things from other local new Mums about the maternity ward so I'm just gonna try and think about that! I really am such a worrier deep down and I always have been, but I'm just trying to navigate my thoughts to what is in my control. Much easier said then done, but I'm trying my best!

@Lu1u hahaha hilarious. When my son wakes up at like 6/7am he comes into my bed and I get him a Little Maryland cookie as a way of bribing him to settle in my room for a while with the iPad... whilst I'm there I also get myself a full chocolate bar... sometimes more, followed by lots more during the day 🙈 I literally can't stop myself! It's not even a pregnancy thing, I just love chocolate 😂

@CharlieB93 if I'm being honest with myself I'm not having signs at all... it's like symptom spotting when ttc in the 2 week window all over again 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@Helensss did you ‘feel’ it come out? Or was it a complete surprise? Ahhh it’s so frustrating isn’t it!
@november90 tell me about it... probably TMI but the other night I woke up with stomach ache (really bad) I was so excited, woke partner up etc, turned out it was trapped wind... gave him something to laugh about if nothing else 😂

@november90 Tagged in what sorry? Bit confused! If you mean about waiting a few days I’m happy with that, just don’t like the sound of weeks which I’ve heard elsewhere🙏🤞🏻 Xx

@CharlieB93 no I wiped yesterday morning and there was a glob on the tissue tinged with blood, and then another big lump today on the tissue like snot🤮 it was definitely a surprise, I wasn’t expecting anything till after 40 weeks based on 1st baby stats! X

@helensss ohhh that was my next question! It’s quite unusual for first time mums to go into labour before the due date isn’t it? It sounds like you probably will though ! Every time I go to the toilet I expect something to be there then I’m disappointed 😂

@charlieB93 yeah I thought so! Saying that my due date is a week today so it may still be after that although it really got my hopes up seeing that plug,
Cramps disappeared tonight so looks like I might be teased for a while yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ Xx

My god this baby is a little wriggler tonight! Throwing some crazy shapes, it's just so lovely... I will really miss it! 😍

@Bumpingalong84 did a little whoop when I read baby's moved. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly from here...

@CharlieB93 I'm slightly jealous too, but I'm a few weeks behind so still a little way to go.

@Helensss with my first, I lost my mucous plug in the afternoon, and had my baby by 6am the next day! This time round, I didn't see any mucous at all as my waters just went (and I had my baby 4 hours later).

@Lady7978 aww thank you! I am absolutely over the moon. I know it sounds silly to have your heart set on a month but I really wanted a little May baby ❤️

My DD arrived this evening just before 8pm weighing a healthy 8lb 1oz. I'd had pains on and off since 11 the previous night but a check at 2 pm yesterday showed only 2cm. They did a sweep and boy did the contractions ramp up. Back in hospital at 6pm, 5cm, straight time delivery suite, baby had pooed so on constant monitor and in bed, delivered with about 3 or 4 pushes at 7:50 using gas and air ( and nothing for pushing stage). I gave birth on all 4s very unladylike but so much better than on my back. I have a small 2nd degree tear so have some stitches and because of little lady and meconium we have to stay in for obs for 24 hrs ( she needed and ecg anyway). Feeling happy and exhausted - plus she arrived on my birthday so lovely to share that with her forever more!
