Just starting a new one so we don't get lost again 😅

I never managed to get the hang of swaddling with a cloth so ones with a zip were much easier! I plan on asking for a lesson from the midwives at the hospital this time

I was hoping to swaddle too, if the baby likes it of course - I might see if I can bone up with a few YouTube videos.

@looseygoosey I've already been feeling anxious about it for the last week 🙈 just got to try and remember that it's irrational, there's nothing to indicate that anything is wrong it's just my brain!

Yeah, I know what you mean @MooseWL. I wouldn't say anxious as such but definitely thinking about it and worrying a bit... I wish DP could come with me and haven't actually heard otherwise but I'm assuming I'll have to at least go in alone. Like you, there's no reason to think there'll be any issues but I'm also not sure I've felt any movement yet. Have you?

@MooseWL @LooseyGoosey I also have my scan a week today. The time has been dragging so much I just want to get it out of the way! But at the same time I am nervous about it. I have no bump still. I’ve felt odd twinges in the baby region but nothing I could definitively say was baby moving - I think more likely muscle aches and pains?
Here they have banned partners for all appointments so mine will be waiting in the car. No video calls allowed but in consolation they are giving us free photos.

I’ve got my 20 week scan tomorrow, feeling excited and nervous sat the same time! Going to be strange going on my own!

@looseygoosey @pangolin84 I'm the same as you both, felt a few twinges but nothing that I could definitely say was baby! I don't think it's unusual especially as a first timer. My friend last year said she didn't feel a thing until 24 weeks. But I think i will definitely feel more reassured when I can feel movement!
I haven't heard anything different about partners so assuming I'll have to go alone. Hoping the sonographer will write down the sex in a envelope so we can find out together

I’ve got my scan tomorrow morning. We’ve been told no one else can go so i’ll be going alone. I’m probably about 70% excited, 30% nervous... hoping nothing is wrong and looking forward to finding out the sex and then telling DH. We need to go do a shop afterwards so i’m going to get a babygrow of some form when we go shopping which will give away the sex and the present it to him 😃

Re scans. I got a call a few days before mine to confirm it and tell me what to do. They mentioned then I have to attend alone.

Re swaddling, it's great but I'm thinking of getting a suit like that as it can be a faff sometimes!!

Just had my whooping cough jab. Felt like a day out 😆

Thank you all for the good luck wishes, my little Prince is doing great, they were able to get a good luck at everything despite his yoga posing and everything's great. It was very odd and nerve wracking going in alone but I was so focused on baby that it didn't bother me after a minute or two. I was allowed to take a video for OH and got 10 photos which was amazing.
Placenta is lying quite low so I've to go back for another scan later on, buts it's no big deal, apparently most of the time it resolves without a problem.

@Sulkypatsy I have to go back at 32 weeks for another scan due to placenta positioning. Apparently it's quite common 🤷🏼‍♀️

@ChipsAreLife too funny! Hope the vaccination went ok. I'm getting mine at 23/24 weeks.

Swaddling looks cosy! It's just knowing how to do it right! I like the idea of the zipped up design too, at least it won't unravel during sleep and get tangled up. The arms moving as well seem good!!

Been lurking for ages but thought I'd say hello! First baby, I'm 22+3 and due on 5th September Feels a bit late to join but everyone seems so supportive and as the first one of my close friends to be pregnant they're not overly interested as it's not on their radar! So would be nice to have people to talk to. I've been feeling light movement since my 20 week scan, but have an anterior placenta so it's sporadic! We don't know the gender as keeping it a surprise. Gone a bit mad buying unisex bits since the 20 week scan, especially second hand clothes bundles on eBay... eBay has well and truly become an addiction during lockdown! Whoops. Really enjoying reading everyone's posts x

I’ve got so many boys clothes here so if this baby is confirmed to be a girl, you can all fight over them! 😂

Thankfully my brother has had one of each so we have plenty of hand me downs either way! Phew! Xx

@Lilice I love next stuff for babies as well! Think I’ve bought pretty much everything they sell in gender neutral colours. Had a voucher for Christmas and then got carried away spending it 🙈
