@Lazydaisydaydream I'm so sorry to hear you are going through all this worry. Your consultant seems to be on the ball and it is good you are getting all these tests done. Hopefully results come back quicker than a few weeks. I had harmony and had the results within 1week. Thinking of you and I really hope you are ok. Sending a hug 🤗 x

sianyflewog · 02/05/2020 06:47

@Lazydaisydaydream Sorry to hear this. Here to listen whenever you need someone to talk to xx

ChipsAreLife · 02/05/2020 07:29

@lazydaisydream I'm so sorry for you. What a big shock that must have been after being told everything was ok. Hopefully as the consultant said it's a slim chance and baby is ok. I hope the tests don't take too long to come back. You must be going though so many different scenarios in your head. Please keep talking x

@Lazydaisydaydream i hope you're ok, sending you virtual hugs and praying everything will be ok xx

Sara7455 · 02/05/2020 09:55

@Lazydaisydaydream sending virtual hugs and thinking of you. Hope all turns out to be fine when you get your test results back - definitely sounds like the consultant is on top of everything so that must be a comfort.

LatteLover12 · 02/05/2020 16:56

Hi everyone ,
I hope everything is ok with everyone. 🌹 I know some of us have been so stressed lately. I am very stressed and I feel like I am getting more tired every day. Sometimes i think we r so unlucky with this corona virus outbreak... but maybe everything happens for a reason. But I still feel compromised with everything. I don't know if you know what I mean. Like I can't go shopping and everything is out of stock online. :(
I'm sorry for being so negative .. but need to air with you guys... ❤️🙏

Roxy8203 · 02/05/2020 20:06

@ShiningStarz yeah I ordered the rainbow dungarees. Just thought I'd share.

@Sunshinexx95 I understand. All I'm thinking is we still have all summer to get things so it's not a mad rush fortunately. I also found a preloved site today and got some lovely bits so maybe worth trying different places for clothes. The site I used was sweetpea preloved clothes, if you want to have a look.
I've also managed to get some bits on TU at sainsburys. I'm hoping things relax so we can go shopping and get the pram etc as online shopping just isn't the same.

emma278 · 02/05/2020 20:32

Ive just managed to get some plain white vests in newborn on mamas and papas xx

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 06:39

@Sunshinexx95 yep feeling similar here! Although I think it was meant to be for me! My life is normally hectic with little downtime. I fine myself now being more relaxed, less stressed. I'm looking forward to getting back to the 'norm' but I'm happy for that to be once little one arrives safe and sound 😊

@emma278 there was a morning about 2 weeks ago that mamas and papas had almost everything in newborn and 0-3! I'm checking everyday and once that happens I plan fo order 3 sets of sleep suits and vests in white along with some other bits!! 🤞

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 06:41

Do you think sleeveless under a sleep suit is ok for newborn and 0-3 in UK? Thinking it'll be sept-nov.. ish
Maybe need long sleeve from Dec-Mar (3-6)?

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 07:38

Just got some white short sleeve vests and sleepsuits in the 1st months size and 0-3, couple things 3-6!! Couldn't get on their site for ages. Seems small sizes are back in stock. Will have to write down what all
I'v ordered lol!! Would it be right that up to 1 months should last up to 6 ish weeks?

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 07:39

Next BTW!

emma278 · 03/05/2020 07:49

Thanks @ShiningStarz ive just ordered some too. Ive not got a good few packs of vests in newborn/first size/up to 1 mnth mix of short and long sleeves.

Some nuetral babygrows in newborn/first size.

Its hard to know how much is enough/too much

Xx

sianyflewog · 03/05/2020 08:51

@ShiningStarz Harry only ever wore short sleeve vests under his sleepsuits x

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 08:52

Thanks @sianyflewog I got the white organic cotton short sleeve ones from next in up to 1 month and up to 3 months. 👍

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 08:55

Another question!!!
My partner and I really like the bugaboo pram range. We are quite outdoorsy and plan all being well to be out for as many walks / coffees as possible!
The bugaboo fox 2 however is just over £1000🙈 I have read that the bassinet can be used as a Moses basket during the day. So I was thinking I could do that and then it could be used at my parents for little
One sleeping as I'll be there a lot using the day when my partner is back at work. Is that ok?? It's totally flat..

Sunshinexx95 · 03/05/2020 09:37

@Roxy8203

Yeah that is true we have all summer.. I woke up today with positive energy. I looked at some baby clothes and some other stuff.
And my due date is 7th of September so I guess we have a lot of time left. I am happy my mum will be able to help me to do some shopping too... so that relaxed me a bit. 🌹

@ShiningStarz that is true my life has also always been hectic 😅 so maybe it was meant to be.🌹

And by the way what do you guys think of silver cross wave? I was looking at bugaboo donkey 3 in the store and my husband hated it. The fabric looked very cheap .. and it was complicated to fold. We also looked at other bugaboos. But still we weren't convinced. Then we saw silver cross wave.. and it looked perfect.

emma278 · 03/05/2020 09:43

@Sunshinexx95 i loved the wave but i think we like the silver cross pacific autograph. I just wish i could go to a shop and look at it in real life 🙄.

Xx

ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 10:07

I checked those 2 out quickly and they are all a similar price!! It's just expensive I guess. A bit like when you putting wedding in front of anything!! That's such a shame about the bugaboo fabric. The fox 2 is newest model and has easy click fold (apparently). I wish I could go see them in the store!! Which store would you even go to? Mother care is gone and we don't have a John Lewis in NI. 🙈

ChipsAreLife · 03/05/2020 12:57

I found the bugaboo really easy to collapse and ours if five years old. The fabric is pretty good, you need something that's durable. Also I use a Moses basket fitted sheet for the bassinet bit and then a sheepskin for the seat so really comfy for baby.

I think using the bassinet bit (whatever it's called) is fine for naps! When they're newborns it can be very short spurts anyway.

The trying out is tricky. We had a pram centre in oxford where we went. Maybe worth a google to see what's near you?

Also moan away it's a crap time to be pregnant! Just because you're not facing the worse ordeal imaginable doesn't mean your feelings are valid. We are all missing out on things and it's fine to feel sad about it x

OP posts:
ShiningStarz · 03/05/2020 13:59

Thanks @ChipsAreLife that's made me feel a bit better about the bugaboo range! The fox 2 in black is currently out it stock and waiting time is approx 7 weeks! Must decide by the end of the month and just get something ordered! Great can use bassinet as a Moses for during the day / at my parents for day naps. It'll save buying another thing!!! X

flameprincess · 03/05/2020 13:59

@ChipsAreLife you are so right. I daren't moan in the real world as any time I've mentioned feeling a bit down with it all and being stuck at home with no appointments I've been told "well at least you are safe?" Which is valid and sure an attempt to make me feel better but I do feel like I'm not allowed to have a whinge. It's nice we can come on here and air it all out!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
