In regards to shielding, I think the expectation is that there will be several peaks - this peak is not the end. My husband spoke to a doctor in one of our local hospitals, who isn’t expecting the peak until later in the Summer - and then another colleague said it wasn’t expected until later in the year 🤷🏼‍♀️ All you can do is be vigilant, be sensible and don’t do anything unnecessary.
I think they’ll start to relax social distancing measures soon and we’ll be able to see family members, as long as it doesn’t lead to large crowds. Western Australia haven’t had a lockdown, but took social distancing measures very seriously and their case numbers are great! They’ve just started to relax their measures. But I think that the UK will potentially have another strict lockdown later.

Anyone else finding they are having really crazy dreams? I have no idea if it's pregnancy realted but I've never dreamt so consistently or vividly!

Last night I dreamt I went for my scan and the baby was a boy, but also had no veins in one of his legs 😂🤔🙈

Chanel05 · 28/04/2020 09:16

@sianyflewog funnily enough I've felt quite a lot of popping the last 24 hours, maybe baby is ramping up!

@MooseWL yes! Last night I dreamt my cat was swimming in a hot tub! Confused

Scan tomorrow! I'm 20 weeks today and actually feel really emotional in a happy way. It's hard to believe you can ever get this far when you've had a loss beforehand.

Lorna198 · 28/04/2020 09:30

Glad it went well @emma278!

Good luck today @ShiningStarz!

Mine is tomorrow late afternoon. This time is gonna drag so much lol

emma278 · 28/04/2020 09:33

Ah id just like to get some sleep. Been awake between 2and 5 last few nights with headache which is i think it my sinus. I just cant seem to shift it and its worse when in bed as laying down. I just want to feel half normal for one day!! Xx

ChipsAreLife · 28/04/2020 09:39

@emma278 I'm the same. Awful hayfever keeps me awake. Am up for a good two hours in the night. Drives me mad!! Keep telling myself that it's my body getting me ready for the night feeds!!

@shiningstarz I didnt worry too much about bottles etc, as you can get them so easily. If we are in lockdown close to when you give birth then maybe get some but even now you can get in the supermarket or online. I got the pre made bottles that have a built in bottle top as my back up. I'll put the link below.

omg, my OH felt his first proper movement from baby yesterday. i'm so happy. its been a pretty crap time and my 20 week scan is next Monday so fingers crossed.

ShiningStarz · 28/04/2020 10:11

Thanks everyone for your messages! Everything looked good, so relieved !! 😊

Chanel05 · 28/04/2020 10:29

@ShiningStarz glad it went well!

Lilice · 28/04/2020 11:16

@ShiningStarz glad it went well.

@MooseWL I have very vivid and strange dreams too. I dreamed the other day I was in the labour ward, waiting to give birth and I was petrified. Not a good dream
I'm so tired at the moment. I keep waking up all night to go to the toilet and I'm awake for a while every night around 3 or 4 am.

ShiningStarz · 28/04/2020 11:27

Thanks for that @ChipsAreLife my appt was so quick, in and out within 30 mins. No chance to chat to a midwife or have any questions answered! So glad you ladies are here to advise.

I'm also awake from around 4am. I'm starting to get used to it and I suppose it's easier as not having to get up to leave the house for work!

Lazydaisydaydream · 28/04/2020 11:52

@ShiningStarz that great news! Glad it went well.

I've been having really vivid dreams. Sometimes in the morning I have to check with my husband whether they were real or not!

sianyflewog · 28/04/2020 11:54

I’ve had a few nights where I’ve had to sleep almost sitting up because of heartburn, so I’m hoping I see a midwife post-scan on Thursday (does this happen? I can’t remember from last time?) so I can get something prescribed.

@Chanel05 I feel exactly the same as you. I had a miscarriage (very early on) back in November, and I am terrified that something will be wrong now. Hence, I’ve bought nothing outside of what we already own from having H.

A lot of my friends are also reporting really strange dreams since we’ve been in lockdown?

emma278 · 28/04/2020 12:18

@ShiningStarz thrilled for you!!!! Great stuff.

Roxy8203 · 28/04/2020 16:52

Hi ladies.
For those with hay fever have you tried local honey? My family keep bees and apparently a lot of what they sell goes to people with hay fever who swear by it.

My changing bag came today, Pacapod, it's lovely, really happy with it.

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and not really feeling movement but I have an anterior placenta so I think he's just kicking that around in there and I'm not feeling it yet. Won't be long though.

Sara7455 · 28/04/2020 17:23

@ShiningStarz glad it went well!!

@rocknrosie - my OH felt the kicking for the first time this week too, such a magical moment, he was so excited 💕. He was also shocked at how powerful the kicking is, pretty sure there’s stronger to come though 🙈

MooseWL · 28/04/2020 17:36

Those that have had scans now did you get the whooping cough vaccine at the same time?

Roxy8203 · 28/04/2020 18:57

@MooseWL yeah I had the jab after the scan

sianyflewog · 28/04/2020 18:59

@MooseWL I booked mine at the GP when I was 16 weeks x

sianyflewog · 28/04/2020 19:03

@Roxy8203 Ooooh I like the look of the Pacapod. Would you put some photos on so I can see the size etc? That’s something I do need new this time round - I was thinking of having one from Joules, but what is everyone else looking at?

Roxy8203 · 28/04/2020 19:14

@sianyflewog the main bag about 14x13 inch

ChipsAreLife · 28/04/2020 19:28

@Roxy8203 yes Ive heard the honey thing! I think you need to do for six months before? I'm def going to try it though!!!

I need to book my whooping cough vaccine! Will do tomorrow.

I didn't see a midwife or anyone after my 20 week scan this time. Sonographer didn't even really discuss my report which I've some questions about. Luckily I'm speaking to my consultant tomorrow to discuss c section plan so can ask them!

@shiningstarz I don't remember my midwife offering much help with feeding. They just have me leaflets 😆 honestly the best way is asking people. X

@ChipsAreLife I've not heard the 6 month thing so not sure about that.
I'm going to spend some of the money I've saved not doing nct on a lactation coach to try and get the best chance at BF

Piper1879 · 28/04/2020 19:34

@MooseWL I had my jab the week before my scan , I was 20 weeks and one day. They asked me at my scan if I'd had it
