Had my GTT this morning. All fine, didn't get a phone call this afternoon, so normal, yay! I've never seen the maternity unit so quiet. They're taking huge precautions to make sure it's safe for women to attend. I would go to all planned appointments unless they advise you otherwise, or if you have symptoms and need to self-isolate. In that case, ring and let them know.

AmyMaria2 · 23/03/2020 00:55

Thanks girls, think I will still go I don't want to be missing important scans, I'm just worried that where I have my scans is in the main hospital X-ray/ultrasound unit, rather than maternity ward so bound to be more people rather than other pregnant ladies, but will just take the correct precautions xx

29+2 and my nausea is back! Anyone else?

Busylizzie85 · 23/03/2020 07:25

No nausea but I do have increased dampness 😳 I'm trying not to overthink it but it's not nice, I know it's very common and if it gets worse I will ask the midwife but I have had increasing urgency for the loo so I am assuming baby is leaning a lot in my bladder adding to the dampness.

29+3

Magpiefeather · 23/03/2020 07:45

@newbyxx I’m a little further behind you at 27+1 but yes I’ve got the nausea back and was sick yesterday out of the blue. Not my fave Confused i think baby must be having some sort of growth spurt and hormones are surging!

chocolate26 · 23/03/2020 08:12

@newbyxx I'm behind you at 27+2 and my nausea has come back but only if I get hungry, I need to eat every 2-3 hours otherwise I start to feel really sick. I also find im physically sick if I don't take my omeprazole every morning! I have terrible indigestion and heartburn.

peetieswie · 23/03/2020 08:54

Does anyone have the link to the hyponobirthing course for £12? My friend send me one for £160 which is live over skype but I don't want to spend that much as I already paid for NCT lessons and not sure if I'll get a refund for them so spending over £300 on courses seems a bit excessive! She offered to pay for the live one but feel a bit weird about it as we're not hard up, just don't want to pay that much. Does the £12 one have good reviews?

newbyxx · 23/03/2020 10:04

Is anyone still going to the shop to get food items? My OH is a work today and seriously need something to eat with this nausea but not sure whether I should or not? It's just my local coop 2 min drive away x

Busylizzie85 · 23/03/2020 10:07

I am @newbyxx as long as you keep your distance and use hand gel I'm sure you'll be fine x

newbyxx · 23/03/2020 10:09

Ok thank you @Busylizzie85 x

BabyBird20 · 23/03/2020 10:34

I've just realised our official '12 week lockdown' starts today doesn't it? And my due date is 12 weeks today.... not often people hope the baby is late!! 😬😬🤞🤞

Gigitree · 23/03/2020 11:37

Yes @BabyBird20 I feel like they’ve stolen a week from us as I’ve been staying at home 99.9% of the time since last Monday so it’s going to be more like 13 weeks!

Before all this I was so impatient to meet my little girl, obviously I didn’t want her to come early for her safety, but I’d of been happy if did did decide to make an appearance at 39 weeks for example. But now I’m hoping she’s happy to stay put for the duration 😂

chocolate26 · 23/03/2020 12:33

@newbyxx I'm still going to the shop for food! Apart from pregnancy I have no other health conditions that they say are a concern so I'm just being really careful. DH is self isolating now out of choice so I will be sending him 99% of the time. As long as you keep your distance and sanitise and wash your hands you should be fine.

Smiffette · 23/03/2020 13:23

No nausea thankfully, but the last week or so I've noticed my appetite has gone again and all I want is bland plain foods

29 weeks

umabb · 23/03/2020 13:57

I'm getting more and more nervous again now entering the 3rd trimester. I understand counting kicks is important but little B still does things different everyday ! He has been super active at night last two nights. I woke up at 3am ish to strong kicks. This morning he's rather quiet, no kicking but more of like swimming around a lot. I have no idea what is expected and what is a signal that he's unwell. The only obvious pattern is that he usually does get more active between 8-11pm , and that varies too, he could stay quiet until almost my bed time and start kicking hard 🤪
Are the patterns clearer to you all ladies ? xx

28+1 today

BabyBird20 · 23/03/2020 14:02

@umabb I've been thinking the same! I've not got a pattern at all really but going by the rule if I feel him moving about he's ok! I think they worry if you don't feel them at all at this point? No expert though!!

@gigitree I know exactly what you mean! Lost a week extra now and don't think we'll be out of the restrictions by the time baby comes along!!

Busylizzie85 · 23/03/2020 14:09

@umabb my bambino does what she wants I think, more active in the evenings but time varies a lot! I have had a lot of just swimming around recently rather than hard kicks. I'm sure she's on her own schedule.

mrssunshinexxx · 23/03/2020 14:55

@umabb I did have a pattern but then I had over 20 hours of no movement was shit scared but she started moving and since then about 10 days ago she doesn't have a new pattern I just go by if I feel her plenty in 24 hours that fine x

umabb · 23/03/2020 15:37

Thanks for the msgs you guys are awesome ! Xx @mrssunshinexxx did you call the midwives in that 20 hours? It's always scary when i stopped feeling him for a while. I don't know if I'm overthinking however seems the advice for this stage is to call within the day if anything abnormal observed. I'm going to be crazy this is so stressful. Confused

OP posts:
Rinoa · 23/03/2020 15:41

@busylizzie dampness, do you mean like discharge ? I've noticed I need SO many panty liners and some of them make me itchy. So I'm trying un scented ones but for some reason they are more expensive 😂 I'm guessing increase in discharge is normal but will ask the midwife about it

Busylizzie85 · 23/03/2020 15:48

@Rinoa yes increased discharge but also general dampness/wetness I have had it on and off throughout but last week or so it's increased! I have run out of liners (which also make me itch to so glad it's not just me) and ordered some from boots but they are low stock as is everything useful.

Rinoa · 23/03/2020 15:57

These arrived yesterday but FYI their "long" isn't actually long , lol seems normal size to me.

mrssunshinexxx · 23/03/2020 15:58

@umabb no I didn't I told myself if she didn't move when I got in the bath I would but she did thankfully x

Gigitree · 23/03/2020 15:59

@BabyBird20 yeah it’s sad To think that we may Still be in this mess come out due dates, mostly because it means my family won’t be able to have cuddles with her for goodness knows how long - but I’m trying not to think too far ahead as then I start to spiral, just taking it one day at a time at the minute as it seems to change so much daily!

Busylizzie85 · 23/03/2020 16:04

@Rinoa thank you!
