SearchingTheSkies · 07/04/2020 21:06

@Gigitree so exciting!! 💕💕

MissisBee · 07/04/2020 21:10

Great idea for the spreadsheet. Managed to add myself.
@UKtoSK not sure what the dentists local to you are doing - here they are immensely restricted in the treatment they can provide, due to the risks of virus spread. Mainly just doing pain relief and antibiotics, and very limited extractions.

Magpiefeather · 07/04/2020 22:21

Thanks @LillianFullStop, great idea, have added myself.

BabyBird20 · 07/04/2020 23:17

Zoey92 · 08/04/2020 02:51

Ohhh hello no sleep 🙄
Trying my best not to raid cupboards, been awake that long I'm hungry 😂 sorry I'm rambling but I'm not used to being awake

@Magpiefeather I'm also due 21st 😊

Magpiefeather · 08/04/2020 03:33

Hello @zoey92 due date twin and also insomnia twin! I blame my cat tonight, the full moon has sent her bonkers and she’s been running round knocking things over since 2.30. She’s zonked now but I can’t get back to sleep! So frustrating.

newbyxx · 08/04/2020 07:05

Hey ladies, anyone else worrying about weight gain? I totally understand I'm going to gain weight and am fine with that as my baby boy will be so worth it but I'm just starting to worry about how
I'm not going to be myself after he's here and how I'm going to look. I was a size 6/8 before so feel huge now! I'm not even weighing myself
As would rathe not know!

Have my 31 week midwife app today!

31+4

RPPs · 08/04/2020 07:17

@LillianFullStop great idea. Thanks for organising. Would you mind adding me? Due 10th June with a wee surprise? I don't have enough space on my phone to download the ap.
Does anyone else cry at the news? Ha ha Im a mess.

RPPs · 08/04/2020 07:19

My friend who is a new Mum advised me not to use wipes on our new borns as even the water wipes cause nappy rash. They said cotton wool and water is best. Just thought Id share.

Pegase · 08/04/2020 07:43

Ugh have GTT this morning. Stomach rumbling already.

I agree with water wipes- we switched to those after the newborn stage and just used cotton wool and water in initial weeks. Nappy rash is a pain to get rid off when it starts. We used yellow metanium cream when it did appear

mrssunshinexxx · 08/04/2020 07:45

@newbyxx hey yes me, I was a 8/10 before I've put on 1 and a half stone and was really hoping to only put 2 stone on MAX as baby plus waters placenta and swelling will likely be a stone leaving me with only a stone to lose which doesn't seem to bad especially if I manage to BF x

Cb31 · 08/04/2020 08:07

@LillianFullStop great idea thanks!!! Would someone be able to add me as well please? Have tried to do it but its not working. I'm due 6th June, it's a suprise 💛.

I've got my 31 week appointment today too. Really interested to see how the baby has grown since. I was in the 95th percentile for my first measurement 🤦🏼‍♀️. I also had some glucose in my urine last time (I'm hoping it's because I stupidly scoffed some haribo before my appointment). If I have it in my urine again today I'll have to be tested for diabetes. So fingers crossed everything is ok and that I'm not growing a giant baby 😂 x

newbyxx · 08/04/2020 08:08

@mrssunshinexxx I'd be happy with 1.5 stone 😂 the last time I weighed about a month ago I was already 2 stone heavier, everyone is telling me I've only gained a bump and that a lot of it could be fluid but it's all very strange seeing a new body!
Good job we may have to stay in the house as il have no clothes to fit my post baby 😂 x

newbyxx · 08/04/2020 08:10

@Cb31 we're due date buddies 😊

Gigitree · 08/04/2020 08:51

I might be alone in thinking this. But would you guys mind using a ‘trigger warning’ or ‘content warning’ when you’re going to discuss things like feeling bad about weight gain?
There could be ladies in this group who have suffered with eating disorders in the past who might find this kind of talk triggering and they might not feel confident enough to speak up.

I understand for some people your body changing size can be difficult to come to terms with even when it’s for a good reason, so I don’t want to tell you not to talk about it. But I just want to make sure we aren’t accidentally making others feel bad about their own bodies or potentially triggering a relapse in someone’s eating disorder recovery.

I hope that makes sense, thanks all 😊

Gigitree · 08/04/2020 09:09

@Pegase hope your GTT goes well! I found it easier than I was expecting, although my little one was kicking me hard throughout the 2 hour wait, I think she was demanding her breakfast 😂

newbyxx · 08/04/2020 09:13

@Gigitree apologies I wasn't out to insult or upset anyone. Yes topics like that can be avoided if felt like it's best to, however I feel it's a normal topic to talk about and to know that you're not alone in feeling a bit different in your skin. No matter the size of the women etc before all our bodies are changing and I'm sure everyone finds it's strange, I just thought seeing as this forum we've talked about pretty much everything else from breastfeeding to piles, other women may also be feeling like me. I also never mentioned feeling bad about my weight gain just that it's different to be experiencing. Sorry again if I offended anyone that wasn't my intentions 😊

MsMiaWallace · 08/04/2020 09:30

Hey great idea with the spreadsheet!
Can't seem to add mine though?
Please can you put me on?

I'm due 29th June. Team yellow Smile

Gigitree · 08/04/2020 09:37

@newbyxx

No no I didn’t mean you offended anyone or anything like that. I just thought that there may be (or there may not be) people in this group who might find reading things like that triggering.
Like I said in my pp I don’t want to stop anyone from having those conversations as youre exactly right there will be others who find comfort in what you’re saying, it just simply occurred to me that it might be helpful to have a trigger warning before discussing them just in case.

By all means discuss whatever you like, I’m not suggesting we censor the group as we all need to be free to discuss whatever we like. It was just a suggestion that we could try and help people avoid content that they might find triggering.
