Back from my 31 week appt. Much less stressful than my last one when baby's HR was too high and my bump was a bit small. Seems bump has caught up a bit and now measuring 31cm and HR was fine. Such a relief. And it was nice to have a reason to leave the house, too! 😂

Hope everyone else has positive MW appointments as they pop up in the next few weeks x

31+2

Gigitree · 07/04/2020 14:57

Glad to hear all went went @APD1981

I have one on Thursday as my BP was slightly high last time so she wanted to check it again. No protein in my wee though so I’m hoping it was just because of the stress of covid 19 and it will be back to normal this week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Smiffette · 07/04/2020 14:59

@APD1981 glad yours went well! Mines tomorrow just before lunch! I'm looking forward to seeing my bump measurement and how it compares to the first one! And to just hear her little HB again 😍😍

Was your MW able to tell babies position?

Is anyone else planning any more private scans?

APD1981 · 07/04/2020 15:31

Yes, baby has been head down since I first started seeing MW regularly at 26 weeks, including the 2 occasions I went to triage. I think they're pretty good at working out where it is. I think mine has been head down for so long now it's unlikely it'll turn, but who knows?! Good luck for your appt. It's like every appt is another step closer to baby being here!

Rinoa · 07/04/2020 15:56

I've got another stupid question lol
We bought a chicco next2me bed thing with fitted sheets. Do I need a mattress protector as I normally have this for adult beds? I found a waterproof one but not sure if I can put the fitted sheet in top of it? Are there rules for doing this a baby's bed?

MissisBee · 07/04/2020 16:13

We never put a mattress protector on the Moses basket mattress but have had a waterproof one on the cot mattress. Always had a double layer of fitted sheets on the Moses basket though, to deal with those inevitable middle of the night sick-ups more easily.

I don't know whether my bump is low or high, but definitely having a lot of heartburn the past while and my lower ribs are really sore, feels like they're being stretched out! Baby was head down at my last appointment, but I keep feeling a big knobbly bit rolling around at the top of my bump. Had similar with DS - always thought it was his head, but turned out he just had a very bony bum!

Rinoa · 07/04/2020 17:03

Thanks @MissisBee this is the one we've ordered. Think you're right I'm going to find a waterproof one and double up with a normal fitted sheet

Oh no @peetieswie - yes it's good you can catch up on sleep.

@chocolate26 I've noticed this too the last couple of days! A bit like early pregnancy and we used to joke the extra heat is from something cooking in the oven.

Next appointment is on Tuesday for me I called this morning to confirm it was going ahead and they said yes as long as I don't have symptoms and no one in my household has symptoms.

31+4 💙

Smiffette · 07/04/2020 17:17

@ADP1981 ah that's good! All
My scans she's been breech 😬 so I'm going to get a private scan at 36 weeks!

I know I really can't wait to meet her! Was just looking through her baby clothes, need to wash the new stuff tomorrow whilst the weather is still nice, ready for packing hospital bag! 😃

LillianFullStop · 07/04/2020 17:39

By the way now that we're counting down to due dates - should we have a spreadsheet with everyone's due dates so we know who's due soon/due date buddies?

We did this in my last due date thread 3 years ago it was quite good to see the babies coming! If everyone is keen I'll send around a spreadsheet for everyone to add their due dates/team blue/pink/yellow Smile

APD1981 · 07/04/2020 17:56

What a great idea @LillianFullStop
I can’t seem to edit it from my phone so will try on my laptop later ❤️

SearchingTheSkies · 07/04/2020 18:33

Thanks for setting it up @LillianFullStop Not sure how to edit on my phone. Can it only be edited on a laptop?

LillianFullStop · 07/04/2020 18:41

I had it as read only sorry - I've just changed it to allow editing for anyone who has the link - hope it works now! Should work on the phone or it might need the google sheets app (free)

Busylizzie85 · 07/04/2020 18:44

I think I have managed to do it by downloaded the app it recommends! We are due on the same day @LillianFullStop so I have just added my name next to yours hope that's ok unless you want to fiddle with it so it looks neater 😊

newbyxx · 07/04/2020 18:59

UKtoSK · 07/04/2020 20:09

@LillianFullStop not sure how to edit, could you add me in please? June 27th with a girl 💕

Has anyone had any dental treatment while pregnant? I was due to have a wisdom tooth removed in October but found out I was pregnant a week before so had to cancel, but now I’ve got a swollen gum over the tooth and need to get it sorted but not sure what the rules are with pain relief etc while pregnant. Also not thrilled about going at the moment with Coronavirus around...

NakeliP · 07/04/2020 20:15

@LillianFullStop Great idea! Thanks for setting up Smile

Smiffette · 07/04/2020 20:17

It's still not letting me edit it ☹️
