@peetieswie I honestly don't mean to scare you but preeclampsia can be life threatening for mum and baby if you even think you are showing signs you need to ring hospital and get your ruined dipped pls don't leave it x tell they you have a cough and they will be prepared for you

Blizy · 04/04/2020 08:53

@mrssunshinexxx no further ahead, I called and they are not willing to budge. I'm so angry and upset about it all. My only saving grace at the minute is that my baby is always very active, so this reassures me a little. I had a telephone appointment with my psychologist and she couldn't believe it either, however she is unable to do anything about it. I'm being very vigilant and if I notice any change in movement I'll be right on the phone to maternity assessment!

mrssunshinexxx · 04/04/2020 08:57

Such a shame @Blizy but yeah defo keep a close eye and as you say you can go straight in if you have any concerns but I hope you won't have x

Rinoa · 04/04/2020 10:49

Not sure if this is part of the PGP but yesterday, after a very light 20 min pgp excercise I found online, I felt ok so took a shower. Afterward I started to do the bed. After stepping to the side like at an angle I suddenly felt like it pulled muscle down in my vagina/clitoris area. I guess because it's all muscles down there they're sore? It hurt so bad and definitely had a limp. I had to shuffle around to walk. Feel better today but down there is still quite sore and has been for a while now. Oh I should also mention I've been doing the pelvic floor exercises more regularly about 2-3 days prior with the squeezy app (where before I only did it when I remembered). I think i may have overdone it.

Zoey92 · 04/04/2020 22:05

Thank you for your reassuring replys yesterday ladies.
Was very eerie at the hospital i have to say but PAU were very quick off the mark, my app was 9:45 i was home by 10:30 (im not far from hospital)
My midwife messaged yesterday too checking in me, it's looking as though 31wk appointment won't be happening as she said
"I'll ring you in a few weeks to see how you're getting on"

Damn pregnancy insomnia...

RPPs · 05/04/2020 05:42

Morning @pegase just when I thought I was alone. Worse night in a while.
@rinoa yep I get this pain too, particularly bad afrera walk but it hurts moving in bed to if you don't move both legs simultaneously.

Busylizzie85 · 05/04/2020 05:46

Agreed @Pegase been awake since 3am 😴

UKtoSK · 05/04/2020 07:10

I was also awake at 3am today for over an hour, woken up by hip pain. It started weeks ago and I was managing it ok but the past week it has got so bad again. Anyone else getting pain on the outside of your hips? Rather than the inside/public bone area.

UKtoSK · 05/04/2020 07:20

Also I’ve been feeling a little down today but my cat Marmalade came to comfort me. Have to keep her off my bump because she’s a little chonk and she’d squash baby 🤣 anyone got any cute pet and bump pictures you’re willing to share? Or just cute pet pictures?

28+1 today so finally in the third trimester!

UKtoSK · 05/04/2020 07:52

@mrssunshinexxx so cute 😍

APD1981 · 05/04/2020 08:12

I wish I could upload photos but both the app and the website won't do it. I have loads of my cat and my bump!

RPPs · 05/04/2020 08:13

@UKtoSK snap. I get that hip pain too. thought Id overcome it but came back this week. Love your photos. Giving us a little lift today.

APD1981 · 05/04/2020 08:31

@pegase I was also awake in the night with really bad heartburn. Oh, the joys!

However - top tip!

I went on the tesco website as I'd heard they refresh their delivery and click & collect slots at midnight and I managed to get a C&C slot. I'm made up. Hoping to go on there once a week just after midnight and get one as it means we can lower our risk even more. DH was doing the shopping with a very detailed list from me and he was finding it quite stressful. I'm the one who does all the grocery shopping and planning normally so I've found it hard not being able to, too. So I'm made up to have got a slot. It's not until 15th next week but hoping I can grab a weekly one now until baby comes.

AndddddHerewegoagain · 05/04/2020 09:03

@UKtoSK and @RPPs this is pelvic pain not hip pain- hip pain is usually by the groin.

Its from the muscle from the top of your bum all the way down (gluteus maximus) being stretched. Try and make sure you sit with your legs in front of you and don't sit for too long. Massaging the area will help as well as gentle knee ups and leg swings to stop lactic acid building up.

Don't mean to sound like a known it all just had this last pregnancy and remember how painful it was, also had lots of physio for it which probably isnt an option at the moment xx

umabb · 05/04/2020 09:12

Woke up once every hour last night and very vivid dreams all night long 🤪 had pain for hours in lower stomach /groin ish area on one side in the evening. Standing seemed to ease it off a bit, sitting hurts more.
Stressed a lot too about having to go food shopping /sending the husband to go shopping but not getting things I want. 😑

30+0 today!

SearchingTheSkies · 05/04/2020 09:37

@UKtoSK I'm getting that discomfort/pain as well, but only during the night from lying on my sides. I've always been a side/foetal position sleeper and never found it uncomfortable, but finding hip bones and surrounding areas achy and sore lately. Luckily it's not unbearable, but desperate just to lie on my back for a while.

Loving the bump/cat pics!

BabyBird20 · 05/04/2020 10:32

@APD1981 I heard the same re Tesco so when I was up at 4am I logged in and managed to get a slot for 3 weeks time!! Spent an hour adding bits the the basket, including a pack of nappies as have none yet and starting to worry!! 😬😬 fingers crossed they'll be in stock when the slot comes round!!

Last night was an awful night for insomnia it seems! I couldn't sleep at all!

APD1981 · 05/04/2020 11:03

@Babybird20 oh great, so pleased you got a slot! I managed one for 10 days time at 2am so maybe if I were online just after midnight there might even be earlier slots. Now I know we have guaranteed shopping the week after next I feel a bit more relaxed about using things from the freezer so DH won't need to buy as much when he goes tomorrow.

Fortunately, I'd been putting a pack of Aldi nappies or wipes in the trolley most weeks for a few weeks before this so we do have some to see is through the first couple of weeks. Definitely a good idea to try and get what you can now, in my opinion!

Pegase · 05/04/2020 11:22

Ugh was up for about two hours and then went and slept on the sofa as became apparent that I wasn't going to get back to sleep in the same location. Now feel hungover and groggy.

Have felt light headed a couple of times in the past week which is rubbish. Think it is low blood pressure / dehydration which midwife warned me about last appt.

Sadly I did check Tesco and no slots in my area at 3am last night. Will try around midnight next time I am up then!

Pegase · 05/04/2020 11:23

The stress about not having things ready for the baby because of not being able to pop to the shops is immense though isn't it!

BabyBird20 · 05/04/2020 11:27

@APD1981 that's a good idea getting a few each time! I've really struggled to find any and now begging friends and family to look for them when they go too! 😬😬

You're right @Pegase it just adds another level of stress doesn't it! New born clothes all seem to be selling out too at the moment! I'm trying not to worry too much but think I'd like to have some stuff ready now just in case!!

Rinoa · 05/04/2020 11:41

Anyone buying bottles? How many are needed? I bought a medela pump that came with 4 bottles but no teats lol that's annoying.

Busylizzie85 · 05/04/2020 11:46

@Rinoa I bought a Tommie tippie anti-colic complete feeding kit that came with 8 bottles 4 of each size 150ml and 260ml I thought that would be enough if I needed it. 🤞🏼
