Ok folks here is the new thread. I have put it into ante natal again for now, we can always start a new one in the post natal forum once we have all popped.

:D Could have used that for a thread title.... Once you pop you just can't stop

Sorry for the delay....

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

EmLouT sent the following text at 20.35 yesterday:

"Just to let you know that Timothy was born yesterday (11th Sepetember)at 3 pm weighing Six Pounds 10. He is doing really well and we will be home tomorrow. Would you mind letting the Mums net Ladies know for me? Thank you Em Lou T."

lou031205 · 13/09/2007 16:03

Congratulations to new arrivals

Jasmine was weighed today (her due date) and is a whopping 7lbs 10ox, which makes her bang on average for a girl born on the due date. I am so proud of her

The hospital gave her meds for her reflux so she is doing great.

Rosie2404 · 13/09/2007 16:03

Congrats to all those who have now had their little ones - sounds like we're all popping at the same time. Funnily enough the name we have chosen is Ryan too - seems to be quite a popular choice at the moment!! Thank you all for your messages of support and I will post again when Im out of hospital - good luck and best wishes to everyone who goes in for c-sec or goes into labour over the weekend. x

emj23 · 13/09/2007 16:11

Oh my goodness, what a lot of announcements all at once!

Congratulations EmLouT, spraklynewthing and Twitmonster!! Welcome to all your babies!

Well, I went in for my ECV appt today. MW felt bump and thought LO was cephalic so I went off for a scan, and lo and behold - the awkward little devil had turned all by herself. Thank goodness. Now I just have to hope she stays that way. Bring on the curried pineapple eaten whilst driving down a bumpy lane!

kinki · 13/09/2007 16:25

Blimey, go out on the school run and come back to all this fabulous news.

So we have congratulations and welcome to Georgina Elizabeth, well done sprakly and mr sprakly. Lovely to hear you're all doing well.

Congratulations too to Ryan Christopher and Twit. 3 pushes? wow! Hope you are recovering well.

And congratulations to Timothy and Emlou. Hope all's well and settling in back home.

Well done Jasmine for thriving so well! That sounds like over 2lbs in a month. Your mummy must be feeding you brilliantly. She sounds so proud of you, you must be gorgeous.

Rosie, sorry you're not getting the vbac you'd wanted. I hope when you go in tomorrow everything goes to plan and is better than it was yesterday. One more day and we'll have another birth announcement! Best of luck, be thinking of you.

kinki · 13/09/2007 16:30

anyone heard from MrsM or Tink?

MrsFish · 13/09/2007 16:31

emj23 - that's good news

Congrats again to all those that now have their wonderful bundles of joy in their arms, can't wait till I can say the same.

thumbs up

twilite · 13/09/2007 16:41

I'm a bit of a lurker on this site, and I hope she doesn't mind me saying so, but I was looking for an announcement, Tink had a boy this morning. I'll let her fill in the details.

MrsBumblebee · 13/09/2007 16:56

OMG, everyone's had their babies while I was out!! Congratulations to everyone! And very pleased your LO has turned, EMJ, that's great news. And HIWBB, your physio appointment went so well too - so glad everyone's having such a good day .

Well, I've just got back from MW. All's fine, except she thinks LO has scampered back up a bit further inside . He's clearly more even more nervous about the birth than I am, and has decided he's staying put . She's booked me in for a sweep on Tuesday, and has said they'll induce me at 42 weeks if nothing's happened by then.

HammerHeadShark · 13/09/2007 17:28

OMG BABIES EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Huge congratulations to Sparkly and DH and welcome to Georgina.

Twitmonster - three pushes - what a professional and welcome to Ryan.

EmLouT - welcome to Timothy!

Mrs Mar and Tinkjon - hope sections went well today and you are cuddling your bundles.

Rosie - sorry to hear about your VBAC plans, but great that you get to meet your LO tomorrow - am getting very jealous of you ladies with your lovely babies!

emj23 - glad your LO has turned, hoped she behaves and stays put.

lou - glad to hear little Jasmine is doing so well - clever girl and clever mum.

Chatty - hope DP gets paternity leave sorted - I though it had become a statutory entitlement now rather than at manager's discretion as previously - your DP's boss sounds like an arse. Stay out of the woods

Mrs Bumblebee - hope things start moving for you soon - lots of respect to you ladies going to 40+ weeks. Did PMSL at you rummaging around your fanjo looking for elusive cervix, don't think I'd know mine if I found it, not that I've bothered looking (What a rubbish nurse I am!)

HIWBB - so glad to hear you are feeling better today - what a trooper!! Glad that DH's physio went well and you are getting a better level of input for his rehab - even if it is making his head turn purple Only 4 more sleeps til we get our babies YAY!!

Have got the DTs registered at a nursery today - hope they will like it - they begged to stay at their "very own playschool" when we left the informal visit so hope they will settle quickly. It will be their first time at nursery (just 2 mornings a week) as both DH and I work stupid long shifts so it has not made sense financially to put them in nursery until now as one of us has to be off work anyway to drop off/pick them up, but we thought it would be good for them to start now they are nearly 3 and get funded sessions in January. Will also give me a little one on one with the baby a couple of times a week without being crawled over by curious toddlers

Any more babies in the time it has taken me to write this??

Rin23 · 13/09/2007 18:03

just a quickie to say huge congrats to Sprakly, Twit and EmlouT - at this rate, I'm gonna be last!!

sophus · 13/09/2007 18:11

MrsBB - shall we start a 42 week club?
Congrats on all the new arrivals, it certainly has been busy out there in babyland today.

kyala · 13/09/2007 18:20

Hello my lovelies, sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, I just haven't really had a chance, not that I have mush time now (just before I go and do, rather lazy, toasties for dinner!)

I haven't actually read any posts (sorry lack of time) so congratulations to anyone who's had their LO in the past 2 days and a big Hello to those who I've missed and have missed me!

After my rather annoying engagement with pubic transport on Tuesday had another yesterday, albeit rather pathetic but still annoying! They sent a tiny skipper bus for the half 5 bus (rush hour?! Not the best move really is it) so had to fold up the pushchair and get DD onto the bus, carrying the pushchair up the steps and her change bag, I just count myself very lucky that I didn't have any shopping with me!

I find it disgusting that not a single person offered to help me (being so blatantly pregnant and having to put the P/chair down in front of the whole queue of folk too) My friend pointed out today that, unless you have a wedding ring on your finger, you look like a single parent so are considered scum nowadays (I would wear my wedding ring had my hands not blown up to the size of my feet!!)
All I can say is that if I see someone struggling from now on, unless they are pregnant I'm not helping them! (And can now see DH's point when he said basically the same sort thing about parent/child parking! He actually admitted to using it when he's not got DD in the car! I hate that!)

Anyway, had a better day today, took my wool out and had a bath with DD and now am going to make some dinner (or make DH do it, it's only toasties )

Anywho, off now, hope you're all really good, sorry for the flakey me me me post, will catch up if I get a minute tomorrow. . . . as long as LO doesn't start coming
byeeeee
Kyala 40+1

Chattyhan · 13/09/2007 18:42

Wow what a busy afternoon!

Congratulations to Sprakly, EmlouT, Twit, Tinkjon and their babies.

Emj - so pleased your lo is ceph i hope you get the birth you want

lou - Jasmine's weight is excellent well done

Rosie - best wishes for tomorrow

Well thought you may have a giggle to know Ryan is a possible on our list!

Thanks for all the support re DP. Just to clarify he's not being refused the paternity leave his boss is telling him he's still got to make his months quota regardless of organised leave/holiday which makes DP think he can't take the leave or he won't get his work done! I said forget the quota tell the boss he'll have to get the work covered because DP needs to be there for DS, LO and me. But DP wants to make a good impression on his first week!

canadianmum · 13/09/2007 19:25

Gosh, I miss one day and there's been a population explosion!!

Congratulations sprakly, twitmonster, tink, emlout - have I missed anyone????

Dal, glad you are home and had a great experience. Enjoy your little boy!

Best of luck Rosie, sorry to hear the VBAC didn't happen but at least you will meet your lo soon.

mrsmar - can't wait to hear your news, hope its all gone well and st. georges have been good to you and yours.

Where is ediemcredie???? And have we had any news from hayley? Anyone else gone AWOL??

Not much new here, although everyone is commenting that I have "dropped" and it does feel like my bump weighs an extra 5 stone. Last night my yoga teacher said "Ooooh, I don't think we'll be seeing you next week" which I am taking as a good sign - lol. I feel well in the mornings but in the afternoon I feel like I have been shot with a tranquilizer dart, luckily my boys are doing full days at school next week.

canadianmum - 39+5 - OMG

canadianmum · 13/09/2007 19:42

Well I have had a lovely day, although I have been busy and been home all day, just the fact I haven't had a whiny noisy two year old hanging around all day has been bliss. I did some shopping first thing for my baking, managed 3 loads of washing/drying and ironing. Cleaned the kitchen, shined my granite - thanks for the link to the wonder stuff from Lakeland Dal Did some baking, a lovely lemon drizzle cake yum yum, and did some work on the computer for someone too (a bit of pocket money coming my way next month ) so a successful day, and whats more I don't feel totally knackered which is unusual.

I'm hoping for a decent nights sleep tonight i.e no emotional dreams, I don't want to be up at 3.40 again in tears...

hi everybody, just a quickie from me due to rubbish patientline keyboard! baby Mar was born this morning at 11.30, weighing 7lb8oz. i would say this but he's gorgeous, all pink chubby cheeks and his daddy's dark hair! cs was most surreal experience of my life but straightforward and totally pain free (i still can't get my head round that bit ) i'm a little bit sore still but it's getting better hour by hour. still can't commit to a name but it'll probably be Luca. will post again when i'm home (hopefully sunday) and i'll upload a picture of my little angel

congrats to tinkjon and anyone else who's had their babies, best of british to those about to, take care and can't wait for full catch up soon!

xx

Norfolkbumpkin · 13/09/2007 22:10

Well since it's been a week since I last posted which was when my waters broke, I thought had had better update on what's been going on. After an hour of gentle rocking on my bouncy ball watching t.v. last Wednesday night my waters broke at 10pm. I started getting contractions soon after and things were going fine until 4am when I had a small amount of meconium. I phoned delivery suite who said to go in and they would check me over. Wedid this and once I got there quite a substantial amount appeared. The midwife took one look and said it didn't make sense, that amount suggests a breech baby. Sure enough when she did a scan the baby was found to be bottom down. She was very surprised that no one had picked up on this in earlier checks. What happened next was that I had an emergency section and not long after getting to hospital our beautiful daughter Kate Thea arrived weighing 5.6 pounds. She went to NICU where she stayed for 5 days until she was ready to come to the ward to be with me. I had a 7 day stay in hospital as I have complications with he scar from the section, but I begged to be allowed to go home yesterday. A bit of a upsetting time in all, our birth plan went straight out of the window. The main thing is that Kate is fine and healthy. I just need to get myself well now.

{{hijack}}

MRSMAR-big congratulations to you and dp

kinki · 13/09/2007 23:21

Congratulations Norfolk and welcome to little Kate! What a worrying time you have had. It sounds like you are coping well though. I remember being separated from ds2 for a couple of days when he was in scbu, so I can only guess how tough it must have been for 5 days. And to have trouble with your scar too. How's it doing now? Don't let the midwives discharge you from their care until you are happy its all healing. (I got discharged this week despite some tummy pains and had to go to the drs the very next day. The gp was not impressed). Now that you're home I hope you get to relax and recover and most importantly enjoy being with Kate. Oh and btw, Kate Thea sounds gorgeous, very elegant - our thread has got the most beautifully named children ever. Obviously all of us have such impecable taste.

Mrs M, can't believe you are posting already. Woman, you've just had surgery. Can you at least pretend you are a little bit sore or tired or something? Seriously, you sound in amazingly top form - well done you, and welcome to the world little Mar, looking forward to seeing your photo.

Chattyhan · 14/09/2007 08:02

Congratulations to MrsMar - can't believe you're posting so soon! But nice to hear you and Babymar are doing well.

Norfolkbumpkin - welome to Kate Thea and wishing you a speedy recovery. My lo was very active last night and i'm really hoping he hasn't turned? loads of really big movements for nearly 2 hrs the most in ages. Anyway i'm glad you are both home and recovering xx

MrsFish · 14/09/2007 08:14

Conrats MrsMar and Norfolk, hope you both recover well very soon.

Chatty - my lo was moving loads last night too, I couldn't believe the shape of my tummy during some movements, so like you, I'm hoping he hasn't turned for the worst again
