@november90 Well I didn't sleep much as when I was on my side I can then feel my heart beating so that kept me up. Then when I did drop off I woke back up (maybe anxiety is going to sleep and it happening again) Will try a nap later. I never had this with my first pregnancy but they say each is different. I know that a few times I have commented to the other half when I am laying a certain way it makes it feel hard to breath.

sazzlerazzle · 15/03/2020 13:56

This virus is really starting to stress me out now, not so much about catching it but this awful stockpiling mentality. I haven’t seen any size 1 nappies in any of my local shops and I feel so anxious about what things will be like in a couple of months and being able to get basic supplies for my baby :(

sazzlerazzle · 15/03/2020 13:57

Sorry to be negative, I know I’m overthinking x

cbeebiessavedmylifee · 15/03/2020 15:51

Hi I know I’m late but can I please join? Only just found this topic. I’m due on the 27th with my 2nd boy

Rebecca612 · 15/03/2020 18:39

@cbeebiessavedmylifee snap I’m due on the 27th as well! With my first, although I have to have a c section so will probably be earlier than the 27th Smile

Moongirl10 · 15/03/2020 18:58

@Rebecca612 and @cbeebiessavedmylifee I’m due on May 27 too! First baby, having a boy 😊

woollycat · 15/03/2020 18:58

@sazzlerazzle same here. Are you able to get a delivery in? I am thinking of ordering some nappies and any remaining bits from Amazon. Ready made formula milk too - I plan to breastfeed but want to have some just in case.

facevalue · 16/03/2020 00:21

@sazzlerazzle i'm terrified that i might go into labour before my date and i havnt prepared a hospital bag! i didn't buy anything - should get things b4 the complete lockdown

AlmostAlwyn · 16/03/2020 08:11

We are on lockdown now and you can still go to the shops so don't worry that you'll be left locked in your house with no baby supplies! But good to get some things prepared if it's making you anxious - though babies need very little in the way of "stuff"! Smile

GinUnicorn · 16/03/2020 09:03

Stressful few weeks. Got to see the consultant as baby measuring small and I’m stressed about midwives having Coronavirus and no one being around to deliver the baby. Anyone else stressed?

Raindancer411 · 16/03/2020 09:51

@GinUnicorn My little girl is measuring small (8th percentile at 30 weeks). I have growth scans. Did they suggest reasons why? My sonograph went through four reasons with me.

november90 · 16/03/2020 11:57

Omggg I hadn't really thought about the coronavirus effecting deliveries and orders for baby things. I'm gonna do a huge o line order tonight and try and get everything I need! I haven't even ordered his crib yet 😩😩😩
Stressed!!!

GinUnicorn · 16/03/2020 12:20

@Raindancer411 they said my bump is small and baby on the 9th percentile. Feel guilty because I’ve felt so sick I haven’t wanted to eat much. Also stressed because I really want a home birth.

@november90 I know. It might be hormones but I feel so anxious at the moment Sad

woollycat · 16/03/2020 13:50

@GinUnicorn did they say baby is 9th percentile based on a scan or based on the bump measurement?

Sunshine8888 · 16/03/2020 13:51

I have been ordering the last of the baby essentials the last few days just incase it becomes hard to get / deliver and things I’ll need for my hospital bag.

I feel like I’m getting a cold and it’s starting to stress me out, I mean I think I’m ok but how do we know for sure? I don’t think you get the usual stuffy nose etc with the virus and I can hold my breath and count to ten. Just going to have to monitor it I think 🤔

also feel like I’m stress eating! Eating my way through the worry! 🙈

Lifesforlivingandloving · 16/03/2020 14:10

Also being monitored for baby being small
I had a second growth scan today and another next week
Feeling so scared now x
Baby has grown and put on weight from 3.2 pounds 2 weeks ago to now 4 pounds x but I'm absolutely terrified something is going wrong x

GinUnicorn · 16/03/2020 14:41

On the scan @woollycat feeling a bit guilty and emotional about it

MamaBearThius · 16/03/2020 14:48

Can I join a bit late to the party please Smile 28 weeks, technically due 7th June but will be having a section so will be a May baby. 2nd baby, had a rough pregnancy so far! Got Placenta Previa, had a bleed last weekend and they were prepped to deliver Shock but all calmed down thankfully.

november90 · 16/03/2020 15:07

@MamaBearThius hi there! Congratulations on your pregnancy ☺️❤️

Can I just ask in general if you're having a c section do they not let you go to full term? My baby is still breach and it's looking like I'll be having one as he's also on the larger side? I know it sounds daft but my nannas birthday is the 5th of May which is just less the a week before my due date. I'd love to have the baby then if I ever got a choice 🙈

MamaBearThius · 16/03/2020 15:12

Thanks, hi Grin
I think so, to avoid it becoming an emergency section if you go into labour? Not sure as my first was a semi emergency (7 day labour ended in a decision to do a section so nothing dramatic)
Doesn't sound daft!
This baby is named after my Nana

Raindancer411 · 16/03/2020 16:00

@GinUnicorn I was told they should put on about 1lb every two weeks. So my girl was 2lb 15oz and will roughly work our to be about 6lb at full term.

facevalue · 16/03/2020 16:55

@november90 i'm having an elective section and it's booked at 39 weeks - they don't want to push it further because u might go into labour and things get messy then

sao81 · 16/03/2020 17:21

Is anyone watching the news?! Its the first time I've been fully scared.

november90 · 16/03/2020 18:43

Thanks @facevalue ! I've sort of made peace with a section now... but still optimistic! A week early will hopefully mean he won't be as big as my first chubby giant baby (9lbs4oz)

I have just ordered my crib, sleepyhead, emergency formula for hospital, and all the essentials I was putting off just in case deliveries are effected! We don't have long left ladies do we?!

My friend told me she can't get size 1 nappy's/prepare formula for hospital but you can get them online via Morrison's I case anyone is worried! You can also get hand sanitizer.

Is anyone considering starting mat leave early to get out of work? I can't really work from home and I don't really want to go in 😬

Sunshine8888 · 16/03/2020 18:46

I think pregnant women have just been moved to high risk group and we’ve been told to self isolate for 12 weeks...
