@caspianberg, I’m breastfeeding and still don’t have leakage so I don’t think so

facevalue · 15/04/2020 10:42

@Saoirse7 i just ordered the full briefs from george asda- i would get one size bigger than normal- if anyone is having a C section then 2 sizes above.

@Caspianberg definitely nothing to worry about! I didn't leak colostrum in my first pregnancy and had no problems with breastfeeding. I'm not leaking now either, but that might be because I'm still breastfeeding my toddler Smile

I've seen people collecting colostrum, but it's not something I did (or am going to do!).

I've got some pairs of mesh underwear for afterwards. I found them really good last time! Smile

flissity · 15/04/2020 12:41

Yes Almost... I am not sure I will be doing it.

@sao81 perhaps you could give it another go this time then? Have you kept all your bottles and stuff from last time? You may find that BF just works better this time 🤷🏻‍♀️ I really don’t know!

Lifesforlivingandloving · 15/04/2020 13:46

Baby boy arrived 00.36hrs on 13/4/2020 weighing 5 pounds 7oz 💙
Due date was 2/5/2020

We are so in love with him already xxxx

woollycat · 15/04/2020 14:14

@Lifesforlivingandloving wow congratulations!!! 😍😍😍 How was the experience at Queen Charlotte's? Did you go to the birth centre? I would be very thankful for any details you can share if / when you have the time and energy 😀😇 enjoy this special time!!!

123Pandy · 15/04/2020 14:38

@Lifesforlivingandloving congrats!!!!
Hope you are both doing well! 💕💕

123Pandy · 15/04/2020 14:39

Oh yes - second the Queen Charlottes experience. I e booked in for the birth centre but am considering going on the labour ward in case I need an epidural

woollycat · 15/04/2020 14:45

@123Pandy how did you book in with the birth centre? My 36w appointment is next week at the regular antenatal clinic and no one has asked me about my birth preferences so far. Wondering if I should ring the birth centre directly at this point.

GinUnicorn · 15/04/2020 14:47

Hey all. So I had my growth scan today and baby is still small so I might have to be induced Sad

I know it’s selfish but nothing about this birth seems to be going to plan. Feeling a bit depressed

123Pandy · 15/04/2020 14:58

@woollycat I was asked this at my last appointment a few weeks ago and opted for birth centre. The midwife must've put the request in fairly quickly as I got a call from the birth centre the day after for an appointment.

I also have my 36 week appointment next week! ☺️
I'm sure they'll go through everything with you then.

To be fair, caught me off guard as she asked re vitamin K injection, birth preferences etc and I hadn't even had a chance to do my research

123Pandy · 15/04/2020 15:01

@GinUnicorn don't worry..it all feels a little meh at the moment.
I'm sure you're in good hands ..and hopefully once life gets back to normal, we will have the rest of the summer to enjoy the new arrivals 😊

woollycat · 15/04/2020 15:02

@123Pandy so is your 36w appointment at the birth centre or it's at the antenatal clinic and you now have a separate appointment at the birth centre?

november90 · 15/04/2020 15:45

Oh @GinUnicorn I'm sorry to hear that :( did they say when they may induce?
It feels so unfair doesn't it. Speaking from my own experience, because of how my ex has treated me, and now this I feel like I've been robbed of my whole pregnancy. I love being pregnant so much and I've been broody ever since I had my first. All I keep telling myself is that something really good must be coming :) everyday is a day closer to this lockdown and pandemic being over. But all the positive thinking in the world doesn't stop the disappointment, I totally understand.

On another note, I can't put into words how badly I'm betting restless legs and feet syndrome. I'm struggling so much. I can't sit because of it, I can't sleep. Does anyone have any tips? I have an electric foot messages that helps and I go for my daily walk. It's driving me insane!!!

sazzlerazzle · 15/04/2020 15:48

Does anyone know why the Babybjorn bouncer is so expensive? What has it got on the other ones? I’m so confused!

My sister had the 4moms bounceRoo and loved it and that’s around the same price as the Babybjorn but seems to offer a lot more.

facevalue · 15/04/2020 16:08

@sazzlerazzle have you tried putting it on youtube - they usually have video reviews by parents. remember somethings are expensive because of the brand name and that's it. we bought the bjorn travel cot! over 200£ and used it only hand full of times- does have good reviews and washable bits- thank god we r having this second baby so i can use it again to get the moneys worth

sazzlerazzle · 15/04/2020 16:14

@facevalie ah no I hadn’t thought to check YouTube! I’ll have a look! x

123Pandy · 15/04/2020 16:30

@wollycat it's my antenatal next week at 36 weeks and I have another appointment at the birth centre a week after that.

MrsHouse92 · 15/04/2020 16:47

@sazzlerazzle we've just bought ours as it was on offer on Amazon. My hubby's work friends (all blokes!) all recommended it because it's a God's send even though it looks super basic to me! I guess sometimes simple is better!

AlmostAlwyn · 15/04/2020 17:27

@november90 I don't have any personal experience, but I've heard a weighed blanket can help with restless legs? There's lots of tutorials for making your own (no-sew ones as well) online if buying one looks expensive.

@GinUnicorn it's tough when you feel like things aren't how they should be. No one planned for this Sad Extra hard if you're worried about baby though. Have you been doing any hypnobirthing? Even just looking up the Positive Birth Company's YouTube channel and practicing some up breathing? They've got a free positive affirmation track as well which could help you get in a more positive mindset?

As November said above, every day is one day closer to everything being back to normal. We can do it! Star

GinUnicorn · 15/04/2020 18:08

@123Pandy I know you are right it’s just making me really stressed out now.

@november90 that kind of nails how I feel. The whole pregnancy feels like a stress not something to enjoy. I was excited before to be pregnant but I’m just not able to enjoy it now. I have an appointment 12 May and if no improvement they will induce the next day.

@AlmostAlwyn thanks. I’ll give them a try

Emmacb82 · 15/04/2020 18:14

@Lifesforlivingandloving congratulations on your baby boy! Hope you’re both doing well.

@november90 I also suffer with restless legs and the evenings are worse for me, or any time that I’m feeling particularly tired. The only way I get through the evening is bouncing on my gym ball!

@GinUnicorn will keep my fingers crossed that the next scan will have better news for you and you can avoid induction. I guess that’s the issue with pregnancy and birth, it’s out of our hands what happens and I think it’s the lack of control that is the worst part x

Sunshine8888 · 15/04/2020 19:59

Congrats @Lifesforlivingandloving 💙
