i know, thats all i want to see is that heartbeat. I don't really know why anything would be wrong, its just some cramping. Midwife didnt seem worried and mentioned a scan just to reassure me and possibly check for a missed m/c - but she said i would have been bleeding by now and i would know0im very much feeling pg so surely baby is ok?

Sorry im just so worried.

Lorayn · 25/09/2007 09:17

Dont apologise!!!!!
Crikey you have every right to be worried, and tbh, with the amount of m/c's we have had on this antenatal thread it has had me convinced I would be next
Only two hours til your scan, try to relax, and get back on here and let us know asap, k?
(thats an order!!)

scorpio1 · 25/09/2007 09:19

will do! won't be for a few hours, hospital is 40 miles away and i need to go shops after.

I'm sure baby is fine-its probably all the stress i have been under this weekend!

EllieG · 25/09/2007 09:25

Thinking of you scorpio - am sure is fine, but best of luck and let us know how you get on xxx

Hello

I do not post very often because I am still paranoid about something going wrong.

I am still nauseous but my sickness seems to be easing. I was sick in the morning and evening but now it seems to be the occasional thing that sets me off.

I am starting to get a sore back. I cannot sleep because I cannot get comfortable in bed and I don't even have a bump yet.

Im 10+3 and I have not got my scan date yet! and my blood pressure is up and down like the clappers. So Im seeing my GP on a regular basis. It is so frustrating I don't drink, smoke, Im not overweight and I exercise 3 times a week.

I am sorry for all of you who have had bad news

TheMaskedPoster · 25/09/2007 10:32

Morning

My heart goes out to those who have had bad news and I wish you all the best in the future. xx

I have just come back from my 12 week scan and all OK... I too am 34, I had the nuchal test and have gone from 1:280 to 1:1503, so that is good IMO. Dates still showing the same, so I'm here for the duration now!

Bladder was filled to bursting and the sonographer kindly told me that I didn't need to fill it quite so full in future LOL. Boy did I need to wee after!

Have lovely pictures and am scanning them in to send to my mum and dad in NZ. Tis mums birthday tomorrow so will be nice for her to see.

Still feel sick in the evenings and can't manage a big dinner - but I'm working on it.

Good luck Scorpio - am thinking of you , and all others.

xx

Hope all is OK Scorpio!

Have just spoken to Antenatal, apaprenlty the reason I ahven't ahd my scan date is that the paperwork has been lost- they have no record of me . MW tryng to se what she can do, but I'm already 13 weeks!

great start huh?

lemonaid · 25/09/2007 11:43

Scorpio -- hope by now you have been reassured.

Oh, yes, Lorayn -- I couldn't see the heartbeat to begin with on Monday and was convincing myself there was a problem, until I noticed that the baby was waving its arms and legs around so presumably there was a heartbeat going on in there somewhere (rapidly followed by ultrasound woman, who wasn't at all worried, finding it and showing it to me)

chipmonkey · 25/09/2007 12:57

scorpio, how did it go?
I find that if I go in the car the sickness gets a lot worse.
Have a scan this afternoon and am quite worried about the bladder situation. If I drink loads of water I will throw up, if I drink none, the scan won't work. Trying to figure out the happy medium!

Elfsmummy · 25/09/2007 13:54

Hello all, Haven't posted in a few weeks as felt so generally ill and miserable, I was sure something bad had happened. Anyway we had our dating scan yesterday and all is fine. EDD remains the same 8th April.

Good luck to those having scans today. I feel like a load has been lifted off my mind and so much physically better its untrue. (Wish I'd gone private earlier now)

Chipmonk, I could hardly keep anything down before my scan and hadn't had a wee since getting up that morning (very dry) the scan lady said it was fine at this stage (12 weeks+1) She could still see despite the not too full bladder.

So sorry to read the bad news stories since I last posted Thinking of all you ladies and your partners and best of luck for the future

loisstella · 25/09/2007 14:13

Hi guys... just went for a 10 week scan - because I'm a nervous/nosy bugger and they confirmed what we thouhgt at the 8 week scan - we conceived late and so my wee one is actually only 9+3 - and so I am due 25 April.
Baby is growing consistently so not a small baby - just a young one the sonographer said.
He was lookign for a heartbeat, but wee one kept slipping away - we heard it in the far far distance which was brilliant (like horse galloping away from us).

Bit of gos - B lister celeb and the (not yet very pregnant looking) missus spotted at the Fetal Medicine centre.

scorpio1 · 25/09/2007 14:14

Baby is fine!

measuring 11+4, exactly what i thought. Heartbeat clearly visible, waving, kicking, and we even got a face on view and could see where his eyes/nose/mouth are! We saw his stomach and his cord too. (just saying him because prefer him to it)

I cried when they showed me my baby and said he was fine. They said to keep my scan for next thursday because they need to check a prominent vein in the placenta, but nothing whatsoever to worry about. she said if im going to worry then no more scan next week; so obv nothing bad at all!!

Thanks for rescuing me in my hour of need

loisstella · 25/09/2007 14:18
