@twittlebee I'm glad you're both ok but that sounds like an absolute shit show in the way you have been treated. Please don't feel stupid. One thing I've learnt from Mumsnet about pregnancy is that you often need to shout up if people aren't treating you how you should be treated. Please don't feel embarrassed or ashamed to push for answers from the hospital. Also I hope the midwife apologised for being stern when you were only following orders.

I feel angry on your behalf. Please don't be afraid to go back in if you're worried.

Zoey92 · 29/01/2020 16:25

Had my scan today very happy healthy 💕GIRL 💕

@Zoey92 congratulations lovely pictures!

@Tweetlebee glad you and baby are ok and at least in the comfort of your own home. As OP said, when you go in tomorrow push for answers, it's a stressful time so you at least need to be kept well informed and treated with care.

umabb · 29/01/2020 17:02

@Twittlebee you are amazingly calm / amazing really! Just saw the posts overnight (crazy busy day) Glad you are home and please get all the rest that you can. Got everything crossed for you and baby 🌹

I love seeing ultrasounds! 🥰

@umabb definitely! I pray everyone here has safe deliveries !

hjbows88 · 29/01/2020 17:53

Oh @Twittlebee by heart has been in my throat reading the posts today. Pleased cervix is still closed but obviously the situation is massively concerning. Hope consultant app brings answers and a plan. Sending you lots of love xx

LillianFullStop · 29/01/2020 18:12

Glad you are able to rest at home and cervix remains closed. Is there anything more they can do for you? Hope it stops tonight and you can get some sleep x

HayleyD84 · 29/01/2020 20:09

@Tweetlebee I'm so so sorry you are going through this, I can't believe they have discharged you! Def push them tomorrow and don't let them fob you off.
Really hope you get the best care tomorrow, will be thinking of you xxxxx Thanks

BabyBird20 · 29/01/2020 20:47

Anyone got any tips for curbing a cough? Been off sick all week with a horrendous cold and today it's developed into an awful barking chesty cough! I wouldn't mind so much but keep getting awful spasms in my abdomen after a big coughing fit and it's getting painful!! Taking paracetamol and drinking hot lemon and honey but not touching it yet 😢

AmyMaria2 · 29/01/2020 21:14

@Twittlebee so sorry you're going through such a scary time and had awful treatment, I hope you can just rest up and the contracting stops🤞 x

@Zoey92 congratulations, a baby girl 💗 any name ideas?

@BabyBird20 I had awful flu a few weeks ago it's horrible not being able to take anything 🤦‍♀️ I'm not sure what to suggest other than honey and Paracetamol x

I've popped so much this week, all out front as well! X

APD1981 · 30/01/2020 06:33

@Twittlebee glad you're at home but can't believe how poorly you've been treated! I hope you've had some sleep ❤️

@Amymaria2 wow! Your bump is lovely. Mine popped a bit this well, too. All the kids in school told me so! 😂

RPPs · 30/01/2020 06:34

@twittlebee you are clearly very strong. Just focus on you and Baby. Leave them to figure out what happened. Stay calm and relaxed. I appreciate how horrible it must be to hear them refer to a mc but like you said Baby is moving and that's your focus. Hope all goes well today. Take some snacks just incase.

I'm back to hospital today as my bloods had changed. Iron levels have dropped and kidney function is high. Praying it's all manageable and glad they've spotted it now but only because I went in with palpatations. Haven't had bloods done since 12 wks and now 21.

Stay positive all. And enjoy this time.

umabb · 30/01/2020 07:05

@AmyMaria2 lovely bump ! I don't think mine grown much since 16wks but my weight is off the scale ! I blame the food my parents fed me in the last 10 days or so Grin

umabb · 30/01/2020 07:08

@RPPs did they ask you to have a repeat test. They found an elevated liver enzyme in my recent blood test when I went check my itching. I've had blood extracted twice and am asked to get another blood test done early next week. Hope all will be fine for both of us xx

OP posts:
AmyMaria2 · 30/01/2020 07:21

@umabb I've put on just over a stone all together as well, which I also blame on food and cravings for anything sweet🤣 but I am mainly out front bump at the moment! X

@RPPs I hope they can do something to control your levels, I haven't had bloods since 12 weeks either x

chocolate26 · 30/01/2020 07:56

@AmyMaria2 wow your bump is amazing 😍 lovely shape!

This is mine at 19+5 😊 still quite small I think.

Lovely to see all bumpdates.
@Twittlebee how are you doing?

@chocolate26 i'm 19+4 but anterior placenta so I'd say thats the readon behindmy smallish bump.

@AmyMaria2 not yet we had a boy name picked because i was so convinced i was having a boy 😂 full of suprises already

Here's my 21+5 bump, I started showing early at 11 weeks. It's popped out in the last week I'd say. X

I feel that we are so lucky with the support from the nhs, I haven't felt him move in around 2 days, have been feeling him Atleast once a day for the past week. I've phoned midwife this morning and although they have said they're not concerned because I'm before 24 weeks they are still allowing me to go down at 2pm to hear his heartbeat to reassure me. Even with my bump I'm so nervous xx

Cb31 · 30/01/2020 13:11

@newbyxx really glad they're so understanding and are getting you checked out today. I had a lot less movements the other day but today and yesterday baby has been much more active again so hopefully everything is ok. Good to know that I should just call them if I'm worried. Good luck for your appointment at 2pm, I'm sure you'll hear baby's heartbeat pumping away 😊 xxx

BabyBird20 · 30/01/2020 13:40

@newbyxx you're lucky they get back to you so quickly!! When I ring you have to leave an answer phone message and they get back to you within 48 hours!! stressful!! When I had bleeding before I ended up going via gp and into hospital for a scan before the midwives even called me back!! 😬

newbyxx · 30/01/2020 15:05

Yeah my midwife team seems to be really good 5 min drive from my house and some one is always there. Heard baby's heartbeat and midwife said always call like I did as it was 2dAys. Feeling more reassured and just have to start believing that my baby is good and he will be here in June 😊🤞🏻 xx

BabyBird20 · 30/01/2020 15:26

@newbyxx that's brilliant!! Glad is all ok with baby! I've never heard the heartbeat of my little bean, something I'm very much looking forward to. Worried that I'm still not really feeling him but guess I'd worry more if I'd started feeling him then stopped!! It's just one anxiety after another in pregnancy isn't it!!

AmyMaria2 · 30/01/2020 17:40

Glad every thing is okay @newbyxx it's great to feel like you can go somewhere for reassurance x

@BabyBird20 hope we start feeling our babies soon, thought I was this morning but I was desperate for a wee so decided it was more something to do with that😂😂 x

Hope you're doing ok @Twittlebee xx
