Oh @Twittlebee sorry to hear you're in hospital. Can they give you medicine to stop the contractions? I hope you're being well looked after x

BabyBird20 · 29/01/2020 05:42

@TwittleBee I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope they manage to get it under control and keep baby safely where he/she needs to be!!

Pegase · 29/01/2020 06:28

@Twittlebee thinking of you

RPPs · 29/01/2020 06:48

Ohhh noooooo @Twittlebee I hope they are able to stop it. Sending you lots of love and thinking of you. Take it easy and try to stay positive.

Cb31 · 29/01/2020 07:04

Thanks for the new group @umabb

@Twittlebee really sorry to hear that, will be thinking about you Xxx

For the MATB1 certificate I'm almost certain that you don't have to give it to your employer by 25 weeks. I think that's just when you have to let your employer know that you're pregnant. Just looked on the .gov.uk website and it says you have to give it in within 21 days of SMP starting.

Smiffette · 29/01/2020 07:06

@Tweetlebee so sorry to hear this, my friend went through a similar thing. She was a little bit further along and I'm sure they gave her something to stop/slow it down x

newbyxx · 29/01/2020 07:06

@Twittlebee thinking of you! Must be so scary x

21+4

Cb31 · 29/01/2020 07:06

Also my midwife said I would get my MATB1 form at my 25 week appointment.

Cornishbumpkin · 29/01/2020 07:09

Sending lots of love and support @Twittlebee. Fingers crossed things settle down x

Lemonysherbet · 29/01/2020 07:09

@Twittlebee hope you're doing ok, thinking of you XXX

I think my employer just wanted my matb1 form asap before they can issue me the letter showing what holiday etc I'll have. Rather than it must be in by 25 weeks. A lot of companies are a bit more relaxed;

APD1981 · 29/01/2020 07:12

@Twittlebee thinking of you and got everything crossed the doctors can work their magic. Sending lots of positivity to you xx

For those thinking of switching midwives... I really like mine but she only does a Tuesday afternoon clinic. It's the most awkward time of the week for me so I asked if I could see her at a different time. She said I could move to a different midwife on a different day as that's all she does. So, if you find out what days your own MW does her clinics then just say those days are convenient and then you should get another MW without saying why!

APD1981 · 29/01/2020 07:13

Oops... *Aren't convenient

mrssunshinexxx · 29/01/2020 07:19

Blizy · 29/01/2020 08:12

I get what you mean about the soreness of the whooping cough shot lol got mine yesterday & my arm is very sore but not too bad. Just feels like an annoying bruise.

@Smiffette I'm still not feeling movement either, getting a little worried as I haven't had a scan for a couple of weeks but I have the second part of my 20 week scan Saturday so looking forward to that! X

Smiffette · 29/01/2020 11:05

@AmyMaria2 I had my second part this morning! All was good although we did have to wake her 🙈 but got the images needed.

Not sure I will make it to term without getting another private scan!

AmyMaria2 · 29/01/2020 11:27

@Smiffette ah that's great, glad you got all the images you needed and everything is okay🥰
Ah I definitely wouldn't be able too go that long without a scan!! I have to have quite a few extra scans as I'm under a consultant (28 wks, 32 wks and 36wks) but if i didn't I'd be booking a private scan🙈 x

22+0

Smiffette · 29/01/2020 11:38

@AmyMaria2 oh yes of course, that's one benefit of consultant led care!

I think I might get one around 32 weeks to see her position and size! She's currently breech, hopefully she will move round later on, they usually do I read.

BabyBird20 · 29/01/2020 12:10

@AmyMaria2 @Smiffette I'm still not feeling much if anything either! Can't wait for the second part of my 20wk scan in two weeks. Luckily I'm consultant led too so will have a 28wk and 32 wk scan too! Still tempted to book another private one too!! 😬😬

LillianFullStop · 29/01/2020 12:47

Thinking of you @TwittleBee hope everything stops and settles x

MissisBee · 29/01/2020 14:13

@Twittlebee really hope everything settles, thinking of you x

Twittlebee · 29/01/2020 15:16

As a way of an update; baby is okay and I'm home again. But I was mistakenly discharged. Someone said I had to leave and was discharged when I was meant to still be there on bed rest. Had a stern phone call 3 hours later from a MW asking where I had gone! Everything was very confused too, no one knew who was actually looking after me at one point. I felt stupid being there too, I hadn't even been given anything to eat for 20 hours either as i was admitted too late for dinner and then had a scan during breakfast! Anyway, I'm still contracting every 15-20 minutes and still losing bit of bloody mucus here and there. The MW who phoned me said I may as well bed rest at home now but go to head straight in if I worsen and I'm to go in tomorrow morning to see my consultant too. Cervical scan did show only a 0.6cm change and still closed too so they arent sure what is happening. Feel left in the dark. Just hate how they keep referring to this as a threatened miscarriage when to me it feels like labour and my baby is very much alive and well.
