@lorna198 I feel your pain with the cold!!! Since yesterday my nose hasn’t stopped running and I’m a little shivery!!
Anyone else not feeling any pregnancy symptoms?!

Lilice · 19/02/2020 14:33

@Shiningstarz is it your first baby? I didn't feel pregnant with my first and had no symptons apart from sore boobs but that came much later, i already had a bump by then. Second time I had a just little bit of nausea. And now third time I've got all the symptons. But I think it's because im tired and old Hmm

Lilice · 19/02/2020 14:37

@emma278 I have to write everything down otherwise I forget. Sometimes I still forget even though I had it written down on my calendar Confused
@Sunshinexx95 I hope your back is ok and that your cramps have stopped

ShiningStarz · 19/02/2020 16:05

Yep @Lilice it’s my 1st. I’m so nervous but I know there’s nothing I can do. I’m resting and trying to do as little as possible today!!

ShiningStarz · 20/02/2020 08:33

Morning!!
It’s a cough and cold now ☹️
Boob soreness has gone since yesterday, I’m worried but I’m trying not to let it stress me out x

emma278 · 20/02/2020 18:21

Finally got my 12 week scan date! 28th, so only a week to wait!! So nervous xx

Roxy8203 · 20/02/2020 19:35

@emma278 it's exciting isn't it, mine is on Monday, I'm excited and scared

Maybebaby2 · 20/02/2020 19:47

Hi all, pleased to say I'm having a much better week, energy has returned and I've really enjoyed my week off with DD. Hoping it doesn't all go again when I'm back at work next week!

How exciting that we are all starting to approach the 12 week milestone!

ShiningStarz · 21/02/2020 08:36

Awwww @emma278 that’s great!!!!

I’m completely dying, cold, sore throat, ears, head, cough! Didn’t move off the sofa yesterday!! Not helped by not being able to take any meds.
Really don’t feel pregnant at all. Maybe see if my cons will see my next week too (11 weeks). I need to be reassured.

Chanel05 · 21/02/2020 09:20

Hi all I haven't posted in a while but I've been following your journeys! I've been trying to keep calm for a while and not post on here too much!

I feel like my anxiety is quite rife at the minute and don't know whether to have another scan. My NHS isn't until 9th March when I'll be 12+5.

ChipsAreLife · 21/02/2020 12:15

Hello! Sorry I've had one manic week. Makes time go fast though!!

So I'm 11+2 today ... got no symptoms at all anymore. Sickness gone, no sore boobs, slight food aversions still but that's it!! Energy is coming back. Woooohoooo! This is completely normal at this stage, it was the same in my previous pregnancies - placenta is taking over. If you google then you'll see it's completely normal, so try not to worry.

I've got my dating scan two weeks today so on countdown to finally see my little one. got a crazy couple of weeks as DH is pretty much away so mum life and work means no time to over think (hopefully!) of course things may still go wrong, but I know the chances are low so I hold on to that.

I do have a little bump now ... third time it really shoots out fast!!!

How's everyone else? @anotherpassword hope you're ok?

@emma glad you got your scan date!

@ShiningStarz it's so bloody annoying having a cold as you can't take anything. Have you got some halls? Loads of fluids, hot blackcurrant squash is nice on a bad throat and loads of vit c.

@lilice I'm the same. This third one has been the worse. The tiredness and sickness have broken me. Much better now though, hurray!

ShiningStarz · 21/02/2020 12:44

@ChipsAreLife your msg has made me feel better. I’m 10w 4d today. Since 10w my boob soreness disappeared! Still have some milky white cm but less of it. Totally freaking out but I also read the placenta takes over around now and not to worry. I just hope my body can grow and sustain the placenta 🙏

Lilice · 21/02/2020 15:26

@ChipsAreLife i can't wait to be at your stage. I'm 9 weeks and this week is the worse so far. Haven't been physically yet but constantly nauseous all day long, it's dreadful, and im so tired. Glad you're feeling so good now. Hopefully my placenta will take over pronto

ChipsAreLife · 21/02/2020 18:35

Ah good @ShiningStarz honestly it's so normal. More people feel that way than sick etc at this stage.

@Lilice I feel you. The last few weeks were so bloody tough, I felt useless and sick and tired all the time. Questioned what I was doing having another! You'll get there and it's so nice, I feel significantly better.

ShiningStarz · 22/02/2020 11:43

Thank you @ChipsAreLife it’s so good having experience from others that have already gave a little one❤️

My cold is finally settling! I even showered this morning 🙈 feel a little more human!
I was tempted to try and be seen this week at 11 wks but I’m being silly as my partner says!! Iv no bleeding n no reason for worrying, just the lack of symptoms so I’m going to hang on until 3rd March 🤞🤞

How’s everyone else feeling today?

emma278 · 22/02/2020 13:30

Anyone suffering with sinus pain? I hve pain all in my face and head, normally itd be a quick ibuprofen job but without that im stumped. Its really getting to me xx

pangolin84 · 22/02/2020 13:35

Hope everyone’s having a good weekend so far :-)
I did parkrun this morning. My boob soreness hasn’t been that bad - kind of on and off (I’m 8+5 today) but apparently running 5k is just too much for them. By the end it felt like I’d been rubbing sandpaper on them. It’s really put me off running!

ShiningStarz · 22/02/2020 14:17

@emma278 oh no that was my worst fear with this cold but thankfully my sinuses are ok.
The gp said steam with boiling water and vicks. You could try that xx

@pangolin84 you are so good doing a park run!!! Where I am it’s very wet and windy since this morning!! I swim and did some weights last week but then caught a cold so not sure what’s good for me!!

pangolin84 · 22/02/2020 18:44

@ShiningStarz Definitely a good time to take a break so your body can put all its energy into fighting off the cold and growing a new human!

I was a bit surprised how hard it was. I was going at a slow jogging pace and got ridiculously out of breath and was exhausted by the end. It felt like a half marathon!

ShiningStarz · 22/02/2020 19:37

Anyone else feeling incredibly emotional!!! I feel like having a good cry!!!! WTF totally unlike me!!!!

glasha87 · 22/02/2020 20:09

Impressive! I can’t exercise to save my life at the moment and feeling worse for it.
I’ve been so poorly with morning sickness, today has been a ‘good’ day - only found myself with my head down a toilet bowl once! Nausea is pretty constant and really struggling with existing as a functioning human.
Managing to work full-time, lounge with my DD, lie down - in a loop. DP has been great.
I’m doing a PG course at the moment (online) and I can’t bring myself to open the laptop Blush - hoping it abates soon.
Went for an early scan on Thursday, I had my dates completely wrong Blush - I’m only 9+5, but thankfully everything is looking as good 🤞🏻Very relieved but still so full of anxiety. It’s such a worrying time - I remember (now) being like this when I was expecting DD, some things never change!

Lilice · 22/02/2020 20:24

@pangolin84 wow!!!! I've been to the gym twice since finding out and didn't even work out enough to sweat Blush

pangolin84 · 23/02/2020 18:28

I’m lucky that I haven’t had the sickness - I just feel generally terrible the whole time. I’m not sure how I will cope at work this week without my afternoon naps!

I have my booking appointment this week (scary!) and DH can’t get the time off to come with me. Is it ok to go on your own or do you need someone with you?

emma278 · 23/02/2020 18:43

@pangolin84 i went on my own, its probably better on your own anyway as they need you by yourself for part of it (domestic violence questions). Just make sure you know all his details and any important family medical issues xx

Lazydaisydaydream · 23/02/2020 20:01

@ChipsAreLife this will be my second baby, and I already have a little bump at 12.5 weeks! Didn't look like this until a month and a half later the first time around! When I told one of my friends I was pregnant she said "oh I thought as much because you've been looking a bit fat" Blush who needs enemies with friends like that Grin
