@emma278 how are you keeping?

emma278 · 12/02/2020 22:01

Hi @ShiningStarz thanks for asking! All good just finished my work conference and now have 5 days on the back of it at disney with my husband. Although less fun not being able to go on most things. The weather is glorious so that helps! How are you? I still feel super normal. Hard to eat healthy here in the states xxx

ShiningStarz · 12/02/2020 23:04

Oh wow that sounds amazing @emma278. Hope you both have lots of fun !! I feel normal too. Had so much wind today but that’s the only difference! Enjoy the not eating healthy!! Your on holiday after all!!

OrDis · 13/02/2020 06:45

Oh @ShiningStarz have an AMAZING time in Disney!!! You’ll do so much walking so it’s probably good that your feeling normal, as it will mean you can enjoy it and not feel quite so knackered! Enjoy a mickey ice cream bar for me! 👍

ShiningStarz · 13/02/2020 08:44

Morning everyone, is anyone here doing strength training in the gym / home?

I used to do a lot of Free weights / weight machines but haven’t for a while. I’ve been reading benefits of toning arms /
Legs for healthier pregnancy, delivery and post energy when baby arrives!! Thinking I might try some in gym tonight and at the weekend 💪

OrDis · 13/02/2020 12:13

In my earlier message I meant @emma278 enjoy your holiday! Doh! Sorry!

Lorna198 · 13/02/2020 12:30

So at my booking appointment midwife mentioned flu jab after 16 weeks I think it was. I thought ah I’ll be ok.
Wrong!!! So full of cold it’s ridiculous. Hope sneezing doesn’t make the baby jump lol. Hope it’s gonna clear up as fast as it came!

Roxy8203 · 13/02/2020 12:54

My midwife told me to get it any time and if I didn't get it before they would do it at my 12 week scan appointment. Hope you feel better soon

ShiningStarz · 13/02/2020 13:17

Hi guys!
I’m freaking out as my bloating is kinda n boobs not sore, just the nipples delicate..
I’m sure it’s fine but anyone else feel ok at this point?!! Next scan isn’t until 2nd March ☹️

emma278 · 13/02/2020 13:52

@ShiningStarz feel exactly the same. Infact nipples not overly sore either xx

ChipsAreLife · 13/02/2020 14:15

@emma278 oh wow I'm jealous! I love Disney. At least there are loads of gentle rides and you can always chill by the pool. Are you in Florida? It's just amazing 💕

I remember saying in the previous thread my symptoms and bloating went around 9 weeks in my previous pregnancies so completely normal! This time round I'm struggling with sickness though and I'm getting a bump but midwife said I would earlier on. Im thinking either a boy or twins lol!

I really feel dreadful I've had to stop working this afternoon and go to bed. I would honestly love to feel normal. I think I'm tired though as girls are waking up crazy early. If you've had scans it's so unlikely anything is wrong. You could drive yourself mad with all the what ifs, just try enjoy it.

The flu jab, is it an injection or is it through the nose like they do to kids now?

I am so tired too, I have to take power naps to make it through the day. Im so lucky I work from home!

@ChipsAreLife how old are you kids? Have you told them you're pregnant? I had to tell mine quite early on because I'm so tired and wanted them to understand why and not imagine that im sick or something. It's stressing me out though because my 6 year old is doing scrapbooks etc for the baby and im so scared of something happening and she will be so crushed.

@emma278 enjoy disney, sounds amazing!

ChipsAreLife · 13/02/2020 15:01

@lorna Oh forgot to say I had my flu job at 9+6 wasn't told to wait at all. I feel ok (well shit as usual) but not fluy!

@Lilice my flu jab was injection.
Mine are 3 and 5, they will tell everyone and anyone so I have to wait. My 3 year old asked if I had a baby in my tummy last night as it was getting bigger 🤔 it's really hard, I guess something could go wrong at any stage and that's always hard but it's unlikely so don't worry too much.

Thanks @emma278 it’s reassuring I’m
Not the only one!!
I haven’t been able to look at jeans the last 2 weeks and I’m back in them today!!

@ChipsAreLife good to know you were similar at 9 weeks.

I read that the placenta takes over the progesterone production from around week 9/10.. that’s what iv been clutching on too.. if it’s not my ovaries now, then maybe that’s why I’m not so bloated!! I miss looking about what I imagine 6 months pregnant to look!!! 🙈

emma278 · 13/02/2020 16:17

@ShiningStarz i find my jeans get a little tight but only in the evenings... aside from that very normal. I also find i lose appetite in the evening and feel a bit ropey but thats more likely jetlag.... xx

ShiningStarz · 13/02/2020 16:23

@emma278 I felt so sorry for myself that I wasn’t bloated and looking pregnant that I over did it on chocolate!!! I ate quite a few bits of a terrys choc orange 🤣🙈 I’ll never learn 😩

Lazydaisydaydream · 13/02/2020 16:53

@Lilice we've got a big brother t shirt for our son, so will dress him in that and wait for them to notice when we go to visit!

I think I'm just dreading all the boring conversations over and over about it Blush I really want to not tell anyone the due date but my OH says we can't as it will look weird. But honestly I got so stressed out last time having them all message me constantly in the weeks leading up to the due date. Even if they weren't asking if anything was happening that was obviously why they were messaging me anyway!!

I'm just in a bit of a grump this week I think from being worried about the scan 🙈

pangolin84 · 13/02/2020 21:12

Is anyone else sneezing way more than usual?! A bit of a weird one... people at work keep asking me if I’ve got a cold (I haven’t).
I think I’m going mad - also can’t stop poking at my boobs to check that day’s tenderness rating.

Roxy8203 · 13/02/2020 22:07

@pangolin84 I'm doing the boob thing too 😂 I'm not sneezing but have been having a bloody nose, not nose bleeds though

OrDis · 14/02/2020 06:47

@Roxy8203 bloody nose here too! Seems to bleed when I vomit which is so grim. Going to ask the midwife about it later as I have my booking appt today

Roxy8203 · 14/02/2020 07:40

@OrDis apparently it's normal and due to the higher blood volume that we now carry.

Lilice · 14/02/2020 07:56

@pangolin84 I'm doing the boob thing too Haha.
@Lazydaisydaydream the teeshirt thing is such a good idea! Where did you buy it? As to your due date, maybe tell them you're due in October?

LeeCee · 14/02/2020 08:02

Morning everyone can I join please? Got my BFP a couple of weeks ago and had a dating scan yesterday which gave me due date 26th Sept. this will be no.2 for us DD has just turned 1. So excited but also terrified for 2 under 2! Is there a Facebook group set up? It has been such a support from my last pregnancy

ShiningStarz · 14/02/2020 08:24

@pangolin84 yep I’m also a boob poker too 🤣🤣

@LeeCee congrats!! Yeah there’s a Facebook group. It’s called September September. Think from memory the image is pink and blue!

badg3r · 14/02/2020 15:45

@Lazydaisy I lied with my second, told everyone he was due two weeks later than my EDD. SOooo much less stressful than my first who was 9 days late!

Bit late to this thread but 9 weeks today and just got back from viability scan - baby has good heartbeat and two feet!
