Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Crazy dreams and waking up early is my main issue at the moment. 15 dpo now, have known for the last 5 days. We are only telling my parents so they can me with excuses for not drinking over the festive period. We have a huge family so lots of parties and they are all big drinkers! Went to a hen party yesterday and managed to hide the fact I was drinking mocktails.

Nikki1811 · 01/12/2019 13:14

Hi everyone, found out on wednesday im pregnant! Still very early, im about 4 weeks, due around the start of August. This is my first pregnancy!

I got the coil taken out in September and only had 2 periods ... it all seems a bit too good to be true and I'm quite nervous. Trying to stay grounded - everytime I go to the toilet I'm terrified of seeing blood. I'm so excited though, been wanting a baby for a very very long time, but I've never tried for various reasons.

Feeling really tired, very bloated and a fair amount of cramping along with sore boobs. First appointment with midwife is 31st December and scan is 20th January!

Jojo19834 · 01/12/2019 14:01

@Firstmummytobe I’m from Worthing in Sussex, any more southerners?

Congratulations @Aggie53, must be so hard not telling him! I’ve started telling a few family members, mainly because of anything bad happens then I don’t want to have to keep it all to myself.

Congratulations also to @nikki1811, doesn’t feel real yet to me either, symptoms on the low side atm, although my sister did say that she was sick as a dog from 5 weeks so we shouldn’t be complaining as the fun is still to come!

meggybug · 01/12/2019 14:39

Anyone else overly obsessing about whether this will be a cp or not? I know theres nothing I can do either way and just have to let nature run its course, but I must have googled a million times! Seems like some people on here get blood tests at the doctors - is that in the US? I'm in scotland and basically see noone until midwife booking in appointment at 8-10 weeks

blackpinkinyourarea · 01/12/2019 15:22

I just contacted the maternity unit and they told me that i needed to see my GP first :/ i'll be lucky if that happens before christmas!

20Summer13 · 01/12/2019 15:30

Hey all, got my BFP on Friday and think I'm due around 9th August. This will be baby number 2 for us as have a 6 year old little boy GrinGrin

Em012 · 01/12/2019 15:38

Congratulations @20Summer13 and what a pain @blackpinkinyourarea Can you tell the receptionist why dunno if that would make any difference.

LanieM87 · 01/12/2019 17:15

I'm exactly the same @meggybug !! I think it's been made worse as I've had some light spotting over the course of the week! I'm gonna ring my GP tomorrow and get referred to the midwife. I'm not sure I can cope with another 8 weeks before a scan! 🙈

meggybug · 01/12/2019 17:30

@LanieM87 it's so stressful! My OH's view is what's the point in knowing the stats for chemicals as I can't influence it. But it's not his body so I think he's less attached at this point!

Kizzy8705 · 01/12/2019 17:46

I’d like to join I’m either due 2nd aug or very end of July, had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in May, and a chemical last month so feeling quite anxious

LanieM87 · 01/12/2019 18:08

@meggybug it's so stressful, I just wish I could peek in and see that everything was progressing as it should!
I didn't even know about chemical pregnancy's until I found MN.

Is anyone else still POAS??

meggybug · 01/12/2019 18:23

@LanieM87 I've taken a few more, but stupidly at different times of day with different brands which has resulted in fainter lines and more anxiety 😂.

@Kizzy8705 welcome! Sorry to hear about the losses, that must be tough. Keeping fingers crossed for you that this one sticks ♥️

francis05 · 01/12/2019 18:32

Hi, i've been stalking this post for the last few days and just wanted to know if anyone has had the same experience as me, as im going slightly crazy with the unknown!

I stopped taking the combined pill (rigevidon) at the end if sept after being on it for 7 years, had my usual 4 day withdrawal bleed, but then no period since. Me & my husband only started trying properly mid Nov as I noticed I had EWCM so assumed my cycles were starting to regulate again. Now since the 16th Nov im been having cramps in my stomach & lower down, as well as on both sides and an achey back. Its been on and off throughout the days but normally comes at the same sort of time in the afternoon. Also noticed changes to my boobs (nipples are huge!) and seem to be quite veiny. Ive obviously been a bit obsessed about this for the last 2 weeks, taken so many tests, frer & cb have all been negative but had a vvvvfaint positive & unclear on sainsburys tests (which eve since read are unreliable) took another this morning and negative again. Also very bloated and some nausea but no idea if thats all in my head. Ive had no sigh if AF apart frim cramps and no spotting, cm has been watery and milky for the last couple of weeks too (tmi)

So just wondering if anyone has had the same experience and it took a while to get their BFP? I was off work with a sickness bug on Wednesday so took the opportunity to go and see the doctor she was very understanding and told me to phone next week if no BPF and she will look at the possibility of referral for a scan.

Sorry for the essay! Thanks in advance xx

Girlinglasses · 01/12/2019 18:53

@LanieM87 yes it's so stressful, I'm 4 weeks 3 days now and miscarried at 5 weeks 3 days last feb so feel like the next week or so will be hell 🙈 I used a clear blue last Tuesday and it said 1-2 weeks so I used the same test again on Friday and it had gone to 2-3 weeks and again today (couldn't stop myself 😭) and it still said 2-3 weeks so I feel like that is a good sign. I'm going to take one more in like a week to see if it goes up to 3+ weeks, as I have one left in the pack, and then going to be strong and not but any more! I'm hoping to be able to have a scan end of dec/start of Jan to put my mind more at ease. I just can't see the next 12 weeks being anything other than terrifying!

Girlinglasses · 01/12/2019 18:54

@meggybug sorry that was also in response to your post!

JessManc · 01/12/2019 19:04

I've been offline for the weekend but sounds like lots has been happening!
@DieCryHate how is everything going?

@Rara87 @DanielleG96 and the other ladies talking about cramps. I feel like I'm on my period too and keep expecting it to finally arrive... got fairly bad back pain too but easily relived with hot water bottle. Seems to come and go but worse in the evening!

We've told close family and friends - however we have lots of friends so that quite a lot of people considering it's so early. I don't care though, these are the people I would tell if anything was to go wrong anyway so it's nice to have their support!

I have a work event tomorrow so just going to say we had a big Thanksgiving weekend (partner is from the US) and I'm taking it easy, then at the Xmas party I'm going to pour wine and not drink it/misplace it Wink

Jojo19834 · 01/12/2019 19:17

@meggybug I am concerned about a CP too. Although I think they become obvious at 5 weeks and so I was going to test again then. As I am IVF I get a 6.5 week scan so will know for sure then but I think hcg dips from 5 weeks if cp so you could do a weekly test for a few weeks? Don’t know what the rates are as couldn’t find that, but as we all know, there’s nothing we can do anyway. It’s one big waiting game now and I thought the 2ww was bad!!!

Jojo19834 · 01/12/2019 19:20

@francis05 I don’t have a lot to add I’m afraid but wanted to acknowledge your post. Please let us know how you get on, symptoms are there but no hcg. How many days post ov are you?

DieCryHate · 01/12/2019 19:24

Hi @JessManc and everyone, thanks for asking. I'm still not sure what's going on. Still negative tests unfortunately, but bleeding isn't kicking in and it's been 48 hours since the weird spotting started and test went negative. I'm a bit concerned as what I'm (barely) losing is very similar to what I had with my ectopic earlier this year. Would've thought a CP would be in progress by now and similar to a period.

Not sure whether to call EPU tomorrow, see if I can have some bloods.

How are you all getting on?

JessManc · 01/12/2019 19:29

@DieCryHate Sorry to heat that Sad It's my first time so I'm not sure what I would do exactly but I'd try get checked out for sure x

Girlinglasses · 01/12/2019 19:35

@DieCryHate I'm so sorry to hear that. I think they would defo do bloods for you given your history of ectopic, but hopefully it's not that. When I miscarried earlier this year I had some very very mild spotting for a day or two, then practically nothing for about 2-3 days even though bloods had shown that my hcg was gone way down, and then got what was like a normal period, just a bit more painful.
I'm so sorry you must be going up the walls at the moment, I know the uncertainty is awful xx

DieCryHate · 01/12/2019 19:40

Thank you both @Girlinglasses @JessManc I'm sorry about your MC girl in glasses, and pleased you're now on this board.

Good idea, I'll see if they can do bloods. Hopefully I'll have something happen in the next couple of days. If it's a CP we will try again. Both the ectopic and this is us trying for our second and final baby. If it is ectopic which hopefully it isn't, think we will call it a day.

I hope you all are feeling okay and things are progressing well, such an exciting time for you all Thanks
