Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

Thanks for all the messages ladies♥️

@Em012 so sorry for your loss.

I'm fairly sure people have clocked I'm not drinking. Went to an event last night and couldn't use the driving excuse as we had a lift there (arranged weeks ago). Everyone knew we had been trying. No one said anything (as we had a late loss 6 months ago) but I noticed no one was offering me any alcohol drinks after I'd started on the soft drinks.

Crazy dreams are a real issue, I'm so tired, just want a proper sleep! Also getting sick when I don't eat every few hours which is annoying. Also an quite bloated which is annoying!

NamiSwan · 08/12/2019 16:10

@em012 so sorry for your loss :'-(

@crazycoonz I am also getting nausea when I haven't eaten for a while. Trying to eat little and often to keep it at bay. And ditto the crazy dreams!

I pretty much stopped drinking after I had kids and in particular my second child as I breastfed her for ages (2 and half years 😳) so my lack of drinking won't be noticed as everyone knows I'm fairly teetotal and often don't drink when out socially. But in any case I'll probably tell close friends when I see them next and work in the new year once my scan is done. I'm an academic and our teaching allocations get done really far in advance so will need to tell them I'm not going to be around next academic year.

MaisieMolly · 08/12/2019 16:14

For those that are getting nausea, how far along are you?

Still no real symptoms over here but only about 5 weeks based on ovulation date. Perhaps even earlier as Clearblue weeks is still showing 2-3 weeks (altho perhaps not completely accurate). Anyone else still testing using Clearblue and not got to 3+ yet?

Got some work and friends Xmas parties coming up over the next week and that’s going to be hard to get through! I’m usually partial to a few rum and cokes Xmas Smile

NamiSwan · 08/12/2019 16:19

@MaisieMolly I'm 5+6 and only started getting nausea on Friday, I had nothing at all until then and then suddenly it just hit me. But some women don't get it at all! With both my previous pregnancies I got it around 6 weeks and lasted until about 16 weeks so I'm guessing I'm in for the long haul

Dragonfly909 · 08/12/2019 16:55

@em012 sorry to here your news :(

I've only posted once just after BFP, congrats everyone on yours! I'm now deep into symptoms, bloated, constant nausea, pains, headaches, massive boobs, had to buy new bras yesterday 😆 also I usually have a very sweet tooth and it's gone, would be good health news but now all I want is crisps...

I'm 6.1 and booked in to see midwife in Jan. Having read about early scans I think I will go for one, don't feel confident telling anyone the news at Christmas (we are planning to tell a couple of relatives who can help us cover up my not drinking and potential puking haha) with what feels like no proof there even is a baby 😩 I've only done those cheap tests you dip in wee, all positive but varying shades of lines. I think I'd rather invest in a scan than more tests though... 🤔

Dragonfly909 · 08/12/2019 17:03

@CrazyCoonz haha I also I have to keep eating (super bland foods) every couple of hours as that seems to stop the nausea. Good excuse to feast tho Grin

Anyone getting a stitch feeling when they move suddenly or, for example, their cat jumps on them in bed Blush? I looked it up and it said it can happen if you make a sudden movement as the ligaments are stretching...

Jojo19834 · 08/12/2019 17:16

@dragonfly909 I do!!! I get it if I sneeze, cough roughly or (TMI) pass wind (side effect of pregnancy lol). Glad it’s normal, had it yesterday getting up sharply from a chair at my parents and had a tiny panic!

@Em012 really sorry it hasn’t stuck around this time, wishing you all the best for coming months

sezzywoowoo21 · 08/12/2019 17:56

@Em012 so sorry for your loss couldn’t imagine how u must be feeling but please be positive and fingers crossed it happens for you soon...I’ve got another scan on the 16th as they couldn’t see baby only sac I’m praying it’s cos I’m early but not too sure as don’t feel pregnant at all Xxx

Jojo19834 · 08/12/2019 18:16

@sezzywoowoo21 neither do I and think it’s normal at this point so don’t panic

jennielm · 08/12/2019 19:32

My symptoms started about a week or so ago with nausea and aching boobs which haven’t gone away, and I’m only either 3+6 or 4 +1! Eeeeeeeek; doesn’t bode well for morning sickness. Have now done 9 tests, 3 were obviously too early and were negative but 6 positive tests since Friday. Got 3 internet cheapies And one CB weeks one left...may but more as still in total disbelief and not letting myself get excited yet...it’s so hard though; thinking about having a 5 month old next Christmas etc...too many emotions keeping me up at night!!

I hope everyone else is doing ok? Love and baby dust Flowers

jennielm · 08/12/2019 19:35

@mrsC105 how are you doing? Been thinking about you.

CrazyCoonz · 08/12/2019 19:54

@MaisieMolly I'm 5+1 today but I first vomited at 9 dpo and that was what made me take an early test and got a faint positive. Have since been nauseous when on an empty stomach and being a passenger in the car but no more actual sickness.

@Dragonfly909 I'm on a lot of toast at the moment, can't get enough of the stuff. Also totally gone off eggs. My husband had a fried egg yesterday and I made him move to the other side of the room as I couldn't stand the smell!

blackpinkinyourarea · 08/12/2019 21:20

@Em012 i'm really sorry for your loss :( xx

Has anyone else been having period aches in their uterus and thighs? I wouldnt describe is as cramps necessarily but its the type of ache i get when on my period. I was woken up this morning with it particularly badly. It seems to be worse when i need to pee but not sure if thats a coincidence. I know cramping is normal but this type of ache i wouldnt class as a cramp so not sure what to think. Thats the only really symptom iv had as well and its not the most reassuring one!!

Dollywilde · 08/12/2019 21:36

Just got my BFP today! Due 17 August by my calculations.

So far I’ve had some dull cramps and achey boobs and at the moment I feel really thirsty but nothing too extreme...

Will have a little read through the thread to see what you’ve all been chatting about so far and hopefully get to know you all a bit better over the next few months. Not sure how to handle my work Xmas party on Thursday so at the moment tips to disguise not drinking will be useful...

jdy123 · 08/12/2019 21:59

@Em012 hey! I remember at 4 weeks I had this pain, felt like period cramp pain in top of thigh and had back pain at same time too. I'm 6 weeks now

Girlinglasses · 08/12/2019 22:25

@blackpinkinyourarea so glad it's not just me! I've had this too, particularly when I need the loo. I have just googled it and it's a real thing! Your uterus is super sensitive when pregnant, even this early, so anything that stimulates it can cause mild cramping - that apparently includes full bladder! It also says it's nothing to worry about and totally normal Smile

Jojo19834 · 09/12/2019 05:16

@Dollywilde welcome and congratulations! You’ll see a few Christmas party tricks mentioned earlier in the thread. I’m going to think of something that requires me not to drink (like an op) as mine is a Thursday afternoon and have Friday off. I work in London so the driving excuse is never available, unless I urgently need to drive somewhere on the Thursday eve now.....

PandaPink · 09/12/2019 06:25

Does anybody else feel slightly hungover? Constantly the last few days ive felt like this. Lastnight dinner was a real struggle. I'm wondering if its anxiety. I don't feel rubbish but don't feel 100% great either x

MrsC105 · 09/12/2019 08:13

@jennielm started bleeding heavy saturday so it didn't stick :( thanks for asking xx

LanieM87 · 09/12/2019 08:19

So sorry @Em012 and @MrsC105 thinking of you both x

jennielm · 09/12/2019 08:33

Oh @MrsC105 I’m so sorry for your loss. I do hope you find peace and hope.xx

MrsC105 · 09/12/2019 08:35

@jennielm thank you xx

Frazzlerock · 09/12/2019 09:07

I am so so sorry @Em012 and @MrsC105
If you need a chat/rant about how utterly shit things are, then feel free to PM me. I've been there, done that etc several times so can give you some solidarity if you need it xx

Sjacey · 09/12/2019 09:41

@blackpinkinyourarea I’ve been getting period like cramps every evening for the last week I think I’m about 5 weeks but not entirely sure untill I have a scan, nice to know others are experiencing the same as it is a common symptom as I don’t remember the symptoms I had with my son 11 years ago! All I know is I didn’t have any sickness praying I’ll be that lucky again lol xx
