hello ladies. i'm 15+5 and i'm pretty sure i'm feeling baby the last few days and today. i like the feeling. my 16w midwife appointment is on Monday and i'll be pretty upset if she doesn't attempt to listen to the heartbeat😐.

my 20w scan is on 2nd jan.

i must say i've got my energy back and almost no sickness - i feel human again.

Emmacb82 · 28/11/2019 16:23

My placenta is at the front this time so I’m a bit disappointed that I won’t feel anything just yet, can’t wait to feel those first kicks!
I’ve had quite a few headaches throughout this pregnancy so far but have been lucky with no other real symptoms. Just struggling a bit with tiredness as I do night shifts and then switch back to days and finding it quite hard. Just so grateful to be in this position though so trying to stay positive!

Raindancer411 · 28/11/2019 17:19

Just had my flu jab and they got me to book me in for the whooping cough one in January. I had neither of these with my first...

mintbear · 28/11/2019 18:00

@Lady7978
I totally hear you.
I'm 18 weeks today and my experience has been very similar.
I was on cyclizine but I was still sick on it, after my 16 week appointment my midwife said ondansetron was best so the doctors put me on that. I have to say it is much, much better.
I have severe reactions to smells/foods, I was walking the other day and someone was clearing leaves and that set me off.
I've cancelled all social events as I just end up throwing up in someone's loo/ dread the smell of food (which I won't eat anyway) /their perfume/ their pets - it's all too much.

My work have been very flexible and understanding but I still have the same workload so it is stressful.
You might find it gets better soon, I'd like to say I'm on the other side of it but some women are like this the whole way through, although I am hopeful it'll still get better. So far it's been nothing but miserable.

Sunshine8888 · 28/11/2019 19:12

I’m so sorry to those suffering sickness so badly and with no appetite. I have the exact opposite problem in that I cannot stop eating. I am so so hungry all the time!! It’s like my stomach is constantly empty 🙈

mrsf1204 · 28/11/2019 22:47

Oh I found you all!! I was hoping there was a new thread! Hi all 👋🏼 I hope everyone is doing ok. Sickness is still occasionally creeping in for me at nearly 16 weeks, think I felt some butterflies last week but nothing since, think this is normal? Glad to have found you guys again!

facevalue · 28/11/2019 23:52

@mrsf1204 so glad you found us. we r the same due date i think and i've been feeling flutters too

how is bump growing? i literally can't wear any of my trousers or PJ bottoms

it's week 3 of this cough / cold and i choke when i fall asleep - makes me think it's the position and taking an antacid helps

i told my manager today but 4 of the girls at work told me ? how far gone r u? 😂😂😂 as if i could hide it anymore

mintbear · 29/11/2019 08:22

Black Friday deals ladies..
I'll post any deals I spot

I've just got a maxi cosi pebble plus and an angel care ac327 monitor for £191 - both on offer at amazon, monitor was a lightning deal, then I added them to an amazon Baby wish list to get an extra 10% off.

CharlieB93 · 29/11/2019 10:25

Morning all, hope you are ok and looking forward to the weekend!
I've got a pet peeve at the minute, i'm sprouting random little hairs all over my head. I look like i'm growing another fringe at the front and there's little wispy ones all over the rest of my head. Its making me SO self conscious - I did know this could happen in pregnancy but OMG not this bad!

Sunshine8888 · 29/11/2019 13:25

My current issue is sore nipples. I mean my boobs have hurt since I found out I was pregnant but the nipples soreness is a whole new level. It honestly feels like I’ve burnt them or rubbed them raw and they hurt even when I’m not touching them! 😬 is anyone else suffering with this?!

CharlieB93 · 29/11/2019 13:35

@sunshine8888 oooh I’ve not experienced that.

Since we are anonymous and you’ll probs it never find out who I am, I have no qualms with telling you a found a black hair growing out mine the other day 😁

facevalue · 29/11/2019 14:08

@Sunshine8888 my nipples are extremely sensitive in a good way 😂 i can orgasm just feeling the t shirt rubbing ( TMI) haha

@charlieB93 haha join the club! it's all hormones- i have more than one and are long so i've just pulled them out

CharlieB93 · 29/11/2019 14:54

@facevalue I feel like I’ve been short changed re nipple sensitivity now! 😂

Sunshine8888 · 29/11/2019 16:50

@facevalue @CharlieB93 me too!! I have pain, not pleasure!

Nutsty25 · 29/11/2019 19:27

@May2311 I know the waiting is frustrating I feel like I’m constantly waiting for the next appointment 😂

I had my 16weeks app earlier this week and I got to hear the heartbeat ❤️ Did you get to hear yours today?

May2311 · 29/11/2019 19:41

@Nutsty25 I know it's completely wishing our lives away counting down to next one haha!

No I didn't get to hear it 😢 she doesn't do it till next appointment which is 24 weeks! Tbh it felt like another form filling appointment- the only thing she checked was my urine and blood pressure. I didn't have any bloods or weight check etc. She asked me to explain about the feeling I have been having as I said I couldn't tell if I could feel baby. When I explained she said it's definitely baby by what I've said so I was pleased about that!! What else happened at your 16 week appointment? Xxx

Nutsty25 · 29/11/2019 19:50

Mine was pretty much the same apart from hearing the heartbeat. When I had my bloods done at 8 weeks I got told I had antibodies in them so had to have my bloods taken a few extra times and was finally told the antibodies have gone which was good!

I don’t know if I’ve felt the baby move yet, when it does I imagine it makes it feel more real!

sazzlerazzle · 29/11/2019 20:24

@May2311 my appointment was the same, just urine and blood pressure. But it sounds like everything is going well and if there was any cause for concern then I’m sure your midwife would do further checks :)

Helensss · 29/11/2019 20:38

@facevalue mine are like that too! I’m very sensitive everywhere 😂 husband feeling very pleased with himself but it’s the pregnancy rather than him 🤣 (won’t tell him that though!)

facevalue · 29/11/2019 20:45

@helensss hehe maybe it's a sign these babies will be daddies boys/ girls

Sunshine8888 · 29/11/2019 20:53

I can’t believe there is a due in August 2020 group now. It’s lovely to share this journey with you all x

facevalue · 29/11/2019 21:28

@sunshine8888 😳 is that a sex group! is a baby even conceived yet!

Helensss · 29/11/2019 21:56

@Sunshine8888 I know it’s crazy how far we’ve come 😊😊

Moongirl10 · 29/11/2019 22:13

@Lady7978 I was the same around 13 weeks, mostly with the constant headaches. I even had to take a couple of days off work because of them. I’m 15 weeks now and it’s definitely improved so hoping yours does too!

Raindancer411 · 30/11/2019 01:01

@facevalue I knew I was due in August with my first by beginning to middle of November, so it will defiantly be a due group 😆
