@Sunshine8888 - I looked at the evie, but reviews say it doesnt hold much, you have to have 2 really and they need recharging after virtually every use. So going to give it a miss I think.

Looking at prams here. Think we are going to get a Mountain buggy, as anything with small front wheels will be useless where we live (hills, snow, off-road). They had around 15-20% discount during black friday deals, so hoping to get similar in boxing day sales and if so will order.

Raindancer411 · 21/12/2019 09:05

I am 18 weeks and a few days and haven't really felt any movement yet. The palpations are driving me mad though...

Buggy wise not sure yet

facevalue · 21/12/2019 09:30

@rosewater20 i'm glad you got checked. i wasn't able to relax until i heard that heart. this morning lots of kicking - i'm 19 weeks😍.

@sao81 i needed it x thanks

Purple29 · 21/12/2019 09:51

@Raindancer411 I'm exactly the same as you 18+4 and not felt much, my placenta is at the front tho and I have been feeling some pops so think it's starting!!! We are hoping to plan baby number 2 quite quickly after this one so I have been looking at the nuna demi grow, looks really good and can adapt to a double if we get lucky.

Hello ladies sorry not posted in a while. I am now 20 +5 and everything is looking great. Cervical stitch is doing its job. I had my 20 week scan on 17th and everything looks perfect there and definitely a boy. He was using my bladder as a pillow and moving so much but into the right positions for measurements.

My cervical length consultant said is perfect so next is growth scans from 28 weeks plus GTT test aswell. Am starting to feel proper movements but he seems to love my pelvis area as there is where I am feeling all movements at the minute. Really starting to show now aswell. These pics are from my 20 week scan.

Hope all you ladies are doing ok.

@Caspianberg yeah I was looking at the double pump, very pricey though!

GinUnicorn · 21/12/2019 11:46

@fluffyunicorns86 lovely pics and congratulations! Glad all seems to be going smoothly.

@facevalue my midwife basically said a few small glasses here and there won’t do any harm just not excessively. I think a glass for Christmas is fine!

@november90 sorry to hear you are worrying. If it puts your mind at rest give them a call but I wouldn’t panic at this stage. Swollen feet could just be the cold weather

GinUnicorn · 21/12/2019 11:47

@woollycat re the pain management most birthing centres are attached to hospitals so you could always start there and transfer.

However there is no shame in needing pain relief so just do what works for you Flowers

Sunshine8888 · 21/12/2019 12:02

@facevalue my midwife says a unit a week is absolutely fine - I’ve had the odd glass of champagne in second trimester and will continue with her blessing ☺️

sao81 · 21/12/2019 12:41

@sunshine8888 if only a bottle of baileys was 1 unit 😂 might get a mini and treat myself

facevalue · 21/12/2019 13:01

@sunshine8888 @ginunicorn i had 3 glasses this week but none before 😬

GinUnicorn · 21/12/2019 14:29

@facevalue in fairness most studies show light drinking throughout pregnancy is fine but the medical recommendations are always lower to avoid abuse. You’ll be fine Flowers

Sunshine8888 · 21/12/2019 15:25

It’s fine! Imagine how much our parents and grandparents used to drink without all this online guidance and we turned out ok 😂

facevalue · 21/12/2019 15:51

@sunshine8888 hell ya .. i'm awesome 🙄😬

Sunshine8888 · 21/12/2019 16:14

Those that already have babies, do you have any essentials / recommendations for things I cannot live without please? I’m trying to make a spreadsheet of everything I need and then hit the January sales

sazzlerazzle · 21/12/2019 16:31

Hello everyone, not checked in for a while but loving catching up on scan and gender news. Welcome to new joiners too!

Sorry that some of you are still struggling with headaches :(

I’m almost 21+6 and in just a couple of weeks my bump has gone from modest to can’t-be-hidden! Had our scan a couple of weeks ago but didn’t find out the gender :)

GinUnicorn · 21/12/2019 19:12

@Sunshine8888 essentials nappies, baby grows muslin clothes, bath thermometer, nappy cream, wipes, baby bath, and easy snacks for you! I recommend a decent supply of cookies

Pastnowfuture · 21/12/2019 20:01

@fluffyunicorns86 Glad to hear things went well for you!

facevalue · 21/12/2019 21:16

weird cravings!

my baby is making me eat BUTTER sandwiches and drink wild berries tea!

anyone else enjoying things they didn't in the past?!

sao81 · 21/12/2019 21:17

@facevalue my auntie told me her and my mum were out dancing on the tables drunk 8 months gone with me and my cousin, and we turned out ok 😂 sometimes its needed

@Sunshine8888 flannels! More for you than baby, they'll come in handy for a week or so after the birth when going the loo, takes any sting away from stitches. Baby sleeping bags, a tonne of bibs/muslin clothes and a nappy bin will really come in handy if you are on fortnightly bin collections like I am

Clairesoph · 21/12/2019 22:14

@facevalue butter sandwiches have been a favourite, has to be proper butter though mmmmm

facevalue · 21/12/2019 22:26

@clairesoph i'm on the lurpak butter lovely and salty🥵

Bigbear123 · 22/12/2019 12:13

Hi everyone, I'm 18 weeks this week. Does anyone know a good app to listen to baby's heartbeat? Thanks

Raindancer411 · 22/12/2019 12:39

@Bigbear123 You will need a Doppler really. I heard the fone apps are a scam and just make you think the sound they play is your babies heart beat.

Herewego2020 · 22/12/2019 16:03

Hi guys, well I had my 20 week scan Thursday.. my mum knows the gender.. we don't till Christmas day. She managed to stay very composed which for her is very hard lol. Baby is so active, sometimes even hurts and today we even saw a kick! Baby is growing healthy, I'm still convinced it's a boy which is fine as I have 2 and I'm used to Marvel, play fights, lego and general chaos.. I think lol!
I have been thinkng about birth too and hoping to have baby on the Midwife led birth unit 😊.
