@CharlieB93 I’m the same! 19+3 and only a tiny bump, people wouldn’t really know unless they know me. I think was bigger at the beginning with all the bloat I think then it seemed to shrink xx

Emmacb82 · 19/12/2019 08:06

Ugh I couldn’t reply last night as I was sitting in the dark with an awful headache. Have had quite a few of them, seems like I’m not the only one unfortunately. Paracetamol doesn’t seem to touch it and I don’t really like taking anything. Can still feel it this morning but not as bad.
Waiting impatiently for Xmas eve so I can hear baby’s heartbeat. No movement so am starting to get a bit anxious again.

facevalue · 19/12/2019 08:36

hello ladies .. nice to see more scan pics .. my scan on 2 jan but all of a sudden i don't feel pregnant since yesterday morning! 😭😭😭 my bump which was tight and sticking up has gone all soft and i was feeling many kicks now i'm not sure i felt much 😢 i'm 18 +3 weeks .... tell me i'm being silly😢

facevalue · 19/12/2019 08:40

@abbiew29 welcome. i found NCT extremely helpful and most importantly u meet couples that are expecting the same time as you and you make friends to go for walks and attend baby classes xxx go for it.. i booked NCT again it's my second

abbiew29 · 19/12/2019 08:47

@facevalue - thank you for the advice I'll have a look into it! My friend recommended mush mums aswell for meeting new mums.

If your not feeling any movement or are worried ring your maternity unit - better to be safe then sorry!

I stopped growing about week 18 but the hospital reckon it's because he's sat in my hip so until he moved up I have the bump to match the fluid level but not the baby size ? Don't know if that makes sense? - I'm hoping he'll move soon! Xx

CharlieB93 · 19/12/2019 09:00

@facevalue ooh scan buddies! My 20 week scan is also on the 2nd!

facevalue · 19/12/2019 10:32

@CharlieB93 let's do it!

@abbiew29 mush is ok- very hit and miss depends where u live.. used it before we moved and had loads of meet ups and lovely mums. we moved and honestly i met some very weird mums so i deleted it😳.

abbiew29 · 19/12/2019 10:50

@facevalue oh really? - I might give that one a miss then 😂 thank you!

Do any of you know what you what your having yet?

Xx

GinUnicorn · 19/12/2019 16:55

I’m trying NCT refresher this time as in a new area.

I found Mush pretty miss to be honest...

Sunshine8888 · 19/12/2019 17:04

I’ve signed up for NCT classes, they start end of feb.

@abbiew29 welcome, I’m nearly 21 weeks pregnant with a little girl 💝

GinUnicorn · 19/12/2019 17:27

@Sunshine8888

I am dying to know the sex! I have to wait until Jan 2nd aaah!

Having major girl vibes though.

Anyone decided where they are giving birth. I’m hoping for a home birth all being well

Niki93 · 19/12/2019 19:00

Ive not signed up to NTC classes but my local hospital has a midwifery led birthing unit (no consultants) so im doing their own antenatal classes. Ive chose to go have baby at that unit too because fingers crossed if it goes straight forward then apparently its great as its less intervention, smaller ward, un crowded, partners can stay over, hypnobirthing rooms and pools so thats my choice. I wouldnt feel confident enough for a home birth. Plus its less than a 3 min drive in the car! What about everyone elses birth choice? Xx

abbiew29 · 19/12/2019 19:25

@sunshine8888

Congratulations on the girl 💗 I'm 21 weeks with a boy - I was happy about the boy as my partner already has 2 girls so thought a boy rounded us all off nicely 😁

Ladies I haven't really thought 2 much into the birth really as a lot of people I've known wanted water births with there kids but it didn't happen. I am trying really hard not to think about the birth because I don't want to panic and he has to come out one way or another and anything I do to try and plan it will probably go out the window knowing my luck! Xx

facevalue · 19/12/2019 21:20

@GinUnicorn the 3 of us in 2nd jan!

ladies that are feeling movements ( i was feeling it clearly) but it's the 2nd day that i'm not sure i felt any... when should i worry ?! 🙄🙄🙄

GinUnicorn · 19/12/2019 21:23

@facevalue scan buddies yay! I’m stupidly excited but a bit nervous. I haven’t felt much so just want to know all is okay.

I’m hoping for a home birth this time (with a hired water pool) I have rapid labour - first labour was four hours so think I’d be better off staying put!

sao81 · 19/12/2019 21:35

Just to let everyone know, if you're close to a mothercare. I have just got a bedside crib, bedding and a swinging chair for £160. They also had pram/car seat combos for around £180! Might be worth going to you local store as everything is limited online now

facevalue · 20/12/2019 14:22

😳i know it's silly. i did go to the midwife and had my baby's heart beat checked 😍 lovely. i'm more relaxed now.

i'm out for a xmas dinner / friend's baby shower tonight

i've already had a glass of wine on monday and again last night😳 i fancy a glass tonight! i havnt drank otherwise this pregnancy - is it bad!

hope u all have a wonderful weekend

sao81 · 20/12/2019 15:05

@facevalue i always say any doubt get checked even if its just for peace of mind! I had the odd few glasses last time I was pregnant in 2nd trimester, nothing regular but a glass at family weddings/concerts, as long as its not excessive! I'm reappy craving baileys atm with it being Christmas 🙈

woollycat · 20/12/2019 15:35

Regarding birth options - I am worried about pain as I don't handle pain very well generally. So I am thinking I might want strong pain relief, eg an epidural, so I am considering going with a hospital ward birth as opposed to a birthing centre.

november90 · 20/12/2019 17:52

Girls are anyone's else's feet starting to swell? In my last pregnancy my feet were ginormous towards the end! Today I woke up with numb feet and they were a bit tingly when raised whilst I was having some physio on my neck and I just feel like they are quite soar and numb :(
Trying not to freak out about pre eclampsia again as I had a bad headache yesterday and when I blew my nose today there was a teeny tiny bit of blood :(

november90 · 20/12/2019 17:52

** soar and a lightly swollen!!

sao81 · 20/12/2019 21:09

@november90 do you have a number for your local maternity assessment unit, or weekend midwife team? Id ring them and explain whats going on for reassurance

november90 · 20/12/2019 21:55

@sao81 I do have a number but I am just trying to avoid ringing them until I need too as I don't want to panic! In my last pregnancy I really got held up on pre eclampsia as I had high blood pressure and very swollen and I was absolutely fine in the end but the worry ruined the end of my pregnancy. I think and hope I'm over thinking it! I've been a bit run down and my sons had a cold so I think that probably explains the congestion... but I'll keep an eye of my feet :(

rosewater20 · 20/12/2019 22:35

@facevalue glad you feel better after getting check out. I went in today too because I hadn't felt movement for over 24 hours. My doctor was lovely and did a scan, and all was well, and she told me that I shouldn't feel consistent movement until the baby is a least a pound. I felt better knowing it was normal and seeing him moving around (which I couldn't feel) in there.

Sunshine8888 · 20/12/2019 23:48

My baby has been very active today - kicking a lot! ☺️ Went to look at prams with my mum. I like the uppababy vista but it’s so expensive. I am considering buying secondhand...

anyone tried the Elvie breast pump??
