@sao81 yes I have but not to the same extent as you. Hope the Dr can help

Niki93 · 18/12/2019 13:11

@sao81 hi. Ive had literally exactly the same kind of headaches.

Mine get really intense and i feel a painful pulse at right side of my head, near my temple which travels around my right eye/eyebrow and all that helps me relieve it is sleep and paracetamol. Ive been told it could be potential migraines (but ive never suffered them before so i wouldnt know how to compare it to one. They last me hours aswell. I had one yesterday and i was floored in bed trying to nap for hours. Ive been told its likely just the fact my hormones are surging at the minute, im 19+3 weeks. I hope you get help, i didnt get much xxx

CharlieB93 · 18/12/2019 13:33

Is anyone panicking that they aren't getting a bump?

I'm 18+3 and i look no different... My trousers are a bit tighter but that's about it! I don't know whether i should be concerned? Everyone keeps asking where my bump is!

Caspianberg · 18/12/2019 13:45

@CharlieB93 - my bump appeared overnight at about 19 weeks, before that nothing. Now 21 weeks and its a def small bump but still not huge (and baby is measuring 98/99% for everything!)

Herewego2020 · 18/12/2019 13:48

Hi everyone.. again it's been forever since I was on here.. it's been hectic at home! CONGRATS on all the genders, so exciting. Was meant to move house but the move got moved to jan due to weather so we living surrounded by boxes 😅. I had been suffering so badly with headaches I went doctors in tears. They seem to have eased up and I'm even back in the gym which has cheered me up.
Have 20 week scan tomo BUT we wont know gender till Christmas day when we unwrap box of balloons.. so my mum will be the only person to be told tomorrow. We are convinced another boy and oh even talks to my tummy as a boy 🙄 and went as far as telling his friends that's it's a boy 😅. We have names for both boy or girl. We disagreed a bit on middle names for boy but I managed to win lol. Love to all

Herewego2020 · 18/12/2019 13:52

@sao81 I had them so badly exactly how you described. They made me sick. I went doctors and they gave me codeine which in all fact has never agreed with me but helped. I seem to be okay now, 20 weeks. Soon as I feel a headache coming I avoid chocolate and anything else which makes them worse. I feel your pain... they are awful

GinUnicorn · 18/12/2019 14:00

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing okay. Finally have a scan booked beginning of January. Excited and weirdly convinced it’s a girl already.

CharlieB93 · 18/12/2019 14:08

@Caspianberg thank you for replying, hopefully mine will appear next week then! It wasn't bothering me until people started mentioning it!

woollycat · 18/12/2019 14:39

@CharlieB93 I am 17+6 and only started looking a bit fuller 3 days ago. But you still can't tell in normal clothing, and it doesn't look like a bump, just looks like bloat. I am expecting it will start looking like a bump in the next 2 weeks!

CharlieB93 · 18/12/2019 15:04

@woollycat that’s exactly the same as me, I look like I’ve had a really big meal 😂 I’m also quite lanky so I think my bump is stretched out if that makes any sense

sao81 · 18/12/2019 15:38

@Raindancer411 thank you xx

@niki93 @Herewego2020 its horrendous isnt it! Doctor has said she thinks its exhaustion, been told to rest and if no better by end of next week more bloods to rule out any deficiency, said it sounds like a combo of stess headaches and migraines. I have had a long month though, hypermesis, spd, pneumonia, a UTI and my daughter being in hospital with flu and a chest infection so she said shes exhuasted just listening to me 😂 throw in a full time job, 2 year old and christmas think its just worn me out. Lots of rest now until the big day next week I think. I have some codeine so will give that a go and see if it helps xx

sao81 · 18/12/2019 15:39

@Herewego2020 we are also doing a christmas day gender reveal! But we are getting a balloon from the scan clinic, so we wont find out until the day with our family

Niki93 · 18/12/2019 15:52

@sao81 glad you got it sorted. Have a chill out before Christmas. Im currently on antibiotics for a kidney infection/uti so i plan on doing the same before the chaos! Xx

mrsf1204 · 18/12/2019 16:00

@sao81 and @Herewego2020 yes my headaches are awful! I am prone to them anyway and was seeing an osteopath prior to our wedding in April and she certainly helped. They went away until I got pregnant! Mine have been making me feel so low and left me in tears most days. I went to the doctor and they gave me codeine and anti sickness tablets but oh my god I was so sick on all of that. So I am now relying on a 4head stick - in all honesty it is the only thing I have found to work!

sao81 · 18/12/2019 17:15

@Niki93 hope you feel better soon!

@mrsf1204 ive been on antisickness for hypermesis but they just knock me out so I sleep for hours, got codiene for my spd but dont like taking it around my daughter as again makes me drowsy, can you get the sticks from anywhere? Will have to give it a go

mintbear · 18/12/2019 17:51

Hey all,
Re the bump chat, I've had a huge bump since about wk 10. I'm 21 wks tomorrow and yesterday I stood next to someone who is due next month and my bump was bigger.
I've been really worried about it, I've been in tears about it and desperately trying to cover it up as I feel embarrassed which is really sad.
I'm trying to come to terms with the fact we are all different. Big bump, small bump, no bump, there is no 'normal' just your bump.
What is definitely not helpful are comments from other people on your body. Someone mentioned people saying 'where's your bump' - that is not helpful and neither are comments like 'you're enormous'.
Honestly, people need training on the dos and don'ts when it comes to pregnant women, so many faux pas.

mintbear · 18/12/2019 17:58

@sao81 can I ask which meds you're on for anti sickness? I was on cit....something and that made me drowsy. Then I want onto ondansetron, which was amazing for sickness but caused the worst constipation ever - to the point where I'd rather be sick all the time then go through that. I'm now on metoclopramide which isn't as good as ondansetron but doesn't have the bag side effects, although it does make me feel groggy.

sao81 · 18/12/2019 19:39

@mintbear I was on cyclazine and couldnt tolerate them, so was on tablet form Prochlorperazine which i just threw up, so got disolvable version and they worked amazing for stopping the sickness but again did make me sleepy. Think thats a side effect for most tbh, got to the point where I'd rather sleep than be sick🙈

mintbear · 18/12/2019 19:44

@sao81 seems to be they all have some side effect. I'm restricted on what I can take as I have also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes which sucks.
I had hoped it might turn a corner by now (21 wks) but I think it's here to stay, there is still hope tho. How far along are you? People do say each pregnancy is different so it might not be the same if there is a next time.

May2311 · 18/12/2019 20:09

@mintbear I am exactly the same re huge bump- first baby and strangers already make comments and that's with me wearing baggy clothes! I'm only 19 weeks tomorrow. I was pretty worried to begin with but then I just think we are all different and as long as baby is cooking nicely in there that's all that matters 😊

CharlieB93 · 18/12/2019 20:18

@mintbear I couldn’t agree more, we have enough to worry about without people pointing unhelpful things out. I was blissfully unaware that apparently you normally have a bump at this stage!

sao81 · 18/12/2019 21:55

@mintbear oh no sounds like you're having a tough time. I'm 17+2 and the sickness has eased off now, just my hips giving me grief instead! I didn't have any sickness with my first but really taking its toll on me this time round 😥 have they gave you anything for the diabetes?

Sunshine8888 · 19/12/2019 01:05

I didn’t really have a bump until about 19 weeks, it’s slowly growing now!

Sleep is quite disrupted at the moment, trying out pregnancy pillow which is comfy but it takes some getting used to!

Clairesoph · 19/12/2019 07:39

My first bump didn't show until nearly 24 weeks, I went to my 20 weeks scan flat as a pancake and feeling like a right faker - wasn't convinced I was even pregnant! This time, we'll, you saw my pic!!! Huge at 17 weeks but also makes me laugh when I read "baby is the size of an apricot" combination of Christmas diet and the body remembering I think 🤣🤣🤣Everyone's different!

abbiew29 · 19/12/2019 07:42

Hey ladies can I join in?

I am 21 weeks today 😀 I'm due 30th April but I've just got a feeling he's going to be here in May!

I am 29 years old, my other half is 40, were engaged. He's has 2 daughters both teenagers and this is my first. Finally he's managed to produce a boy!

He is very calm about the pregnancy and my female friends don't really have children or they do but their kids are 7 so don't really get it anymore. Some days I am fine about it and not to fussed other days I want to scream as I have no clue what I'm doing! - no1 recommends antenatal classes as they say "your motherly instinct kicks in" & as for the breathing well when your in labour you don't pay attention to that so I'm a bit put off them really. What's your thoughts?
