@mrsf1204 i looked at the jeans in ASOS and i was worried they r more for slim / small bum and hips body shape. did you receive the order? is it stretchy? i'm basically asking for maternity clothes for xmas. i don't want any other crap if i'm honest🙄😳🎅🏼🌲

Bigbear123 · 02/12/2019 19:09

Hi everyone,

I'm joining this thread as I'll be due in May 2020. 16 weeks pregnant with our first baby. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all xx

123Pandy · 02/12/2019 20:24

Hi everyone!
Whoever mentioned bad headaches...i feel your pain. Can't seem to get anything done for the past week because of them!

Also - has anyone been advised to wear wire free bras? Was told that wearing a bra with an underwire might restrict growth of the boobs 😳

Caspianberg · 02/12/2019 20:31

Hi. Have my 20 week scan on Thursday, haven't found out gender yet.

Bump appeared almost overnight about 10 days ago. Bought some under bump jeans from Seraphine. They are really good, and were the only ones i could find that weren't overbump (which only seem helpful with a huge bump).

@123Pandy - I'm wearing non-wire, as any with wire are so uncomfy right now.

november90 · 02/12/2019 21:08

So after really suffering with these headaches severely the past week or so I've been to the doctors and the Opticians and had a ultrasound on my actual eye balls at hospital (😩😩😩) and I've been booked in for an urgent MRI scan tomorrow. Feeling stressed. I need to be ok so my baby is ok :(
Don't know the point of writing this on here.... just feeling fed up!

facevalue · 02/12/2019 22:23

@123Pandy yessss! definitely no wires here and if u plan to breastfeed then invest in comfy wireless ones.

@november90 you poor thing. i had headaches earlier in the pregnancy and i hated every minute. i hope the MRI reassures you and they figure out a good painkiller that works for you x hugs

@Caspianberg i love my over bump old trousers i used them until at least 6 months after baby because i had a C section and didn't like anything rubbing on the scar. i'm back in those and desperately want the exact same ones. i looked at the underbump ones but i think my arse with jump out if no supper to hold them up. ladies with small bums and thigh are so lucky to find trousers easier and cheaper!

sazzlerazzle · 02/12/2019 22:38

@123Pandy I’ve honestly never heard that and a properly fitted bra shouldn’t cause you any issue, wired not. You might find as your boobs and bump gets bigger though that a wired one just isn’t comfortable anymore? I’m switching between the two at the money spending on how I’m feeling and what outfit I’m wearing.

Welcome to the group @Bigbear123 will you be finding out what you’re having?

@november90 the point of having a grumble on here is because we’re all in this together! Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time with headaches but I’m glad they’re taking it seriously and doing proper checks. Baby will be none the wiser about it all, don’t worry about that x

mrsf1204 · 02/12/2019 23:26

@facevalue yep I've got three pairs now they are awesome! Honestly so comfy. I'm a curvey 12, was a 10 pre pregnancy and they fit me perfectly xx

Lady7978 · 03/12/2019 05:12

Thanks ladies @May2311 @mintbear @Moongirl10 xx
I'm seeing my GP on Wednesday. Hopefully, it all gets sorted.

Exciting to know people are finding out gender. I've booked a gender scan for 2 weeks time. I asked the question about accuracy and the lady said 99.9%. Something to look forward to!

Lady7978 · 03/12/2019 05:15

@november90 oh, please let it all out. I hope you're sorted out soon. Xxx

kstann · 03/12/2019 07:56

Hi all, I've not posted for a while!

Now 18 weeks and have a private abnormality/ 20 week scan booked in Friday 😬🤞🏼

@123Pandy I went to M&S just after first trimester as none of my bras were fitting me and I read it's advisable to go at the end of the first and then as the milk comes in as you go into the third 🤷🏼‍♀️
I had gone up a whole bra size already ! I got one of their super soft range (non wired) she said as your bump grows the non wired will stretch/ give your bump room to grow without being uncomfortable. I also got another pack of 2 which are actually nursing bras to save money / more use out of it for breast feeding (hopefully)🥰

Sunshine8888 · 03/12/2019 08:35

I’m still wearing bras with underwire but tbh I could do without my boobs getting any bigger 🙈😬 they’re still super sore, I’ve resorted to putting moisturising cream on them to try and help with the nipple pain. Just horrible! Bump wise I seem to have stayed the same size for the past few weeks and people keep saying I don’t look pregnant. On one hand I’m happy not to be big but it also makes me worry about the baby and whether she’s ok and growing 😬

november90 · 03/12/2019 08:55

Aww thank you all. I've had a headache since the beginning of my pregnancy but it's been so bad this past week, I'm really worried. I'm worried it may be the start of pre eclampsia :(

kstann · 03/12/2019 09:51

@Sunshine8888 I've always had small boobs so it's all new to me 🍈🍈 🤣🤣🤣

I have been feeling the same, I've always been a 8/10, I'm 18 weeks and some days it doesn't even look like I'm pregnant- seems to change throughout the day tho! Looking forward to my scan Friday to check everything, I got to listen to the heartbeat at 16 weeks which was loud and clear 🥰

Congratulations on having a girl. Looks like most people are finding out on here. Xx

kstann · 03/12/2019 09:53

@november90 hope everything goes okay for you today. Everything is much more worrying when youre pregnant 😘 x

Clairesoph · 03/12/2019 12:29

Living in maternity leggings and had to size up all my uniform at work too! Got measured for a new bra and Im up to a 36G - made me cry at the tiny little 18 year old beauty who had the pleasure of measuring these bad boys 😂 I never got back into wearing wired bras after I had my son haha waaaayyyy comfier without!!! I seem to filling out left right and centre but I was pregnant from my chin to my ankles with my son and sadly will never be one of these ladies with a neat bump who doesnt look pregnant from the back 🤣🤣🤣

Moonstone12 · 03/12/2019 15:14

Just back from the hospital after being sent up due to my chest infection and no baby movements.

They were brilliant. Sonographer was fab. Baby is fine and she did lots of other checks. Turns out I have an extra bit of placenta (wtf!) in the wrong place and the cord is covering the cervix so that will be checked in 2 weeks. I’m also off to see a consultant next week about my chest infection and may need further investigation!

Thank goodness for our NHS and I’m so pleased at the care I’ve been given in the last 48hrs. It was so much more than expected.
Also such a relief to see our little girl happily bouncing about on the screen x

Moonstone12 · 03/12/2019 15:15

@november90 thinking of you today. Hope all goes well xx

May2311 · 03/12/2019 16:37

@Moonstone12 that's a relief for you! It sounds like they are really looking after you which is brilliant. I really hope you start to feel better soon! Extra bit of placenta I've never heard of either - haha.

@november90 hope your ok and being looked after!

Xx

Moonstone12 · 03/12/2019 16:40

@May2311 I've resisted the urge to google the placenta thing. The sonographer was very reassuring although she did mention c-section which I really don't want! However I'll know more in 2 weeks at my anomaly scan. She told me to put it too the back of my mind.... so I'll try 😂

Reds2007 · 03/12/2019 16:52

Hi all,

hoping i can join the discussion as due on 31st May x

I'm currently 14 weeks + 2, we had our scan on the 25 Nov and everything looked good and had a very wriggly baby! This morning, I had some pink/brown discharge, I spoke with the midwife and they aren't too concerned, they said to go to A&E if I had any fresh blood or excruciating pain. I haven't had any more throughout the day and if i hadn't of looked, i wouldn't of noticed! Despite the midwife saying not worry, i can't but help worry! Has anyone had this at all?

Thank you xx

november90 · 03/12/2019 19:50

@Reds2007 hi there! Oh I'm sorry you experienced the discharge and it's still worrying you. To be honest I would be feeling the same. I don't really have an answer for you but if it was me and I was still worrying then I would go to a midwife drop in Center tomorrow as the last thing they will want is for you to be anxious and they might be able to reassure you more? I've learnt that speaking out whenever you are worried is the best thing you can do as worry will just make everything so much worse!

So I went to hospital this morning at 9am. I was told I was having a CT scan, which then got changed to a MRI scan due to risks to the baby. It was so scary and I'm SO glad I didn't have to have the ct scan in the end and a mri was sufficient as I would be so worried right now about radiation risks. Anyway they found that my main sinus gland which travels from the eyes to brain is blocked and that will be causing my issues. I've been ignoring my stuffy nose and headaches for weeks and I wish I'd gone to the doctors sooner and maybe avoided all of this! Anyway I have to be referred to a different department now to discuss what happens next. I'm gutted they found something but at the same time so unbelievably happy it's not baby related!!!! I'm such an anxious person so this has all been so traumatic to me 🙈 when I was having the MRI scan it was so loud I could feel the baby kick a bit which was so nice. They said it was perfectly safe for the baby which is good :)

november90 · 03/12/2019 19:51

Thank you for everyone's lovely comments and wishes! It really means a lot ❤️

Sunshine8888 · 03/12/2019 20:16

Glad all is well with baby @november90 xx

Moonstone12 · 03/12/2019 20:43

Glad to hear all is well with the baby @november90 and hopefully they can fix your blocked sinus thing easily so you don't have constant headaches :)

@Reds2007 if you're at all concerned speak to your midwife again. I had some very light bleeding at 15 weeks and tbh they didn't do much. The doctor examined my cervix but I had no Doppler or ultrasound. I had to go and be checked because of my bloody group and have the anti D injection. But I think if I didn't have to go in for that they wouldn't have seen me. It's a worrying time but please try and stay relaxed. And if it gets heavier go straight to hospital (my bleeding was light and pink and eventually stopped after 48hrs) xxx
