Anyone due July 2020

Hi all,

Anyone due July 2020? Sorry if I've missed a thread, done a quick search and couldn't find one...

DH and I were due to start TTC for #2 in the new year, but haven't been actively not-trying. Well something was just niggling at me over the weekend, I just 'had a feeling' if that makes sense... did an FRER yesterday and there it was! that second pink line...

I'm equal parts excited and batshit scared haha. I've not told DH yet, it's his birthday on Tuesday so going to break it to him then.

That’s amazing news @RedRobin7 I’m so pleased for you!

Dafs123 · 27/11/2019 20:43

@RedRobin7 wonderful news !!

Kiki275 · 27/11/2019 21:19

Great news @RedRobin7

After crowing about no symptoms, the bloat has officially kicked in 🐳 x

Nelbert19 · 27/11/2019 21:28

That’s great @RedRobin7, you must be over the moon!

I had a scan today too (5+2 - ruling out ectopic). No heartbeat yet, but the pregnancy sac is in the right place and HCG levels are respectable so I’m feeling better.

Also seems like DH has been doing some secret reading as he appears to know much more about the uterus and first trimester hormones than the average 32 year old man from the questions he was asking at EPAU! I was so pleased it seems to have finally sunk in!

rosamundos · 28/11/2019 00:46

Hi everyone - been hesitant to join this due to a previous missed miscarriage in July (early scan showed baby stopped growing at 7 weeks).

Currently 6+3 and due 20th July. Have a scan booked for 8 weeks as hopefully it should show whether this one will stick or not... then it’ll just be down to me worrying about the 12 week scan going wrong! God pregnancy is stressful.

Secondsop · 28/11/2019 12:55

Hello everyone, congratulations to you all. I found out I was pregnant at the weekend so although I don’t have a proper due date yet as not yet seen midwives, I’m guessing it would be July esp as I would expect to be induced at 38 weeks. I have 2 children already. I am very much taking it one day at a time as I have a history of miscarriage plus I am the grand old age of 44 (honestly thought I was done with childbearing and hurtling towards menopause so it’s been a complete shock). Risks are obvs high and a lot can go wrong for me so it really is more from hope than expectation that I’m joining a thread with the words July 2020 in but just wanted a place to share feelings and symptoms, and for some handholding.

susie12345 · 28/11/2019 20:03

@Nelbert19 just seen your information about the scan, am i being crazy for being so worried about my scan? Because mine was exactly the same as yours although they did not check HCG levels. Im so impatient and just want to have the second scan so i know if everything is ok :(
Should i be thinking that as long as im having symptoms like sore boobs and tiredness that everything is ok?
Im getting more and more tired now and starting with constipation which one one hand is great as suffer with ibs D but on the other hand i feel awful when i cant go :(
I never thought pregnancy was this hard!!

Loimor09 · 28/11/2019 20:13

Hi everyone I'm due july 26th so nervous this is my first child Grin

Nelbert19 · 28/11/2019 20:15

@susie12345 You’re not crazy, pregnancy is very anxiety inducing and the waiting is hard!

I’m reassured by my scan because that’s a normal scan for this stage (as was yours) - it doesn’t mean that I’m not SUPER impatient and excited to have a scan with a heartbeat!

You need to remember there’s 9 months of this and you’ll drive yourself round the bend always waiting for the next bit! I’m trying to take each stage and normal result as good news and not worry that the next test might be abnormal. Easier said than done!

I’m also suffering with constipation and trapped wind - not the glamorous pregnancy I was hoping for!

Nelbert19 · 28/11/2019 20:19

Congrats @Loimor09 @Secondsop and @rosamundos!

It’s my first too @Loimor09 - equally exciting and terrifying!

So sorry to hear of your previous MCs @secondsop @rosamundos. Congratulations on this pregnancy, I hope they’re sticky ones!

Mrsstarinthesky · 28/11/2019 21:42

I’m due in July with our first. Not feeling too different right now, aside from massive boobs and extreme tiredness!

Does anyone know if you can book your scan now or do you need to see the midwife first?
I’ve been to the doctors and been given a midwife appointment in a couple of weeks.
Keen to have the scan pre Christmas like most!

Nelbert19 · 28/11/2019 22:07

@mrsstarinthesky the midwife books your first scan which will be at 12 weeks - after Christmas!

The only reason the NHS will book an earlier scan is if you’re having symptoms that suggest something may be going wrong, or if you’ve had difficulties in the past.

A lot of people book a private scan because they can’t wait 12 weeks (me included!). There’s no use booking one before 7/8 weeks though because you won’t see a heartbeat so you’ll be even more anxious! Private scans cost around £70, but apparently there’s usually some deals on Groupon

Mrsstarinthesky · 28/11/2019 22:18

@Nelbert thanks, really helpful! I’ll keep an eye on groupon too!

Itsnoteasyfeelingqueasy · 28/11/2019 22:41

Hi, I’ve just joined Mumsnet I’m due 8th July with my first baby with is a total surprise!

Loimor09 · 29/11/2019 06:43

I had a scan yesterday and they could see the yolk sac I'm 5 weeks 5 days today so sounds good so far I'm booked back next week hopefully will hear a little heart beat she said

Secondsop · 29/11/2019 11:54

Great to hear good news from those of you who’ve been having scans. I don’t know if I’ll have an early one - I did last time but it hasn’t been mentioned yet this time, but I’ve got my midwife appointment on Monday so we’ll see what they say. I’m going away for Christmas so I would ideally like to know before then whether or not I will be managing a pregnancy while I’m away or whether I need to make other decisions. Good news is that my change of blood pressure meds is currently going pretty well, and my urine check yesterday had no protein in. I am worried about not feeling much in the way of symptoms - have persistent rhinitis which I don’t think is a cold (apparently I am snoring A LOT), so that’s a new symptom for me this time, and my boobs are coming and going, and ive had a bit of constipation. It’s so hard at this stage isn’t it with all the guessing.

showmewhatyougot · 29/11/2019 11:54

Random tmi question, but has anyone else got a painful vagina? It's hurting inside :S feels like sharp pressure & can feel it when I cross legs etc.

Secondsop · 29/11/2019 12:26

@showmewhatyougot
I did have that in a previous pregnancy, yes. If it’s causing you discomfort though might be worth mentioning at your next appointment?

Nelbert19 · 29/11/2019 12:31

@showmewhatyougot I saw someone on another thread refer to it as ‘fanny daggers’ 🤣

I think it’s to do with ligaments shifting. I haven’t experienced it myself, but seems to be common

showmewhatyougot · 29/11/2019 12:33

Thank you! I have my first midwife appointment Tuesday so will bring it up then if still an issue x

Fanny daggers should be the official medical term, it's perfect Blush

Secondsop · 29/11/2019 13:38

Yes that’s it, fanny daggers!

Secondsop · 29/11/2019 13:44

I have been eating very sensibly but am SO bloated at the moment.

showmewhatyougot · 29/11/2019 13:51

Me too! And I swear the better I eat (more veg & healthy choices instead of the battered sausages I'm constantly craving!) the worse it gets :(

And I already have a bump! Second baby, but I swear the bloating is making me look a lot further along then I was when I was 20 weeks last time!

Hope you feel better soon it's horrid!

Secondsop · 29/11/2019 14:33

Aargh, my blood test has come back with v high fasting glucose (I have T2D, after having gestational diabetes that didn’t go away after my second pregnancy). I have an appointment on Tuesday. I get v anxious at these diabetes appointments as I tend to find them blamey and judgey and they assume I’m stuffing myself when in fact I follow a sensible low-carb diet.

Nelbert19 · 29/11/2019 15:57

Aw sorry to hear that @secondop. Just take deep breaths and try and remind yourself that any preachiness is aimed at mums less responsible than yourself. They’re there to help you and little bean, so just let any wrong assumptions roll off your back and take the advice that applies to you
