Anyone due July 2020

Hi all,

Anyone due July 2020? Sorry if I've missed a thread, done a quick search and couldn't find one...

DH and I were due to start TTC for #2 in the new year, but haven't been actively not-trying. Well something was just niggling at me over the weekend, I just 'had a feeling' if that makes sense... did an FRER yesterday and there it was! that second pink line...

I'm equal parts excited and batshit scared haha. I've not told DH yet, it's his birthday on Tuesday so going to break it to him then.

@RedRobin7 I’ve had a few nights out recently where I wouldn’t be able to avoid drinking without raising suspicion. I’ve made sure I get to the bar alone at first and explained to the bar staff - they’ve enjoyed playing along! After that, I can go and order a ‘rum and coke’ (or whichever code drink you’ve decided) and they give me plain coke. If you’re doing rounds, offer to help carry the drinks so the bar staff sees you. Pick a liquor that tastes strong so you’ll realise if the bar staff accidentally pour you a real one!

@BlueRaincoat89 congratulations that’s so exciting! Are there twins in your family?

I’ve had a very achey lower belly today, like the day before my period. Hopefully it’s the little pip sticking... either that or it’s the constipation!

farmmumtomillie · 26/11/2019 07:44

@BlueRaincoat89 massive congratulations. How exciting and blooming scary all in one go 😂
I've actually had a feeling from the beginning I'm having twins and i have a scan at EPAC this morning for bad cramps and spotting and I'm terrified to be honest!

Cramps are pretty normal I'm afraid everyone!
Obviously excruciating cramps pr cramps with bleeding needs investing

Nausea and fatigue is kicking me hard but when i try to nap or sleep I can't and I'm awake all night with pregnancy insomnia 😭

Good luck to all of you over Christmas hiding your drinking 😂 I agree, order moctails or carry drinks about and then leave them somey

rhiiila · 26/11/2019 08:03

Good luck @farmmumtomillie hope all
Goes well with the scan!! I am also not getting much sleep, so tired but restless when I try to nap or sleep! Has anyone else started to get a HEAVY headache? Mine started last night! Any remedies? Also just want to thank everyone for their sharing it's been so helpful in making me feel like I'm not alone!!! I have a work dinner tonight, drinks and Thai food, any pregnancy go to's for Thai? I think I will buy the first round and will get myself a mocktail and just hold on to that as long as I can!!

Nelbert19 · 26/11/2019 08:03

Ah is pregnancy insomnia a thing?? I’ve been sleeping terribly, I thought it was just because I’m too excited!

rhiiila · 26/11/2019 08:05

Also one more question how do you deal with string smells on public transport 🤢 I'm sitting behind someone right now and it is SO STRONG!

farmmumtomillie · 26/11/2019 08:38

@Nelbert19 most definitely! I had it the last few months of pregnancy last time and it was torture I'm hoping it isn't here to stay until I deliver in June 😭 i think I'll have to start getting up at 1/2am to do housework and watch tv otherwise 😫

@rhiiila so sorry your not sleeping well either! So frustrating when your so exhausted isn't it! Go for something plain or the heartburn will be insane 🙈
Yep i get a headache every afternoon around 2pm and it's just awful

Thank you, I'm bricking it but hopefully all is okay

Goldington · 26/11/2019 08:38

Ohhhh @rhiiila I’ve been wearing a heavily perfumed scarf to bury my face in as I just feel like I can smell everyone! My pregnancy insomnia has eased off now and I seem to sleeping better.

Been sick this morning and the nausea comes and goes throughout the day.

Also had my scan letter through - it’s on Xmas Eve. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing!

BlueRaincoat89 · 26/11/2019 09:03

@Nelbert19 my auntie and uncle are twins so I think there was always a bit of chance but it never really crossed my mind!

@farmmumtomillie good luck with the scan!

@rhiiila I've had a headache quite a lot, I get menstrual migraines when not pregnant so think hormones cause mine. Paracetomal doesn't usually help with mine - the 4head sticks offer a bit of relief though if you haven't tried them?

susie12345 · 26/11/2019 10:25

Hi so i had the scan and they said it looks like im only 5 weeks pregnant. They could only see the sac but no heartbeat. They said its called uncertain viability at this stage and will do another scan in 2 weeks to see if the heartbeat develops. Im really scared it is not going to develop :(

Nelbert19 · 26/11/2019 10:44

@susie12345 - that’s a normal scan at 5 weeks, the heart can’t be seen until 6/7 weeks at the earliest and the embryo is too small to find on ultrasound. Don’t panic! That’s a normal scan for this stage

susie12345 · 26/11/2019 11:13

@Nelbert19 i know but im so worried and i cant help it. Im scared it will not develop :(

OlivejuiceU2 · 26/11/2019 11:49

The drains at work are really bad in the toilets so I’m struggling with how strong my sense of smell is and the need to wee every 5 minutes! Feeling pretty nauseous too. Get to the six week mark tomorrow so probably a good sign to start feeling sick (never thought I’d hear myself say that!)

Hope everyone else is doing well

OlivejuiceU2 · 26/11/2019 11:51

Try not to worry @susie12345 I know that’s easier said then done but it is too early for a HB yet Flowers

showmewhatyougot · 26/11/2019 11:57

Had my second early scan this morning (due to bad cramping and spotting) and little
Bean is fine :) measuring at 7 + 5 days, with a good little heartbeat. Also got my 12 week scan booked for 23rd December :)

RedRobin7 · 26/11/2019 12:26

@showmewhatyougot So pleased to hear everything is okay! I've had some cramping and spotting so I really hope everything is okay at my scan tomorrow, you've given me hope!

@Goldington I think we have the same due date and now the same 12 week scan date! I tried to change my to 23rd but the lady said something like it would be too early - does 11+5 really make a difference to 11+6?!

@susie12345 I have everything crossed for you. It's very common not to see anything so early and hopefully everything will be fine at your next scan 🤞🤞

@rhiiila I have been getting some headaches and migraines and wake up with them in the night. I take paracetamol and sometimes it helps but the doctor said if things are really bad codeine is okay... I'd rather not risk it but it's worth talking to your doctor. I also really recommend the 4head sticks as they do help. I rub it on my forehead, temples and also under my hairline at the back of my neck. The latter is a new trick and really helps!

Goldington · 26/11/2019 14:25

We do @RedRobin7 how exciting!!

PixieN · 26/11/2019 15:03

Hi ladies, haven’t had chance to read the whole thread yet, but hoping to join you. I had an early scan last week after undergoing Ivf. It’s taken us a long time to get pregnant and this is our first. I’m due on 2nd July and have my first midwife appointment this week. Feeling excited and anxious x

Ethellsmum · 26/11/2019 15:14

Any tips for dealing with the exhaustion? 2pm is my slump time, I can barely keep my eyes open at work? I’ve been on a course today and could have cried I felt that tired come 2pm. Currently on the bus going home and trying so hard not to shut my eyes lol.

Kiki275 · 26/11/2019 15:34

@Ethellsmum can you save your caffeine allowance for slump time?x

NimmuGreen · 26/11/2019 15:45

Congratulations on all your BFPs! I got my positive a couple of weeks ago. I’m excited and anxious and a bit overwhelmed as it happened very fast after coming off the pill.

I’m a bit mixed up with my dates so not sure how many weeks I am. I stopped taking the pillon October 26th and haven’t had a period between then and now. At my booking appointment last week, the midwife used this day to date by and told me I was 7 + 3 (with estimated due date 1st July). But I travel a lot for work and only saw my partner for 10 days between 3rd – 13th October. We slept together a few times during this period. We then didn’t see each other again until 1st November. I got a strong positive on Sunday 10th November and then took a clear blue test that said I was 3+ weeks. Any guesses as to how pregnant I might be? Going by the midwife's dating I am 8 + 6 today but I know I can’t be that far along (unless it was an immaculate conception)!

I have my 12-week scan booked for the 18th Dec so I guess I will find out the exact dates then but it just feels so far away. Anyway, for now just trying to remind myself that this is something I’ve wanted for a long time and to enjoy it as much as possible. Easier said than done! I am so, so tired at the moment. Thankfully back home and no more work travels planned until the new year.

toomuchteaandcake · 26/11/2019 16:16

@NimmuGreen If you assume you OV on or couple days after 13 Oct you'd be 8 weeks Smile if you OV before that then a bit further along

Dafs123 · 26/11/2019 16:16

Anybody been told they had a trace of blood in urine at booking app? She said don't worry as it's a tiny trace and come from my bladder, but of course I'm panicked. Private scan at 6 this evening 🤞🏻

PixieN · 26/11/2019 16:24

@lyndseybabybrain we had Ivf too and were amazed that it actually worked. How did your scan go? Hope all is well x

Nelbert19 · 26/11/2019 16:24

Congrats to all the new BFPs!

@pixien that’s so exciting, must be v nerve wracking! How long have you been trying?

@NimmuGreen have you taken into account the extra 2 weeks they add on? As in they count 2 weeks pre conception. But it’s (amazingly) not an exact science, hence due dates never being right, so a week or so either side isn’t a big deal

Nelbert19 · 26/11/2019 16:26

@Dafs123 don’t worry too much about trace of blood - there’s a load of unconcerning causes, including normal spotting in the first trimester. Nothing to worry about
