Anyone due July 2020

Hi all,

Anyone due July 2020? Sorry if I've missed a thread, done a quick search and couldn't find one...

DH and I were due to start TTC for #2 in the new year, but haven't been actively not-trying. Well something was just niggling at me over the weekend, I just 'had a feeling' if that makes sense... did an FRER yesterday and there it was! that second pink line...

I'm equal parts excited and batshit scared haha. I've not told DH yet, it's his birthday on Tuesday so going to break it to him then.

@Misty16oct aww thank you, I wish you all the best too!
The thing is that it wasn't planned at all..it came as a shock and it's not the best time, we're not ready financially etc (and DP keeps on focusing on our ages..even though I remind him he will be 25 by then lol).
I had 5 days to get used to this little poppy seed inside me, I feel like I love it already, and even DP is slowly getting excited...
But I know that if it ended we wouldn't TTC for the next 4 years or so, like we had planned 😥 This makes me upset and I just don't want it to end :(

RedRobin7 · 12/11/2019 07:11

I'm just the same ladies, so hard to feel positive about this pregnancy just keep expecting it to end any day. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and have my first scan with my consultant. Really hope there's some positive news as I can't face another loss. I really want to be positive but the anxiety is controlling me!

I worry that I sneeze too much, move around in bed too much, am I drinking enough and eating the right stuff 🙄

Speaking of which... what are you all doing about tea? I've gone down to one caffeinated tea in the morning and then if I have any more I'll have decaf. A friend of mine told me off and said I should give it up completely but I suffer from horrendous migraines and I think giving up caffeine completely might cause migraines. I'll ask the consultant tomorrow!

Lcham89 · 12/11/2019 07:11

@Babytrain89 I'm so so so sorry to hear this. ♥️

farmmumtomillie · 12/11/2019 07:27

@RedRobin7 good luck today! That amount of caffeine is absolutely fine! We had an employee who used to drink 3/4 cups tea and a bottle coke daily 😳 that I wouldn't recommend! Luckily i drink only decaf so I don't have to cut down

Woke a few times in the night and happening still this morning
Feels like my period is about to arrive. Really scary 😭

Dafs123 · 12/11/2019 08:31

Morning everyone. Anyone having trouble sleeping? I fall asleep early but waking at 5 am every day 😭

I've switched to decaf tea . And have a coffee maybe every other day? I think they say a cup or 2 of caffeinated coffee is ok though.

No sickness yet but boobs are especially sore today. 5 weeks today. Time is dragging!

Julilie72 · 12/11/2019 08:45

I've switched to decaf tea as well.. but tbh I normally only have a cup a day (I'm not british probs why haha), and I don't drink coffee or coke.. :)

@dafs123 a little bit..the 4 days before the test I would wake up around 5am and not go back to sleep.. then all ok. And thiz morning I woke up around 5am again for the loo, and took me ages to go back to sleep..

@RedRobin7 good luck for your scan tomorrow!! I hope it goes for the best x

WooMaWang · 12/11/2019 09:55

I don't drink much tea really. I did drink a reasonable amount of coffee. But I cut down to a small, solitary cup a day. I've been drinking water or lemon and ginger tea instead.

I feel quite nauseous. I think it's just because I know I'm pregnant and I'm anticipating the morning sickness rather than anything else.

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 10:03

Hi all, can I jump on? The July antenatal thread seems to be dead since everyone migrated to the FB page and for whatever reason I still havent been sent the link to join! So hoping you don't mind me coming here?

I was given due date of 26th June yesterday so 7+4 today and MS sure has hit - hallway floor got the brunt of it this morning. This is my 6th pregnancy but we only have 1 living son at home, we lost our 2nd son at 5 days old in July.

Just going to catch up on the thread now Smile

@RedRobin7 and @Dafs123 - 200mg caffeine guidance a day just remember things like fizzy drinks and chocolate also contain caffeine. 200mg is approx 2 cups of instant coffee - www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/should-i-limit-caffeine-during-pregnancy/ - useful link that I used

But have no clue how any of you are still drinking coffee or tea! Both definitely are triggers for me now.

@RedRobin7 good luck for the scan and consultant app today!

@Julilie72 btw dont worry 5 weeks is so early! Most people do not start getting symptoms until closer to 7 weeks. Just wondering why do you not want people to know yet? I am always curious as to why people choose to wait.

Seeing the bump pics is great! I know they say it is all meant to be bloat this first bit - and tbh I know about bloat with my bowel condition so I do know bloat sure an make you look pregnant - but I am sure this is my little bump forming as afterall was only 4.5 months ago I last gave birth.

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 10:05

(Btw I know I am June and this is a July thread but it is a late June date and worried that the other June thread will have also migrated to the FB page too or will be pretty established with knowing everyone)

littlelaury · 12/11/2019 10:49

Welcome Twittlebee and congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm so very sorry to hear about the baby boy you lost so recently in July. I think you're incredibly brave to be keeping going and I wish you all the luck for this pregnancy!

dragonmummy17 · 12/11/2019 11:27

@TwittleBee hi and congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm sorry to hear you lost your little boy
I'm only drinking decaf tea. I was having one caffeinated per day but it started tasting funny. I do like a milky hot chocolate before bed though which will have some caffeine in
@RedRobin7 good luck for today

Annielou516 · 12/11/2019 16:22

Hiya all

Congratulations on all our recent news. I just found out on Sat and am delighted and terrified in equal measures. I had a miscarriage early June after years of trying. Glad to have hope again but it really is a scary time. Trying to be as calm and positive as possible! Time goes in so slowly in first trimester doesn't it? Xx

Julilie72 · 12/11/2019 16:42

@TwittleBee argh yes that's true, but would really appreciate a bit more symptoms to feel like it's real ! Haha.
And for now I don't want people to know because it's so early and wouldn't want my family to get excited to then tell them it's over :/ and tbh also because I feel a bit awkward about the situation Blush.... I don't know anyone that has kids or even engaged at my age (will be 27 in June) in my friends etc..not even people from my old school that I have on FB (exact same for my partner social circle), it's more uni, then get married and kids after 30 I guess. So I feel like they would judge me..I've always been the shy, very studious girl at school and surely they will be very surprised :(

BurnerPhone · 12/11/2019 16:44

Anybody else struggling with their toddler with the effects of early pregnancy?? I've felt sick as a dog the past fortnight and I've no energy. Feeling very guilty as we are normally always busy on the days I spend with him (work part time) but today we've just played in the house and watched far too much tv as I couldn't face going out.

I don't remember even being sick once with my first! My belly is so bloated that even leggings are digging into me! God help me if I tried to put my jeans on...

TwittleBee · 12/11/2019 17:00

Oh we are reasonably similar in that @Julilie72 ! I had my first DS at 23 years old, in middle of doing my masters part time around my full time job. Me and DH only people didn't have any school or university friends with children yet! NCT classes were weird too as we were the youngest by miles and often feel that age gap, hoping I dont at the school gates but fear I will as still get bloody IDed all the time.

@Annielou516 yes time does so so so so drag by! Sorry about your MC x

@BurnerPhone yes toddlers and pregnancy are tough together. Finding it harder to be pregnant around a toddler for sure.

Rainbow2020 · 12/11/2019 17:16

We found out 3 weeks ago that we are expecting our rainbow baby. We lost one 2 years ago at 14 weeks ( I had to go to epau on Saturday 9/11 to make sure it wasn’t eptopic as I’m high risk due to adesions ! Thankfully it wasn’t I should be due around the 9th July .. So excited but understandably anxious.. I’m absolutely exhausted and the nausea is unbareable I just eat to pass it (any tips will be appreciated ) congratulations to you all too Smile

Sprintfinish · 12/11/2019 17:26

I got my flu jag today and my dates sorted for my booking in appointment and 12w scan. My booking appointment is during my first week back at work after maternity leave (DS is 11m), so looks like I'll be telling my boss on my first day back. Fun!

edinbaby · 12/11/2019 18:00

@Julilie72 I am in a similar position. I am the first out of all my friends to be pregnant and engaged! It’s quite daunting but I did tell my two closest friends and it was such a weight off my shoulders because they are so supportive/reassuring with my worries.

I have also had to tell my boss as I’m a community nurse and cannot go into certain houses eg smokers.

I have started feeling quite nauseous now but I’m not sure if it’s in my head or due to my heightened sense of smell! I usually have a really strong stomach! The bloating is also next level!

AKC123 · 12/11/2019 18:09

Congratulations new comers!
How is everyones symptoms? Im getting worried.. first 2 weeks i felt lightheaded and a bit dizzy. Then had nausea for 3 days at the end of week 5. But today and yesterday (week 6), i barely feel pregnant, my symptoms seem to have gone apart from sore boobs if i squeeze them.

Tils1066 · 12/11/2019 18:29

I am exactly the same. It’s awful to wish for symptoms but so worrying when they disappear. I’m 6 plus 2 today and feel no different. I keep wishing the days away. I constantly google things and plan my future around bad news! I really hope with each day I get less anxious. Sending you 🤗

Strawberryshortcake78 · 12/11/2019 18:55

Ooh can I join too? New Mumsnetter here but already a mum to a little nearly 3yo girl! I’m six weeks pregnant with our second and due around 7 July. We moved house in June and my MIL is living with us (we bought her house and her new house isn’t ready yet from renovations!) so it’s been a bit awkward trying to time having lots of rumpy pumpy- it was like being a teenager again. Anyway we had one shot on it happened to be my ovulation day and bang I’m preggo! Super happy but must be nuts and hoping this one will be a sleeper 😂 feeling sick mostly in the evening and just bone aching weariness. No 1 child and I had a three hour nap yesterday (inadvertently) but didn’t feel any more refreshed! Have told the parents and some friends but we’ll do the big reveal in new year probably

mlax · 12/11/2019 19:15

Feeling your pain @Babytrain89 and thinking of you xxx

dragonmummy17 · 12/11/2019 20:20

@BurnerPhone yes I'm finding managing symptoms and a toddler really challenging... we've had lots of TV over the last couple of days
@Rainbow2020 congratulations. I'm really struggling with the nausea too and the eating... but it's a viscous cycle cos I'm eating to stop feeling sick then I feel sick for eating. Someone suggested sucking mints so I'm going to try that... I'll get back to you

farmmumtomillie · 13/11/2019 08:33

@BurnerPhone luckily I'm only a little tired at the moment but if i get as exhausted and nauseas as last time I'm going to struggle with my toddler too! 5 weeks tomorrow 😬 when did your first trimester symptoms properly kick in for you?

Feeling really anxious today 😩 overriding desire to just test loads again! And haven't been testing for nearly a week

LisaxMarie · 13/11/2019 11:08

@RedRobin7 hope all goes well today 🍀
