Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

I am so sorry for the losses, I hope you all are able to take some time to look after yourselves x x

I have booked a private scan for Monday, and I’m now thinking it’ll be too soon? I’ll be 6 + 6 that day, starting to worry now 😩 Although the sickness reared it’s ugly head properly today, I ended up in the toilet at Tesco’s today...

6 weeks today

MissisBee · 29/10/2019 21:50

So sorry to hear of all the losses, much love to all of you ❤️
I've been hiding for a few days as I'd had 2 episodes of bleeding, was at EPU today and, much to my surprise and joy, saw a little bean with a heartbeat. I'm feeling very grateful to have had good news today. It seems I have a cervical ectropion, so may expect some bleeding to recur.

marmitecheesetoast · 31/10/2019 13:13

That sounds hard @MissisBee but brilliant that you got positive news. What does it mean if you have cervical ectropion? (Excuse my ignorance!)

@Legendsonly you’ll be very nearly 7 weeks so hopefully it’ll be ok 🤞🏻

I finally got my booking appt through today, it’s not til 26th Nov which seems ages away! I’ll be 9 weeks then.

5+2 today, absolutely starving and finding being at home with my toddler today a challenge - so much harder than my days at work!!

MissisBee · 31/10/2019 17:05

Thanks @marmitecheesetoast.
An ectropion (or erosion), is basically when the transition zone of internal and external cells in the cervix moves outward. These cells are a bit more fragile, so can bleed. Common in pregnancy and in general, not a risk to baby, just a bit of a nuisance.
Sickness and tiredness really ramping up the last couple of days

Tried to book a private reassurance scan today and they only have a week Friday ☹️ I'm not finding that very reassuring (I feel like based on previous if anything is going to happen it will have by then) but I took it. No real symptoms apart from breast feeding is painful and I'm exhausted.

How's everyone else doing? Ready for the weekend and some extra SLEEP? (Or is that just me...?)

cookielove · 01/11/2019 07:41

@AttenburyEmeralds could you not try another clinic?

AttenburyEmeralds · 01/11/2019 16:34

I thought about it but the next closest one is 40 minutes away and twice the price! I shall have to put on my big girl pants - it's only a week. And I'm lucky to have gotten pregnant at all as we didn't think it would happen again nevermind quickly. keeps looking for silver lining

TwittleBee · 04/11/2019 12:33

Hello again,

Coming back in as somehow my baby has gone from measuring 4 weeks last week to 7 weeks with a heartbeat this week. Crying in shock. I've so confused but so so so happy.

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 12:36

@twittlebee thats amazing news lovely!!!!!!!!

marmitecheesetoast · 04/11/2019 13:18

Oh that’s brilliant news @TwittleBee how amazing, a little miracle! What a week you must have had Flowers

How’s everyone else doing? I am sooo hungry I just want to eat constantly. Also I am constantly thirsty, no matter how much I drink it doesn’t seem to quench my thirst... which means I’m peeing even more than ever!!

5+6 today

couchroastpotato · 04/11/2019 14:26

@TwittleBee that's amazing news!! X

LillianFullStop · 04/11/2019 15:08

That's amazing news @TwittleBee! You must be over the moon esp to see a heartbeat!

@marmitecheesetoast I am always hungry too and as soon as I eat I blow up with bloat. Also always thirsty and am up at least 3x a night to pee and drink some more water!

Anyone else super super tired... I could just lie in bed and sleep all day right now. I don't remember being this tired with DD1

Mamatosoontobe4 · 04/11/2019 19:55

Aww that’s amazing news @TwittleBee so pleased for you. What a relief.

I’m the same @marmitecheesetoast and @LillianFullStop constantly hungry and if I don’t eat I feel sick so eating it is. Got my first midwife appointment tomorrow. I’ll be 10+1, hopefully I’ll get a date for my 12 week scan not long afterwards xxxx

Whatnext11 · 04/11/2019 20:20

So pleased twittlebee, wow.

MissisBee · 04/11/2019 21:45

Oh my God @TwittleBee I'm SOOO happy for you.

I feel I'm managing my nausea much better than last time (benefit of experience). At its worst if I'm late getting breakfast or dinner. I'm very glad, because it went on so long last time. Noticing a lot of reflux symptoms too. Managing so far with Rennie's/gaviscon.
SIL is visiting this week, so we're planning to tell all the family while she's here

Legendsonly · 05/11/2019 06:34

@TwittleBee Wow that’s fantastic! I am so happy for you.
I got some surprising news of my own yesterday, I went in expecting not to see a heartbeat, and ended up seeing TWO. Yep, twins 🙈, identical twins at that. So more shock has come, which will probably last a bit longer than the previous ‘just getting pregnant’ shock!! It’s 7 weeks since my LMP and they measured 6 weeks exactly.

marmitecheesetoast · 05/11/2019 09:00

Oh wow amazing congratulations @Legendsonly what a surprise!

Lovely to have happy news on this thread Smile

I’m feeling really nauseous and grim this morning and my manager has just landed a last minute presentation on me at a team meeting today Sad

Chaosonthehorizon · 05/11/2019 09:09

Oh wow ‘twins!!’ Legendsonly is this your first pregnancy? Have you had loads of symptoms? Got my booking in today and celebrated by throwing up all over the bathroom in the middle of trying to leave for the school run 🤢

TwittleBee · 05/11/2019 09:22

Thank you everyone, I am in so much shock - my dates are right and somehow my baby managed to catch up to 3 weeks worth of growth in 1 week, no clue how that is possible but wont question it!

@marmitecheesetoast the thirst is real isnt it! I find only thing that gives me any relief is Coke but even then the thirst returns within 10 minutes! I swear even when I am drinking water I still feel thirsty, remember being like this with all other pregnancies though. Good luck with the last minute presentation today, how frustrating!

@LillianFullStop tiredness hasnt yet hit me! but not quite as far as you!

@Mamatosoontobe4 hope MW app goes well today and you like her - are you in an area where you get same MW throughout?

@MissisBee ah brilliant you are managing the sickness! Hopefully you manage to keep on top of it, can be fricking awful

@Legendsonly oh wow I wondered who would end up with twins, always at least one woman! How exciting! Identical too! So crazy!

@Chaosonthehorizon eeeek, not nice! Hope the booking app goes well at least.

I've another scan next Monday, my booking in app with my MW and shall be finding out who my Consultant will be too! Busy Monday that will be!

7+1

SunshineCrocodile · 05/11/2019 09:26

May I join in ladies? I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, due June 3 (tbc at scan). Am finally admitting to myself that this is maybe happening having heard a heartbeat this week.

This will be baby #4 but there have been several early and a couple of late 1st tri miscarriages along the way so I'm anxious but hoping I'm past the worst of the risk.

@TwittleBee it's nice to see a familiar face, I couldn't help but notice your news and I am so delighted for you, you couldn't deserve that little miracle more! Everything crossed for you hereon in.

TwittleBee · 05/11/2019 09:39

Hey there @SunshineCrocodile ! Lovely to see you feel you have the confidence, although still imagine you are on edge and will be till the end, to join the antenatal group chat!

Legendsonly · 05/11/2019 09:59

@Chaosonthehorizon Its my second pregnancy, I have a daughter from IVF. I have been extremely tired, nauseous, had a sore head, it’s like being hungover every day 😩. The hunger and thirst is off the charts too.
Husband and I were so smug about having everything we needed for baby number 2, now I guess we have some more shopping to do...

Notnowokay · 05/11/2019 13:18

@TwittleBee, congratulations on the good news and welcome back.

cookielove · 05/11/2019 16:23

Wow congrats @twittleBee best news ever!!!

@Legendsonly, awww congratulations x
