Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

Any recommendations on less vile brands of de-caf tea?! Wink

MissisBee · 23/10/2019 17:40

I drink Thompson's, but I think you can only get it in NI. Not so keen on Tesco's or Lidl's

Mangopassionfruit · 23/10/2019 17:45

Yorkshire decaf is the best by far!

BabyBird20 · 23/10/2019 19:27

Hi All,
Can I join you guys? After ttc for two yrs I was due to start fertility treatment this month. Felt very weird a couple of days before I was due on and got my BFP and due on 20th June! Over the moon to say the least but so anxious about it. The wait to see a midwife seems impossible. V tempted to get an early scan!
Nice to have other people in the same boat to talk to! Smile

BabyBird20 · 23/10/2019 19:28

Ps I’m a massive tea addict and had to cut down very quickly! Barry’s decaf tea (from Ireland but I buy on amazon) is the best I’ve found!

MamaPeas · 23/10/2019 20:11

Hey lovelies, sorry I'm not very active here. 18month old plus morning sickness, plus the FB groups is taking up my headspace. Just to say had to lock down the Facebook group an extra later as we were getting so weird join requests. I know a few people were waiting until 12 weeks. When you are ready, drop an email to me at [email protected] and I can send an invite.

Also.......WHO named it "morning" sickness? LIES

Thanks guys, will try some different teas!
Decaf coffee at least is more tolerable!

TwittleBee · 24/10/2019 08:23

MamaPeas previous facebook groups we have had created as Secret groups so that only us MNers from this group can join by requesting via DM on MN. Dont know if it is too late to remove the non MNers?

what decaff coffee have you found @marmitecheesetoast ? I have never found one I like, I have just decided to drink hot chocolate instead hah!

@BabyBird20 welcome! what a lovely surprise for you. hope all goes smooth for you. If you get an early scan, I really recommend you wait until at least 7 weeks because prior that you will be in limbo if they do not find a heartbeat (pretty common they cant pick it up prior 7 weeks)

I think I am avoiding "morning" sickness... 5 weeks today and so far only felt sick when running! Was so sick before that ended up in hospital on a drip, so would like to avoid that. Plus my 2 year old got very concerned by how ill I was all the time.

MamaPeas · 24/10/2019 08:36

We've not added any of their weird requests @TwittleBee. It's by admin approval only. We had a few guys requesting though, who we declined. It was private but searchable, not its non-searchable now. It's a lovely group, everyone's really friendly and supportive.

Ah I see! @MamaPeas - apologies, I imagined it to have become one of those generic "Due June 2020" facebook groups you get on there that is pretty much open to anyone to join (if they are approved by admins). Not sure when I will join, I like to think once I have this baby scanned in 2 weeks time but even then I know I wont be out of the woods. Just found it so hard leaving post MMC and then when DS2 died at 5 days old. But saying that, I do still have a few of the group as friends on facebook and instagram and it is nice seeing their babies growing up and having a general chat now and then

MamaPeas · 24/10/2019 09:53

Oh @TwittleBee I'm so sorry. That must have been awful. What is DS2's name if you don't mind me asking? X

I dont mind sharing @MamaPeas , pretty sure anyone who knows me IRL will have spotted who I am on MN by now anyway as there was a lot of support in here during those 5 days and in the immediate aftermath (plus other very identifiable threads regarding woodland). His name is Roy. A favourite name for me and DH and the only boy's name we agreed on, so goodness knows what we will call this one if we have a 3rd son!

Anny27 · 24/10/2019 10:26

@twittlebee i am so sorry for the loss of Roy Flowers - i cant imagine the pain xx

LillianFullStop · 24/10/2019 11:15

Hi all sorry I've been out of it the last couple of weeks - I've been hit by some viral infection that's triggered epic migraines that I can only take paracetamol for. I have been pretty useless and in and out of bed - coupled with the nausea I've been having a real rough time of it. I think my head is starting to clear now fingers crossed!

@Whatnext11 thanks for the recommendation on the wrist bands I think they are helping with the nausea!

Welcome to everyone joining the last couple of weeks I've just been catching up. @TwittleBee I'm so sorry for all your losses esp your baby boy Thanks you have been through so much and surely deserve the smoothest pregnancy and delivery.

I went for a private scan last week and saw a nice little heartbeat. They dated me a week before I thought I was so I'm only just 7+5 now. Midwife appointment is next week.

AttenburyEmeralds · 24/10/2019 12:47

Hello to the new people waves feels like we have had lots of tough roads to get here. Hoping for lots and lots of sticky beans 💛

@TwittleBee thank you for sharing Roy's name with us. I hope this pregnancy is totally, utterly boring and uneventful!

I'm absolutely exhausted today. We're trying to sleep train DC2 (age 1) and it's going... Moderately well? But the first trimester wipes me out which isn't helping.

Still don't know how many weeks I am - 5-7, I think. Going to book a private scan next week and hope they can tell me! I have a good feeling about this one at the moment 🤞

Can't help on the tea as I'm a coffee person, but I do recommend Percol decaf coffee.

TwittleBee · 25/10/2019 09:35

Shall be trying that Percol decaf - thank you @AttenburyEmeralds !

Thank you for kind words about Roy and this pregnancy too.

Really hope non of us drop out of this thread due to losses, so so sad when between the 6 weeks to 12 weeks stages there is about 1/5 drop out Sad

DeviousBrie · 25/10/2019 18:13

I'm out - had some light bleeding yesterday and emergency scan at EPU today showed 6weeks (I should be 9 weeks, and sure of my dates), just waiting MC properly start.

Good luck to everyone Flowers

couchroastpotato · 25/10/2019 18:35

@DeviousBrie I am so so sorry to hear that. I know there is nothing anyone can say to make this any better for you but I am thinking of you Thanks x

Anny27 · 25/10/2019 18:46

@deviousBrie i am so sorry lovely! The exact same thing happened to me today. They said baby is only measurring 6+1 and there is no heartbeat:(

They said it was inconclusive and i have to go back in 2 weeks but i am almost certain of the outcome :(

Anny27 · 25/10/2019 18:46

I should add i am also almost 9 weeks and sure of my dates* :(

DeviousBrie · 25/10/2019 19:15
