Baby was born at 8pm last night - just 20
Mins in established labour! She was 6lb 2oz (born at 36+6), and we are just waiting to be discharged now. We passed all the blood tests (I had GD!), and she's feeding like an absolute dream. I was a little worried because my last one ended in a 3rd degree tear (whole body in one push) and this little madam also was born in one push but I came away with just a-tiny graze. Good luck to everyone still waiting - not long to go now!

db92 · 19/08/2019 15:31

Ah congratulations @coffeeandgin26 . Wow 20 minutes! Glad everything went well. And you're on your way home with your baby girl Grin

IVEgottheDECAF · 19/08/2019 15:46

easterbuns1 · 19/08/2019 16:05

Congratulations @coffeeandgin26!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 19/08/2019 16:11

Congratulations @coffeeandgin26! Sounds like a nice and easy labour (well as nice and easy as it can get!). Hope you're on your way home soon and enjoying the newborn snuggles. Good job on the feeding too!

You're a trooper @Horehound. Hopefully the midwife tells you you're well on your way!

Karigan195 · 19/08/2019 16:13

Oh my I’m very jealous of your labour Coffee lol! Congratulations. Can’t wait to see the new little one. Do you have a name yet?

iano · 19/08/2019 16:45

Congratulations @coffeeandgin26!! A dream labour (if there is such a thing).

@Horehound I hope the MW could help with some advice.

kyles101 · 19/08/2019 16:53

Congrats @coffeeandgin26 !! That's the sort of labour I would like please, where does the request form get sent?

@Horehound yours not so much, I hope you're doing ok? What did the midwife say?

@boodles101 hope you have both arms full right now!!

boodles101 · 19/08/2019 17:15

Congrats coffeeandgin sounds like a great labour!

I'd like to introduce the twins! Erin in the red hat born at 2.31pm weighing 4lb8 and Alex in cream hat born at 2.33pm weighing 5lb8.
Both lovely and healthy, no help needed and breastfeeding started in recovery.
I'm over the moon and so in love!

SJP3 · 19/08/2019 17:17

@Jennylou88 We're about the same due date - I have the pelvic pressure too. Sleeping so badly as need to wee every time I change positions... Just gone into turbo nesting mode over the last couple of days.

Megan2018 · 19/08/2019 17:27

@coffeeandgin26 Congratulations! Wow, that is a speedy labour, your body clearly got the memo baby making memo!

@boodles101, commented on the facebook page just now- congratulations for making 2 perfect babies.

I met up with some of my NCT for lunch, what with seeing theirs and all the babies on here I’m starting to feel very nervous indeed!!

BBell2 · 19/08/2019 17:46

@coffeeandgin26 congratulations on your girl, that labour sounds ideal :)

@boodles just commented on FBI too, but they are so lovely!

@horehound I'm sorry it's taking so long, hope you are still able to have some comfort at home.

I want to rant about my MW service, saw a new one last Monday, she had no clue who I was but ok, call today to say it looks like she booked me in on a bank holiday, surely she isnt working? And she of course isnt. And is full the next week...and didnt leave her number on my notes or apparently in the surgery, we only know her first name. So I'm seeing her at 38wks from 34, babies breech and small - the same shit happened with my daughter. Have a series of numbers to call but all those awerfull calling systems and I sound like a right tit...."ummm I dont actually know her name"

DustyDoorframes · 19/08/2019 18:01

Aaaaah @boodles101 what a pair of corkers!!!! They are just scrumptious. You made TWO AMAZING PEOPLE AT ONCE!!!! How incredible are you!!! V glad to hear they are getting stuck right in with feeding etc, brilliant news!

@Horehound I hope things have sped up for you. Surely soon!

@BBell2 urgh to your ridiculous MW services. That sounds absolutely maddening to sort out!!

Tefiti2 · 19/08/2019 18:06

That’s ridiculous @BBell2 - do you have a local coordinator? Hope you manage to make an appointment much sooner than that!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 19/08/2019 18:09
happydays00 · 19/08/2019 18:11

Congratulations @coffeeandgin26!! Do you have a name yet?

@Horehound how are you getting on?! Hope things are progressing and you're coping ok!

@TwittleBee - so lovely to see your name on here. Thank you for the well wishes.

@Stroan How are you getting on back home?

Max is off his oxygen now and hopefully moving to transitional care tomorrow where, once feed is established and he's tube-fed-free for 2 days we can bring him home!

KnobJockey · 19/08/2019 18:22

Decaf, there's a picture above!

Coffeeandgin, wow, what a fantastic quick birth! And a lovely weight for 36+2. Does little one have a name yet? Hope you get to go home soon!

Boodles, double congratulations! They are absolutely beautiful. You are an absolute star, managing to grow 2 babies to those healthy weights, and doing it with barely any whinging- I would have been a big whingebag in your shoes! Enjoy your first night with the babies, and hopefully a bit of sleep!

KnobJockey · 19/08/2019 18:23

Happydays, wow, he's a little trooper! That's not long at all!

IVEgottheDECAF · 19/08/2019 18:41

Omg how did i miss them!

They are just perfect Grin well done boodles

Amazing news on Max Happydays

DustyDoorframes · 19/08/2019 18:57

Woot woot @happydays00 ! That's brilliant!

Horehound · 19/08/2019 19:04

Congratulations @coffeeandgin26! I do envy your birth Grin

@boodles101 way hay! Erin and Alex look very cosy. Gorgeous babies, well done!

Not much news from me I'm afraid. Midwife came and said head is 3/5 engaged. She didn't check to see how dilated I was as she said there's not much use in knowing. Everything I told her she said was normal and basically this could all stop and dwindle down to nothing, even for days or it could ramp up. She said "how long is a piece of string" and basically to chill, watch a film, have a walk around, make sure to eat and try to rest

So basically as soon as she left me and DH just lay on the mattress he's brought through for me. I basically have a bedroom in the living room for me to give birth on and I think we both fell asleep as soon as our heads touched the pillow. I woke up with intense contractions again but as soon as i stand and walk around or sit on my ball they go. Husband still fast asleep in his nest :D hopefully he can catch up on his lost sleep and then get back to looking after me! Thanks all for checking in on me, it's so nice to have this support

Dyra · 19/08/2019 19:12

All the babies! Yay! 🥳

Congratulations boodles and coffee. Gorgeous little ones. Enjoy all the snuggles!

Good to hear about little Max happydays. Hopefully it won't be too long now until he's at home with you.

Hope things are progressing now Horehound.

How crappy BBell. Seems silly they wouldn't run their normal Monday clinic on a different day when it falls on a Bank Holiday. Hopefully they can fit you in the week after the bank holiday or work something else out so you're not going so long between appointments.

RonaldWeasley · 19/08/2019 19:15

Congratulations @boodles101 and @coffeeandgin26 on your perfect deliveries! Absolutely loving all this baby news!!

DustyDoorframes · 19/08/2019 19:18

Ouf @Horehound tough going!!! V glad to hear you are sleeping a little bit at least. Come on contractions, sort yourselves out!!
