Yes great news bridget! That is a huge job!

boodles101 · 16/08/2019 16:33

Great improvement in levels bridgetjonesdaquiri and glad they have a plan in place for you. Try to stop worrying over the weekend now and get plenty of rest for next week!
Decaf karigan said on Facebook that she had been bumped all day for her csection and is still waiting. Shes an absolute trooper!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/08/2019 16:40

Oh no that must be frustrating! Thanks for the update!

DustyDoorframes · 16/08/2019 16:40

Oh my gosh poor @Karigan195 !!!!!

kyles101 · 16/08/2019 16:44

Great news @BridgetJonesDaiquiri and yay for the appointment- mine is supposedly going to be In attendance the week after next 🤔

Boo to the bumping, how can they not know we're waiting... could she in theory be bumped all the way to the next day??

kyles101 · 16/08/2019 16:59

@Megan2018 how was your last day? Tears?

Megan2018 · 16/08/2019 17:29

@kyles101 just leaving now, no tears but it was a bit emotional- I bloody love my job and the people, even though I whinge about it a lot.
I am glad I opted to go during clearing-its been a very different week to normal with everyone pitching in to get students signed up so it is a great note to leave on. Just got to drop my keys off and that’s that for 54 weeks. Eeeeeeek!!

Dyra · 16/08/2019 17:52

Oh poor you @Karigan195. That's more than a bit grim for you to have been fasting for so long. Hope they don't bump you to tomorrow. Even if it means you get to have dinner.

Hope everything went well for @Stroan too.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 16/08/2019 18:27

@Karigan195 how incredibly frustrating (understanding of course with EMCSs, but still frustrating when you're physically and mentally prepared for it). Hope they can do it later on tonight or tomorrow!

@Megan2018 woohoo for mat leave! Start of mine is weird as I've been so in and out this week and wasn't there today to say goodbye, plus I'm pretty sure I'm handing in my notice over the next few months and won't actually be going back to that job Confused

@DustyDoorframes good news for the BP but boo to the possible GD!

Dipsy77 · 16/08/2019 19:00

Looking for a bit of advice I’ve not really suffered fanny daggers and if I have it’s been once a week if that I had a bath earlier and since I got out I’m having really sharp stabbing pains really low down at the same time it feels like everything is going to fall out I can feel babies head moving at the same time the pain really stops me in my tracks I’ve had to get my hot water bottle out. I’m 35+5 thinking maybe the baby has dropped which is what’s causing it, has anyone else experienced this recently ?

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/08/2019 19:19

dipsy i have been feeling like that for weeks! Now 37+1!

Moraxella · 16/08/2019 19:21

I’ve got stabbing low pains and the MW today said his head is engaged. I can feel about 1cm of his head that’s not engaged 😱 the last three days I have suddenly been unable to walk without pain. I’ve jinxed it by being unscathed until this far 😬

tobeornottobe1 · 16/08/2019 19:35

So exciting babies are arriving!! I feel like my baby engages and then bops back out of my pelvis, the midwife seems to think once baby is engaged it'll stay engaged however another midwife told me baby can move in an out anytime & doesn't mean anything as it's baby #3 for me. Anyone else feel babies head bops in and out? 37/40 x

Tefiti2 · 16/08/2019 19:39

@tobeornottobe1 yes! Baby number 2 here, 38+1 and head isn’t in the pelvis at all - but MW said that with second or more babies it doesn’t mean anything as their heads can bop in and out and it’s not indicative of how close you are to going into labour!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/08/2019 19:39

tobe i am on #5, at 34 weeks i was 3/5 engaged, at 36 weeks i wasnt engaged at all!

Sometimes i can walk ok(ish). Other times every step is like being stabbed in the bits!

BimbleBamble · 16/08/2019 19:41

@dipsy, I've had this too! Midwife said it was likely nerve pain from LO moving position further down, it went the next day and hot water bottle helped.

Thought my pregnancy hormones had calmed down a little...apparently not, lost my husband is sainsburys this evening to the point of absolute panic (he had my phone, keys etc) I burst into tears when I found him, much to the alarm of others around us. He was very puzzled and didn't understand where I thought he would have got to! Preggo lady fail!!

DustyDoorframes · 16/08/2019 20:02

Mine is still all over the shop- she was transverse today having being head down a couple of weeks ago... number 3 and very busy doing backflips!
Hmph, intentionally had a carby supper and got an 8.7. It's looking pretty GD-ey...

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/08/2019 20:05

Mine has stayed head down for a good while now thank god! I was warned i was high risk for an unstable lie but i dont think that will happen, he is probably too large to turn.

Horehound · 16/08/2019 20:13

My baby is head down and always I'd but I don't think down far enough.
How can you tell if head is engaged?

I've been getting some reasonably sore back pains...

Dipsy77 · 16/08/2019 20:31

Thanks all sounds more normal then ,I’ve come to bed with hot water bottle and OH fussing round me !

Stroan · 16/08/2019 20:34

Baby is here, safe and sound. Will update soon, typing one handed and terrible hospital signal.

We're absolutely over the moon, such a healing experience

Horehound · 16/08/2019 20:40

Congratulations @stroan!! Will look forward to hearing from you soon once you're all settled!

Dipsy77 · 16/08/2019 20:41

Congratulations @stroan 😊

Florencenotflo · 16/08/2019 20:43
