Oh @easterbuns1 I'm so glad you are finally getting a wee bit of support!!! You've been having such a tough time!
@Stroan I can imagine it's pretty unrewarding, I find expressing milk frustrating enough!!! Baby pics of DD?????

Exitstrategist · 09/08/2019 11:09

Hi folks- packing the bags here. Where have you found cheap and cheerful maternity nightdresses? Thank you!

Stroan · 09/08/2019 11:50

@exitstrategist I got some button up ones in Primark. I think Asda have some cheap sets too

@Megan2018 she’s gorgeous!

@boodles101 we thought we were but we’ve changed our mind again. Our favourite name is a bit unusual so we aren’t sure whether to go for it.

I’ve been watching call the midwife and I’m in bits every time.

Puglover88 · 09/08/2019 13:49

@Megan2018 he’s gorgeous! Look at her chubby cheeks! 😍

@Stroan @happydays00 can’t believe you guys are so close - how exciting!

@kyles101 enjoy your last day at work! Have they got you any mat leave goodies?

@easterbuns1 sometimes just getting things off your chest can help - that’s good that your midwife was understanding.

@Exitstrategist I’ve got a couple of button nighties from Matalan and a couple of pyjama sets from Asda, they’ve actually got some nice post surgery pyjama sets that are button down and perfect for post baby too!

Puglover88 · 09/08/2019 13:51

Really want to get one of these and they’re in sale in Aldi for £10 next week!

Ow, that was far more emotional than I thought I'd be! The boss took us all out for a lovely lunch, then flowers and some lovely pressies. Tears all round, even the boys welled up a bit I think!! It's so strange to think I won't see them every day... or that I won't have to set an alarm... although I'm aware I'll have a real life small human alarm clock very soon! Not gonna lie, it does feel like a relief to have finally finished, will be able to concentrate on a bit of relaxing and baby prep now... once the weekend of busyness is over anyway - wedding and christening in the same weekend - I'm tired just thinking about it!! X x

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 17:11

puglover that is cute! Is there anything else good in the event?

Puglover88 · 09/08/2019 17:18

@IVEgottheDECAF there’s loads! They’ve got nursery furniture, clothes, muslins and loads of other little bits as well. They’ve also got Bambino Mio reusable nappies for a lot cheaper then anywhere else I’ve found them so I’m going to stock up those!

Puglover88 · 09/08/2019 17:20

@kyles101 ah that’s nice! glad you had a good last day. Time to focus on you and baby now! 😊

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 17:25

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 17:26

Puglover88 · 09/08/2019 17:29

Happy last day Kyles :)

Just trying to catch up again but it’s nigh on impossible lol.

Lovely picture Megan :)

Karigan195 · 09/08/2019 18:10

Does anyone else feel pretty constantly ‘tight’ across the belly now? Any movement and I just go right. Between that and being shoved from the inside it’s so uncomfortable!

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 18:12

My bump is like a rock. The dc have stopped using it as a cushion because its just so full of baby now they cant get comfy on it.

Karigan195 · 09/08/2019 18:18

Glad it’s not just me. I had excess fluid with my first so was still slightly squishy. He’s cooked now so I think he can come out already!!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 18:23

Yeah now i have passed 36 weeks i am in the 'any day will do' zone Grin

boodles101 · 09/08/2019 18:49

My belly is just solid too. The Braxton Hicks in the evening are just constant really. DS hasnt been well this afternoon so snuggled up and fell asleep on my bump, twin 1 was not a fan and just kicked him in the head constantly. Can't say it was very comfortable!

Stroan · 09/08/2019 18:56

Solid here too. And just realised that what I thought was movement deep to the side is actually BH, which makes it even harder.

DD was using it to balance my phone on earlier. Baby clearly not a fan of the Alphablocks app.

Yeah my bump is rock hard too. Braxton Hicks somehow make it even harder. I'm getting quite a bit of pain in my bump, back, hips now. Everything feels so heavy, I don't think there's much stretch left in me!

The period type pains are weird too, they've been coming and going all day. Plus the delightful fanny daggers.

I kind of bit DH's head off this morning too. Over something small, but he was being such a knobber. He doesn't seem to get how exhausting this is. And I've felt pretty good up to about 36 weeks. He keeps saying well go to bed earlier and sleep when Dd naps instead of doing jobs. But I was trying to explain to him, I'm not just tired I am physically exhausted now. Everything aches, moving and doing things takes me twice as long. I have constant pressure in my fanny which is uncomfortable (not to mention the 15lbs or so of baby, fluid and god knows what inside of me!). And sleeping isn't that comfy now either!!! I'm trying not to moan, honestly I am, I'm so grateful to be having a healthy pregnancy but I'm so glad it's my last.

And @boodles101 hats of to you because how you are so cheerful while cooking 2 of them I really don't know!

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 19:04

Bh and cramping here daily. Heartburn is now constant. Do i need a doctor to prescribe me some decent stuff for it or can a mw or pharmacist?

db92 · 09/08/2019 19:09

My bump is pretty solid now too. Braxton hicks make me feel like my belly is going to split open 😣

Megan2018 · 09/08/2019 19:36

Solid belly here too at 35+1, no BH yet but have had a couple of period type pains last night. Short lived though.

I had a horrible upset stomach last night though, felt like death today. I don't think it was anything serious-no pain or anything but my body didn’t like last nights dinner and wanted shot of it asap. Glad I was not at work today. I just have next week to get through.

Stroan · 09/08/2019 19:59

@ivegotthedecaf consultant prescribed me ranitidine even though I didn't have heartburn. She said my nausea was probably caused by heartburn. Of couese, now I have constant heartburn.

So don't try ranitidine!
