Omg i have walked too far! On the plus side all the dcs uniform etc is bought except for one pair of shoes, one coat, one bag and water bottles! Feet are up now!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 08/08/2019 15:06

Sounds like a productive trip out @IVEgottheDECAF!

Baby has this morning moved into the most uncomfortable position and I feel like I can’t take a deep breath at all. Also feel like I can’t do a proper (full) wee anymore. Upside though that I’m no longer vomiting/feeling nauseous. Every cloud!

boodles101 · 08/08/2019 15:22

Glad it has made you feel a bit better stroan so really things start kicking off on Tuesday for you. I'm going to look forward to the small appointments leading up to the 30tg too, my pre assessment is on the 20th which is 12 days away so I'm going to tick off the little things. I also actually had some excitement today about meeting the 2! I know that sounds weird but I've felt in denial all along now. Even said to my mum the other day, it's hard to actually get my head around there being 2, other than doctors telling me. But I'm getting excited to meet them and if they will look similar etc.

Bridget I can't do a proper wee either. Then a baby will move and I need to go instantly!

Megan2018 · 08/08/2019 15:43

I’m sat waiting for my growth scan, 35 weeks today. This one is with the Fetal Medicine consultant as have opted in to a research study, so more detailed than my previous.

Megan2018 · 08/08/2019 16:36

Growth scan done, 35 weeks and estimated weight today 5lb 3. We have dropped slightly on the chart so no indication this GD baby is going to be big! Back again in just over 2 weeks for another one. Oh, and as it was a research scan with the Fetal Medicine consultant got a free 3D photo! 😍🤗

How cool is that @Megan2018!

Who does he/she look like most?

happydays00 · 08/08/2019 16:52

@Stroan - how come you have to stay in for your steroid shots? I just went back on two concurrent days last week when they did mine.

@boodles101 my pre op is tomorrow 😬 in with fetal well being for my penultimate CTG and fluid scan and then down to the anaesthesist. Back on Monday for the last CTG and scan and then c section on Thursday. Waaaaaah. Hopefully this time next week it'll be done and baby will be out and hopefully all ok.

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/08/2019 16:53

Omg megan look at her pudgy face! ❤

Stroan · 08/08/2019 16:57

Aww @megan2018 so cute!

@happydays00 because of the GD. Steroids tend to cause havoc with blood sugars so they'll be testing mine every hour and if they can be controlled then I'll go onto an insulin drip. Can't say I'm looking forward to the hourly wake ups...

Aw, @Megan2018 too cute!!

Last stretch @Stroan and @happydays00 Hope you both get some last minute r&r in!!

One day left at work!!!!!!

boodles101 · 08/08/2019 18:08

Ahhh happydays that's so exciting! This time next week and we'll have 2 new babies to meet.

Lovely 3d photo Megan great weight with little chubby cheeks.

easterbuns1 · 08/08/2019 19:08

@Megan2018 your scan pic is gorgeous but just in case you hadn't noticed your name is visible.

Exciting to think we are going to have two more babies this time next week and then they will be arriving pretty regularly.

I had mw today, barely sat down and promptly burst into tears. My mw is really lovely she's a great listener and seems to really understand but there's not actually anything she can do about my pelvis or man so it's just a case of trying to stay sane for the next 3 weeks!

Megan2018 · 08/08/2019 19:21

@Florencenotflo I think she looks like my DH, but hard to tell as so squished! I must admit I did almost cry when saw it, was unexpected and makes it so real!

happydays00 · 08/08/2019 19:35

@easterbuns1 you poor thing. Was your MW able to say anything to help you feel better? If only mentally / emotionally? I find pregnancy so frigging hard, even people saying the right things is sometimes a boost.

@Stroan oh bloody hell! You poor thing, that's really the last place you want to be when gearing up for delivering. Hope you are able to get some rest and don't find the steroid jabs too ouchie. My first one stung a bit (and then bled everywhere, like literally spurted out onto the midwife and the floor 😬) and I barely felt the second one. Both delivered by the same midwife too! Bizarre!

@Megan2018 v cute picture!!

@boodles101 Exciting and yet still doesn't feel at all real. We are still desperately decorating DDs new room and trying to ship her out over the weekend latest so I can re set what is currently her room ready for the baby. All the baby's clothes are currently on the spare bathroom floor. Really not ideal!! DDs Nursery was set up, everything pristine and hung up beautifully from when I was about 32 weeks with her - I do hope I can get my act together once this baby is here so he doesn't feel completely second best (which is what I'm feeling guilty about right now!)

Stroan · 08/08/2019 20:09

@happydays00 I actually don't really care because it's the means to an end. And since I can barely get out of bed anyway, it's not really any different to being at home! Might be quite relaxing! (That's a joke, antenatal wards are never relaxing!)

DustyDoorframes · 08/08/2019 20:50

@easterbuns1 yay for the MW being sympathetic! Your man does need to pull his finger out though! Re not wanting to burden your friend- I bet you would hate her to be feeling the same the other way, and wouldn't feel burdened. It's only a few more weeks. You can and should be moaning if you feel like it!!
The joy of the wards @Stroan... earplugs and eye masks at the ready! It's so brilliant that it's all finally moving forward though!
@happydays00 nesting overdrive! Both your kids will be fine though whether you get stuff sorted or not- as long as you are not marching about declaring how much nicer one is than the other or something, neither is going to feel second best!
I am on the final leg of my journey home from hols and I don't think I've ever been tireder. The to do lists awaiting me at home and work are unreal, I think there's going to have to be some spectacularly ruthless prioritising over the next few weeks.
Woot last day at work @kyles101 !!!

BBell2 · 08/08/2019 22:17

We just had an antenatal class, an NHS one and it was excellent! Even DH (head in the sand over DC2) thought it was good.

The scientific bit of my signed up for a trial on desision making in labour...read the proposal and rright at the end it says " would like to film the labour and birth" umm that will be a sorry and no thanks then. DH suddenly all interested and wanting to know why I wont!

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 23:00

Sorry for not catching up, I will tomorrow. But just to pop in and say we’re having a little boy!

boodles101 · 09/08/2019 09:15

How exciting Poetry must make it all seem a bit more real now! Are you sorted on a name?

Stroan · 09/08/2019 09:48

@bbell2 I've been watching one born every minute while colostrum harvesting. Cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would agree to be filmed pushing a person out of their body!

And some of the Dads come across SO badly...

OP posts:
DustyDoorframes · 09/08/2019 10:30

Congratulations @IAintWroteNoPoetry !
@Stroan how is the harvesting going? I hate expressing but I'm starting to leak colostrum so feeling vaguely guilty for not taking advantage.

KnobJockey · 09/08/2019 10:32

Is it the latest series Stroan? I couldn't believe that young lad who passed out, then called his girlfriend a knobhead of something when she said she loved him!

easterbuns1 · 09/08/2019 10:41

@happydays00 @DustyDoorframes she said all the right things she really is lovely, then I went to pick the older two up and promptly burst into tears at my friends too so maybe people do realise I'm struggling now. Mw said she would give dp a talking to when she comes out to the house too!

@IAintWroteNoPoetry lovely news!

@BBell2 would it just be medical people or the researchers watching it? I don't think I'd mind that but definitely wouldn't want to be on OBEM or such like! Although I'm glad the Emma Willis program has started again I enjoy watching that and the men seem less useless on that too @Stroan 😂

No colestrum here, I always have a wee try in the shower but nothing there.

Stroan · 09/08/2019 10:42

@dustydoorframes SO slow. A bit soul destroying! Not even managed a full 1ml yet, I got the pump out last night and got a big nostalgia hit from DDs early days! I was so leaky last time, nothing this time. I've even tried listening to recordings of babies crying!

@knobjockey oh, I don't know, I've just been recording random ones I see on the planner and watching them! Most of the people really irritate me, I should maybe watch with the sound off Grin

OP posts:
IVEgottheDECAF · 09/08/2019 10:55

Urgh i cant watch anything like that

Never mind being filmed myself!
