Had a little cry this morning. I'm so fed up and done now. It's so painful to lay down at night, there's no room left for 2 babies and it feels like they want to escape through the top of my bump, like the skin is going to just rip open. DH has taken DS out so I can get some rest, was going to have a nice relaxing bath but our waters been shut off due to a burst pipe up the road 😪
Not long to go now ladies, just got to power through this last hard bit!

Stroan · 28/07/2019 09:13

Ah @boodles101 this bit is bloody hard with just one baby in there. Do you have a rough C-section date yet?

My friend keeps telling me to enjoy mat leave? Enjoy what?!

Oh boodles Flowers you poor thing. Cant even imagine how hard carrying two must be!

Yesterday my bh kept coming and i had back ache too and at one point thought i was going to have to go and get checked but i fell asleep and all seems normal this morning. I have the mw tomorrow morning so will mention it then.

Think yesterday may have prompted me to start sorting bags out today though!

34+3

boodles101 · 28/07/2019 09:21

stroan they have booked me between 37-38 weeks but will move it closer of needed after my fetal medicine scan this week. I'm sure the scan will be fine so guessing they won't move it closer. So I've got about 4 weeks to go unless they want to come out earlier. My mat leave starts next Saturday and I'm spending the day at the spa, which is very welcomed.

Puglover88 · 28/07/2019 09:35

@boodles101 sorry to hear you’re struggling - I’m struggling enough with one so can’t imagine what having two in there would be like! Only a week until your mat leave though and a day of spa pampering which you’ve definitely earned! x

Megan2018 · 28/07/2019 10:09

@boodles101 you are doing brilliantly! Twins is a huge physical challenge. It will be worth it in the end, but I can’t begin to imagine how tough it is.

33+3 here and still having it easy, no BH or pain whatsoever. I am very confused about where she is as I feel no pelvic pressure nor rib pain. Diabetes review on Weds then growth scan a week tomorrow- I should have an idea then if it is induction at 39 or 40.

Whisky2014 · 28/07/2019 10:18

Hi @Stroan. I feel better today, definitely. Even after a horrendous sleep!

Husband came home and we had the Chinese together and watched "working mums" on Netflix...which I recommend btw. There's 2 series on there now.

Don't know why but I woke at 3am and was wide awake until 6am but managed another 3 hours since..thankfully!

@kyles101 yes! My baby is always on the right hand side and very occasionally in the middle. When I went for a private scan at 7 weeks the sonographer told me I have a possible bicornuate uterus although the nhs didn't discount this but didn't confirm either so I was wondering if it was possibly because of that. But maybe not, could just be the position he likes :)

@boodles101 sorry you are in pain and struggling. Maybe they will move the date closer though. That's a real shame about the water though..damn. hope you feel better soon, I cannot imagine having 2 in there, 1 is quite enough for me!

Karigan195 · 28/07/2019 10:41

@boodles101 have you tried swimming etc. My midwife swears it eases discomfort at this stage. I’m sorry you’re so uncomfortable. Nearly there though

boodles101 · 28/07/2019 11:32

karigan I haven't, I will try when I finish work next week but I'm absolutely fine during the day. It's literally just at night when all hell breaks loose!

kyles101 · 28/07/2019 12:33

Record wee night last night - 6!

@Megan2018 will you ave the induction at 39 if that's what they recommend?

Megan2018 · 28/07/2019 12:48

@kyles101 yes definitely, being over 40 the stillbirth risk is terrifying- I’d be happy any day after 37 weeks as am at risk of placenta failing

Lavellan · 28/07/2019 13:13

Oof these last few days I feel like I'm saddle sore. All the pelvic floor action.

db92 · 28/07/2019 13:55

@kyles101 @Whisky2014 my baby is always on the right. Has been since 12 weeks. I have a bicornuate uterus (pretty deep septum) so baby has no room to get to the other side or turn. Are you finding any bh only happen on one side?

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/07/2019 15:05

Baby here generally has back to my left and all his (possibly 8, feels like an octopus) limbs on my right. His movements are making me really uncomfortable today

Megan2018 · 28/07/2019 15:08

My baby is mostly on my left or in the middle, has been all the way through, but last few days I’ve had a few bulges on my right.

Dyra · 28/07/2019 16:21

Pretty sure mine is transverse. Gets very uncomfortable on my upper left when baby stretches, so I think that's where the head is.

RonaldWeasley · 28/07/2019 16:27

Currently have a head quite firmly nestled in my left hip (ouch) and the occasional very obvious bottom protruding from the right side of my stomach. I seem to feel little jabs and punches in all sorts of random places though so I also think I might be cooking an octopus 🐙

Stroan · 28/07/2019 16:51

Mine is right in the middle, bum just above my belly button. He swings from side to side but always goes back to the middle. I get knees and feet either side but most movements are like waves now. The other day I could feel either side of a leg which was a little odd!

OP posts:
BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 28/07/2019 17:53

So interesting - mine is head down, bottom hanging out on my left, pressing hard against the skin. Get little feet sticking out of my right hand side which is always weird. Hoping she doesn’t swivel around and go back to back before labour starts

BBell2 · 28/07/2019 17:58

Mine was extended traverse on my last scan, legs stretched like they are sunbathing, back and head up my left side sometimes very sore top of tummy, dont think they have moved in three weeks. My first was definately low and engaged at this point , I feel a lot more mobile and sorry for those in discomfort!

boodles101 · 28/07/2019 18:04

Mine are both head down. Girl is lower so shes called twin 1 as she'll be first out.
Boy hangs around right down the middle facing inwards, so I generally only feel him wriggling his head/back, no limbs. He sometimes curls into a ball right at the front/middle and it's so weird to see.
Girl is therefore only left with my right side to hang out in, but she definitely let's him and me know she's not happy about being so cramped, she loves a 2 footed tackle and I get all sorts of alien shapes coming out the side of my belly.

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/07/2019 18:32

God i feel really crap. Drained and achey.

I need some energy!

kyles101 · 28/07/2019 18:46

@db92 I don't think I've had any bh... not sure if this is normal or not either?

@boodles101 I can't even imagine what it's like with 2 playing about it there! Mine gets agitated enough with a hand on the bump, it would be perma grumpy if it had to share the space too!

Ah, didn't think about the age @Megan2018 thought maybe it was just the gd.

kyles101 · 28/07/2019 18:47

@IVEgottheDECAF if I had any spare I promise I'd send it your way!

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/07/2019 18:52

Ty kyles

Re BH i have found they have been worse with each pregnancy. Same as after pains! The after pains from dc4 were worse than the bloody contractions!
